What's something great that has happened or will happen?

It could be anything!

It could be something exciting that you're going to do tomorrow, next week, in a couple of months, or maybe even in a year! Or something that you've already done a week ago... It doesn't have to be anything amazing (it could be if you want!), it could simply be something small like drinking the best hot chocolate ever made, seeing a friend, or sitting under a tree with a great book.

Good things that have happened was being born, understanding myself and where I stand in terms of life, re-becoming a 'Christian' (alright, laugh all you want or sneer :D), having travelled through the world, learning a great many things, realising what I want to do with my life, helping people, and meeting amazing people on RPG-D and in real life.

Good things that will happen: I will write my story tommorow and hopefully publish all of my stories in the future (am I allowed to say that as a good that will happen?). I will finish Perelandra by C.S Lewis and begin the last book - it's soooo intense. Like the intense-ness is so thick, I can cut it with a butter knife. Something else that is exciting! Drinking tea tommorow.

Writing a story that I actually have inspiration for!

Realizing that it wasn't my fault. Sure I cried buckets, but the relief was nearly unbearable.

Getting the like button back.

Getting my brand new alienware laptop. First new computer in ten years *hugs laptop*
Having lots of awesome stuff to like!!! Seeing there are new blogs up to read!!! Making new friends and playing new games, writing new stories and catching new pokemon.

Becoming more active on the 'D than I've ever been and loving it.

Also a nice relaxing weekend and the best Saturday that I've had in months. :D

AND! Next year some friends and I are going to rent a beach house for a week.
Plus I have a week off work starting the 23rd.

For me, something that happened... a week or so ago I went hiking in the mountains and we came to a point where we could see lots of greenery, farmlands, and clouds rolling over them. It was a gorgeous sight and I felt like writing about it (divine inspiration!).

That and I stood at the edge of a mini-cliff and was able to maturely recreate this from Last of the Mohicans (to family and random people that passed by - I did get some stares):



Which is an opportunity I NEVER pass over.

Then after we went to a tearoom, looking over an amazing garden (beautiful flowers and beetles), where the tea and cake came straight down from Heaven.

That's awesome!!!!! :-D

Theoretically, I will be getting some sleep tonight!

Receiving my university grades a couple of days ago was awesome, 'cause they were the best ones I've gotten in all my years of tertiary study so far.

I'm also excited to start my next semester of university in a week! Dunno why. Probably because it's the last semester of my first degree, and we'll be doing lots of case-based work, learning to use our optical equipment, possibly even working with real patients.

Will happen: Seeing Leonard Cohen live in August! Stoked beyond belief! Also, going to a music festival with my big sister on the 28th of this month and seeing some of our shared favourite bands. We live so far apart usually, so it's so great to be able to do stuff together when I'm home.

Has happened: Getting my brother-in-law, who is an extremely picky eater, to try the vegan lentil balls I made yesterday, and to concede that they were good 8D There's hope for the world after all.

Might happen: Taking a break from work later on today to maybe write a post and talk to some wonderful people on AIM. -crosses fingers- If I can finish on time.

Will happen: My dad comes home from the hospital today! If that doesn't happen, I'm going after the hospital staff.

I'm also moving to New York City at the end of the month to start a new job. I still don't have a place to live, but let's not think about that right now >.>

I'm finally getting somewhere in the layout I'm making! I'm really proud of it, so far, which is why I frigging talk about it all the time, clearly.

I'm generally feeling much better about things and my muse is coming back. Huzzah!

After sleeping on a 20-year old mattress for four years, I've finally gotten the chance to buy a brand new bed set. ^__^ I'm even excited to put it together, I don't even mind the work it'll take if it means getting a better night's sleep. XD

One thing I am excited for is in about a week or a little more, if the weather is great, I am going to be in the wilderness, hiking and canoeing! The latter being my all time favourite!

My husband and I are settling on our house on Friday! The very same day my sister is returning my car after leaving me car-less and walking to work while pregnant for almost five months! My other sister's getting married in August! I'll submit my book to agents in the fall! I'm having a baby in December!

AHHH.

Only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous, ha.

This sort of a thread deserves more love (and so I'm going to give it some)!

Anyways... something great that has happened, though may seem trivial to many folks, was finishing a recent chapter in my story that I was writing - it was an overly exciting one! I'm getting quite far with my story so that's good and an awesome thing that will most definately happen is me finishing the story. I also came up with a better title to another story I will be writing in the close-future 8D

Something awesome that will happen is going to a cottage this weekend, I think? Because it means I can be drowned in nature and pretend that I'm a Hobbit. Getting myself away from technology, modern times, and the likes (not that they're bad - I just need a break even if it's a day or two).

Also, I will find that damned amazing documentary I was watching!! I'm failing terribly at finding it on the internet, I feel so pathetic, but I WILL FIND YOU *Last of the Mohicans voice*!

Oh, and I will buy The Lorax DVD next month. I will be sitting in university watching The Lorax like the 'profound and mature gentleman' that I am

Yes, awesome things that have happened and will happen.

So, two days ago my trusty -- but exceedingly cheap -- monitor finally gave out. Boyfriend was a sweetie and, despite my assertions that I could make do with an antiquated monitor that I was using ten years ago, took me out yesterday to make a surprise monitor purchase.

It gets better! As I've noted frequently on this site, I have two ferrets. Boyfriend was tossing out the trash from the monitor and the nifty new computer chair he acquired, but decided to keep the boxes and use them as a ferret toy. Since ferrets will play with anything if you make it look fun and exciting. I spent the vast majority of today cutting down the boxes, making hidey-holes, adding other boxes for tunnels, and generally having fun while armed with glue and a roll of tape.

I plan on finishing this monstrosity over the week. I'm actually allowing some soda cans dry right now, which I'll later use as pillars to prop up a platform for the monsters. I'm not sure what else I can do to make it even more exciting, but I'll think of something!


Edit: Also, so proud of my youngest. The eldest usually uses the litter box before heading out, but the youngest isn't so good. Lately though, she's been going back into the cage to do her business. I've caught it every time she does it and reward her. I'm so proud of her!

Of course, she's very smart and very sneaky. She's pretended to go to the bathroom by backing into the corner, catching my eye, and then coming out immediately to get her reward, but I don't mind reinforcing that sometimes. It demonstrates a willingness to go back to her cage, which is all I want!
