I played it for an hour or two, and lost interest. I've never been able to understand how people get addicted to this game. Just isn't my cup of tea :(

I have almost all the expansion packs for The Sims 2 & 3. I haven't had time to play much, because I have been RPing 24/7.

My thing is i mostly just love to decorate their houses lol, i'm actually going to end up getting the supernatural expansion as soon as it comes out so :) i want to get the pets expansion as well.

Way too over complicated, made the simpliest of things difficult to do. Yes the extra options were nice and the extra activities, but Sims 2 will always remain my favourite.

I have the ps3 version, but I'm hopefully getting a laptop soon and then I'm getting the sims 3 for sure. And all the expansion packs... I just want to make my characters on it and see what they do.

I have just got this and I like some things but not others. I like how I had everything with Sims 2 and now I have to buy expansions for Sims 3. :p

I'm not as excited as I used to get about the games though.

I have Sims 3. Whenever I get a new game of the Sims (including the Mediaeval variation), I play for about a week and then get bored of it for having play too much of it and never touch it again. XD

I also get annoyed that the game randomly generates such odd-looking townspeople/peasants.

I gave all my copies to my younger brother.

I do this! You can't drag me away for a week, and then I get bored and it's never played again (unless I'm really bored or not wanting to RP)... although I will always love the fact that it has horses. HORSES! I got so excited over that.

    ...And then bored.

I love sims 3 i'm like a massive fan. I want to get all the add on's but I dont want the new one as I dont like supernatural stuff. I fell like it would ruin my game. Though I cant wait till seasons comes out as I will be able to have proper weather and do so much more with water.Like finally going swimming at the beach.

I've played, all of them. XD I have to admit >> that I actually didn't like Sims 3 when I first played it. I guess I was stubborn and didn't like change. But... I ended up playing it with a really good friend of mine and I've kind of been addicted since. Not like every day mind you... but just A LOT more interested in the game than I was before. XD

So, no you clearly aren't alone. XD My whole family plays Sims... but they all like Sims 2! I've never tried Medieval Sims before.

This is me pretty much to a T. I love Sims 3 and finally all the expansion packs except Supernatural since I don't like all that stuff either. I actually have a mod that turns off vampires in Late Night. Though, I'm fighting the urge to buy Supernatural. It has some really cool stuff in it, like the new Gem Cutter. That sounds awesome!

It's been a long while since I posted in here but I've noticed that there's no real discussion going on in this thread. It's basically all, "I loved that game! The [original/second/third] installment was my favorite!" And then the next person inserts their opinion and it goes on. Perhaps because all the responses in this thread are all so scattered and distant. Lol

So I will respond to various things I have read in case anyone ever comes back to look at this thread! Sims Medieval is on the PC, so for the one who said they didn't like console games.. lolwut? Seasons is indeed the next expansion now that Supernatural is out. On the note of Supernatural. Monee if you did get Supernatural it has a built in function to turn off all the supernatural people so you don't get them. Without the mod. XD

I must disagree with whoever said, "The graphics are also fascinating, like making it look as a real-life experience through sims." Because to me they look like they're on the verge of becoming the people from Wall-E with their roundness and squishiness. It's like their baby fat never falls off no matter how old they get. Of all the graphics Sims 2 was the best. In general, I liked Sim 2 the best, but Sims 3 is still fun. I did finally play it since my last post, getting over the graphics to enjoy the other things in it.

It has occurred to me also that the reason this thread has very little real discussion is because most people don't want to read what everyone else said before them. Ah, well! So how about less liking the game and more hilarious stories from things that they did or happened? XD I had a friend who spent like two hours building a house and putting stuff in it (Sims 2), and then went she went outside and watched the sky while waiting for a taxi. Before the taxi got there a satellite fell out of the sky and smashed her sim. She hadn't saved.

I have owned the original sims, 2, and as well 3 (with Ambition expansion). I have mods on probably all 3 that I own. I kinda like crazy mods. lol Like being able to move unmovable objects (such as fire~) around.~ xD I am sorta evil sometimes. muahahaha~ :p Nonetheless. Sims ftw. <3

Been playing Sim 3 for a while, and it's brilliant, if you ask me. My inner story teller always comes out, so I "narrate" my Sims' adventures to myself; sometimes, I'll base Sims off of characters of my own or created by others that I am enjoying in RPs, books, movies, etc. Sounds totally nerdy, and it is. But I could spend hours at a computer making up stories for my Sims as I go.

As someone interested in design, I also enjoy playing around with architecture... sometimes even the completely unrealistic. Floating houses, anyone?
