Ooc: A Day At The Fair

    A Day at the Fair

    Players: Kajouka, Felix, Bittersweet, Daenelia, DesR
    Genre: Small Town, 1900s
    Rating: PG
    Is this RP open or closed?: OPEN! COME IN!
    Notes: Besides the fact that this is my first time to try this? Let's go for a small town setting at the local country fair. Your characters probably know everyone, or most everyone. The time is morning and people are just arriving.

    Marsha Smith - 17

    Appearance: petite, 5'1", with long blond hair and a small frame. Not much in the chest area and lacking curves. Dresses modestly and appropriately, lest her father see her smacked. Her eyes are blue, spaced well, and she has fair skin. She's of average appearance, better looking than a plain jane, but by no means a knock-out.

    Personality: Marsha is a bit on the shy side. She wants to flirt with the boys, but finds herself clamming up. She's always dreamed a boy would take her on the ferris wheel or win her kewpie doll at the ring toss or the bowling game, but so far no one has. Probably because she hardly talks to anyone. She does have a few girlfriends, and she plans to attend the fair with them.

    Appearance: Dark haired and dark eyed but with a odd scattering of light gold freckles across his nose Charles aspires to look like a serious young man, but a quick smile, the twinkle in his eyes, and a penchant for the odd brightly colored thing about his person such as a kerchief, or flower in his lapel gives lie to this.

    Personality: Serious at his work as a law clerk, he enjoys outings and fads away from the office. His family are good church going country people but he no longer lives at home but in a boarding house for young gentlemen in town, and he sees them about once a month when he goes to visit. He is what they call "a good catch" and knows it, but has no plans to settle down just yet, so plays the field a bit.

    Gabe Carver- 20

    Appearance: dark haired, tan skin, blue eyes that are always catching the light of his smile. He is always trying to give the appearance of a laid back chill guy from his carefree smile to the cheesy wink he can give people at times.

    Personality: Gabe is Gabe. He's sweet and caring and tends to be a very laid back and chill guy. He was raised in the church house and knows what is expected of him. Though he's a psychology major at the nearest university Gabe does have a tendency to do his own thing. He likes to have fun and let loose every now and then. Overall, Gabe's a good guy, you just gotta get to know him first.

    Barbra Fleischer - age 34

    Appearance: a slender woman, with curly brown hair that escapes its confines, as her hair is braided and rolled around her head, fastened in her neck. She wears a bonnet over her hair, so that mor or less keeps things in place as well.
    Background: She is the middle daughter who never married but takes care of her elderly parents at their farm. She is at the fair to see if she can buy a new milk-giving cow as the old one just passed away.

    (What kind of country fair are we talking about anyway/ I am Dutch, so I'd like to be sure I have the right thing in mind.. and it is the 1900s right? Did they hwear khaki shorts and flipflops in America ast that time? :S.)

    When I get home I'll put up a few links but is you google the first ferris wheel and or michigan state fair 1900 you'll get some info.ladies would be in dresses. Men would wear pants and like I image farmer shirts lol. I'll post images when I'm on a computer too!

    Yay, this sounds fun.

    James Ackerman - 63

    Appearance: White hair, most of his teeth have fallen out, walks with a stoop and a cane, is slightly deaf, has bright green eyes. Is a little shorter than average because of the way he walks. His voice is like a bullhorn, and he uses it often.

    Personality: He thinks he is the most knowledgeable person in the world, and that everyone needs a bit of his wisdom, or how else will the poor things survive? He's somewhat rude and very arrogant, and very fond of both adulation and for hearing his own voice. He's got a reputation for being somewhat senile, but he's actually got some pearls of wisdom hidden among his words - if you can hear him for long enough without getting deaf.

    I personally prefer freeform/what makes sense. Being on a strict posting order can really slow it down if someone goes off for a week. Post if it makes sense for you and let's just roll!

    Bobby Jones - 18
    (Sorry Kajouka, I have been wanting to make either Bobby or Madeline since I read your first post.)

    Appearance: Blue-eyed, golden haired, tall for his age. The 'cutest boy in town', with round, open features and an infectious smile. He's usually dressed in the roughest clothes he can find, but he's a little 'dolled-up' for the fair.

    Personality: He's mischievous, childish, and a bit of a jerk. When he wants something he'll do just about anything to do it. He is slightly arrogant and hates looking as ignorant as he really is. He's a sweet-talker and a flirt as far as girls are concerned and loves to show off or boast about something that his father (who is the sheriff of the town) did.
