The Great Hall

This is an open Harry Potter RP meant to be silly and odd. It's as much of a forum game as a roleplay.

A portal has opened up in the Great Hall and Hogwarts students from various time periods begin appearing, but the most well-known ones seem a bit changed....

There are four rules (aside from the general RP rules):

1. You must play canons completely different than how they were written in the books. However, the general setting must remain the same.

2. Anyone can pick up any canon at any time and play them, but posts from the same canon character or the same player cannot be back to back. Please put who you are posting for at the top of your post (both canon and original). Players may not pick up other players' original characters, only book canon characters.

3. If you play a canon, you must know what has been done with that canon so far and keep the canon true to how it has been played in the thread. However, you are free to add to the canon character anything you wish.

4. Individual posts cannot be more than 200 words.

In essence....anyone can play any canon at any time. You are free to play original characters as well, but they remain your own. Canons are not ever 'claimed' by anyone. A single canon can be played by 50 people, and some of those can go back and forth with other players. The setting is given, but how the story evolves is up to the writers. There are no character sheets; show in your posts what the characters are like.
