Radiant As The Sun

Just something I put together for my own site and decided to share. Feel free to change the rules or add more. You can also change the colors if you want but I don't see why you would Credit and post in here with where you are using!

The Rules

Please PM a member of the staff if you have any questions.

The Board

• You must be at least 13 to register. This is not a site rule, but a server rule.
• NOTSY is rated PG-13. All sexual scenes must fade to black. Violent scenes should be handled carefully, meaning no overly graphic details. Cursing is allowed but please keep it to a minimum. If this becomes a problem, word filters will be put into place.
• New rules will be added at the staff's discretion. Members will be notified if the rules change.

The Registration and Application

• Register with your character's first name in all caps like so: KATNISS EVERDEEN
• We do not have a character limit. As long as you can keep them all active, you can create as many as you'd like. See the section on activity for more details.
• Embrace variety. There are quite a few usergroups to choose from so we don't want to see an overabundance of tributes. Make a tribute, then make a capitol citizen. Make a peacekeeper, then follow it up with a district citizen. Same goes with genders. We don't want a ton of girls and no guys. If balance becomes an issue, bans will be enforced on certain usergroups.

The Posting

• We do not have a word count. We prefer quality over quantity and the method of making sure you give the other person something to reply to.
• No godmoding. Your tribute isn't going to get a perfect hit every time, even Katniss missed her mark sometimes. Be realistic. It goes the other way too. You're not so fast that you can miss every attack. If you feel like someone is being unfair in a fight, please let a member of the staff know.
• Spell-check your posts. There's no excuse for poor spelling and grammar when most browsers have built in spell-check and grammar-check.

The Graphics

• All playbys must be of celebrities or models and they must be registered in the face claim. If you do not register your face, someone else is eligible to take it.
• Signatures can have a maximum width of 500. At this time, we are not enforcing a height limit but please keep your images relatively small for those with slow internet. Avatars can be up to 500x200.
• Always credit the maker of your graphics. A simple note in the interests section of your profile will suffice.

The Activity

• You must post at least once a week. A post means one in-character post, whether it be starting a thread or replying to one.
• If your character has claimed a role (mentor, victor, tribute, etc) that requires activity, stay active. If a week has gone by and we haven't heard from you, you will be sent a pm. If two weeks passes and we still don't haven't heard anything, your position will be opened up for someone else to claim. If you are a tribute and you go missing during the games, your character will be killed.
• If you're going to be gone for any length of time, post in the Away forum.

The Games

• If your character dies in the games, you have the option of bringing them back as if they were never in the games in the first place. They will not be allowed to enter any more games.
• Games will last one RL month with two RL weeks between each game.
• To ensure that everyone has a chance at being in the games, members are allowed only one tribute in each game. Escort and stylist positions will be changed for each game.

The Laws

• Panem laws must be followed. If you plan on breaking one of the laws, let an admin know so that you can figure out if there would be a punishment and what it would be. Panem is very strict on their laws so people would be punished more often than not.
• The following is a list of laws that are more commonly broken: running away from the district or capitol, murder, theft, crossing district boundaries and hunting in the woods. The hunting in the woods rule may be waived for a few characters in the poorer districts.
• Travel between the districts and the Capitol is forbidden except in the cases of escorts, stylists, mentors, victors, and of course, tributes. District mayors and peacekeepers may also leave the district in certain occasions.
