    So... hi!

Thought I should introduce myself, too. So... yeah... not so good at this.

Oh, few things to say - English isn't my first language, so I probably will make mistakes, I'm sorry about that. Trying to improve myself, and this forum appears to be good place where to do that. I think I have some mistakes even here. xD

Anyways... I have been roleplaying for many years, like... 8 or so. So.. I consider myself to be quite experienced...

What else... oh god. If you want to know Anything, just let me know, I don't bite. Hard. Only when roleplaying, if you know, what I mean. ;)

But yeah, it's nice to be here!

Hi Murtagh! Welcome to the 'D!

I gotta ask, is your name reference from the Eragon series?

Hey, I think right off the BAT your English is pretty damned good! I can barely read French and I only speak English, so I'm forever amazed by people who can tackle languages.

    Welcome to the 'D. :)

Lily Lilac, yes, my name is reference to Murtagh from Inheritance cycle. :p I love Eragon books and Murtagh is by far my favourite character and using his name as my username.. well, it has been my username since I discovered forums. :p

kisstheground, I'm not sure what you mean by "people who can tackle languages"... *ashamed* But thanks, anyways. I'm trying to keep up with all the languages I have to learn and speak, and even though English is the one I really can speak, I'm not really good..

But thanks for welcoming me here! :)

Welcome to RPG-D, Mur! Hehehe, I thought you were Irish because of your username :-D Regardless, I still approve it!

No worries about your English. There's lots of members here from different parts of the world, some of which that have English as a second or even third language. What are the other languages that you have to learn and speak?

Jareth, yeah, I guess here are many, who are not born english... :D

But other languages, my first language is Estonian, I'm from Estonia, as well, my flag shows. :D Then my second is English, third language happens to be Russian, I really don't get it... I'm bad with Russian, but only one more year to study it... then my fourth language is German, which I really don't get, either. It's kinda hard, but I'm not paying much attention in classes, either. Mainly, because I have been absent a lot and I'm lazy... And my fifth language is Latin, but... well, it's not something people talk much these days, but our school teaches us this and I quite like it. :p

Many languages and hard to keep up with all of them. :D

That's a lot! XD And German, wow! I'm so jealous of you! I love the German language, I wish I could learn it!

I've also studied lots of languages. I used to study Japanese and Korean in the past but I've given up on the two. I found them easy to learn, but I'm just too lazy. Now I only know a little of each language, just some words and phrases.

I know French but I'm not that amazing since I do not really use it that much except to read. I also know some Portuguese but I'm trying to improve it. Then I have to study Latin and Ancient Greek in university this year. I also want to learn Gaelic.

It looks like a lot but I'm not that amazing with languages. So I definitely can relate with you! haha It is hard to keep up :-D

I almost picked French this year... but I'm happy I didn't, tho. :D The teacher is just... weird. So I went on with my Russian and we, who we picked Russian to continue with, we do almost nothing in classes. Love it. :D

And I'd love to learn Ancient Greek, or well, Greek at least. I somewhat love Greece and would like to go there and speak this language... we have a teacher in our school, who is from Greece, but she's teaching French and Spanish.. and I'm kinda sad because of it. :D

Yeah, hard to keep up and I have problem with word genders. I don't really get it why some words are male and some female and yeah... that's why Estonian and English are way easier. :D I'm not sure, but Latin I guess doesn't have genders, either... hm. Well, long time no school, guess I don't have to remember these things. XD

Yeah! I also have trouble with words that are masculine or feminine (I don't know why they need genders!), which is why I struggle when speaking or writing French. My accent is also very terrible too.

Is there a reason you are learning so many languages? :) Is it just for fun?

German has genders, too. And well, Russian. :D That's mainly why I have no idea what I'm doing in classes. :D

Well... Estonian is obvious, and English started from third grade, and Russian from sixth. These I had to learn. And now in 10th, I had to pick third and fourth language, I started learning German and continued with Russian. Tho I had a chance not to learn Russian, but these other classes I wanted to take first (not language), they had too few people who wanted them... made me sad. :(
And I have to learn Latin, it's our school thing.

Oh, and this grade-system, I hope you understand that... now I'm going to 11th, when the summer ends. :D

Ah, so it's for school xD That's really a lot of languages to be learning for school! But I think that's great, too. Most of the schools I've gone to, they only allowed us to choose one other language. French was one of them.

Welcome, Murtagh (I knew that you must be a fan of Eragon because of the name - though I haven't read the books, well I did... Only the first one xD).

Glad to have you on this board! =D I see that you speak German (O how I dig that, sorry if I sound creepy but German is a very hot language...). English isn't your first language? I wouldn't have guessed! ;-} You write English very well! Don't worry about mistakes though =) Everyone makes them. And... AKDAKDJAKJD RUSSIAN? Can I ask you something... it might seem forward but would you marry me? xDDD

I'd be happy, too, it there would be less languages. I mean, this last period I had ALL these classes and all of us mixed the languages and spoke, I don't know, Russian in German classes and so on. It's really hard to concentrate on studying one language fully, when we have to learn five different, although Estonian for me is really-really easy and English is not that hard, either. But all the others...

Upper Class Twit, hi yourself. :D You totally should read all the other books too! Though I haven't read the last one, still waiting for the Estonian translation. Few more months... they are so slow!
    Thanks, tho. :D
Yea, Russian. What's so surprising about that? :D We are neighbors! I mean, Russia and Estonia.
And I'd love to marry you. :)

=D! I just love Russia! History and mythology and all that beautiful jazz. I will look into reading the other books, yes definately will do that. I always thought there was only two Eragon books (you learn something new everyday). I remember Murtagh being villain? Not too sure.
And yay! Consider us a married couple then xD!

I can't say I love Russia, but I'm Estonian, so my opinion is of course influenced by Estonia's history. :)

There are four Inheritance books, actually. :D Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr and Inheritance (which is the one I haven't read). And Murtagh... isn't a villain, I think. He's cool, but that's my opinion. :D

Married couple we are. :D Known for five minutes, but yeah, sure, why wait?! XD

    Hi Murtagh, welcome :)

These boards are practically filled with people who are not native speakers of English. I'm one of them. I'm a native Dutch speaker but also manage English (obviously), as well as some French and German. I always think that if a non native Dutch speaker can speak Dutch as well as I can, they are allowed to criticize my English, which frankly is never for what foreigner would want to learn our idiot language ;)

I know quite a few roleplayers from Estonia these days. Hip and happening! Used to the euro yet?
