Modern Fantasy/ Sci-fi/ or maybe a fandom or two.

Genre: I’m just getting back into RPing so I’m not sure what I want right now. I’m looking for something either Modern Fantasy or Future/Sci-fi. If you have a Dresdan site I would be very interested. There are possible fandom boards I’d be willing to check out.

Difficulty: Medium to High I suppose. I’m not a fan of WC but I will post decent lengths. I would like to see a solid application process.

Type of Creatures: Depends on the genre. I am not looking for Mutant.

Preferred Rating: PG-13 at the lowest. I'm looking for a mature community to join. I am not interested in any school settings.

Preferred Number of Members/Activity: Small to Medium. Large if the story is good enough.

Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Present/future

Other Notes: Like I said I’m just getting back into RPing. I’m looking for a mature community full of decent people and minimal OCC drama. A couple notes on what I’m looking for in a specific community.

Modern Fantasy: I would like traditional races (vamps, Werewolves, witches etc..) I’m not looking for mutants or a place where a virus or cosmic event ‘all of a sudden’ created the supernatural. I’d like these beasties to be steeped in history. I want to be able to fight a 900 year old vampire and take on a cult of werewolves founded by Ganghis Khan (if he was into that kind of thing). I plan on making an adult character and I’d like to be rping with an adult. I would prefer that supernatural creatures are still secret, unknown to the general population.

Sci-Fi: I’m looking for something conflict orientated. Something where Humanity is going toe to toe with big green and ugly. I’m not a huge fan of apocalyptic story lines but I wouldn’t mind ‘fighting to take earth back’. I’d like to see space involved.

Fandom: I would love to see boards involving Eureka, Dresdan Files, Ready Player One or Magic the Gathering.

We are an original modern fantasy role playing forum that has a variety of creature types from Elves, half-elves, Mages and dwarves to vampires, werewolves and other kinds of shifters. We also have angelic and demonic heritage characters and demi-god characters. If you like playing plain humans we also have that as well. I am a personal fan of historical supernaturals, especially vampires, so not to worry on that front. The current year is 2018 and magic has come back to Earth. All sorts of magical and supernatural creatures exist on Earth though most humans know nothing of their existence; the humans that do either hunt them to kill them or study them with a few exceptions. War rages with those humans while they try to keep their existence a secret while others just try to exist. The field of battle is set are you ready?

Rumors and whispers of magic is flowing to more and more human ears. Tales of supernatural and downright magical occurrences are finding their ay to Brood and Human ears alike. For the Broods, werewolves and others aligned against Mages it is troubling for that means Shadow Mages found their way to Earth, for Humans it is fantastical and curious; but could it be real?! Can the Broods stop the Mages from gaining a foothold on Earth? Or will the Shadow Mages ultimately corrupt Earth as they did Utopia?

I may have something for you, a Sanctuary RP. It's got both fantasy and Sci Fi mixed in.
It looks like you are a bit of a Syfy watcher, Eureka being a fandom and all so I think you might have glanced or seen a few episodes or commercials for Sanctuary. Also love Dresden Files, Sanctuary is relativity close to it only less magic and more science (thus the scifi hybrid genre) We do have werewolves and some vampires though very few since they are almost completly whipped out. We also have a great community and wonderful staff and I am not just saying that. I have run many boards and never have I loved a group as much as I love the Sanctuary crew.

Hello!

I think we actually fit a lot of the requirements for what you want. We're a supernatural site, and we try to keep all of our creatures at least somewhat grounded in actual mythology and lore. I know that a lot of people who play some of the older creatures (particularly vampires) put a HUGE emphasis on research and knowing the time periods they come from and how that's impacted their personality and what have you. But on that note, we also have a ton of humans running around who are just as important to the various plots happening on the board, because a good character is a good character powers or no, right?

We've also got a fairly solid application process, with flexibility to write more or less depending on what you're feeling for your character.

Fancy a little AU Battlestar? It's not fighting for Earth (yet) but it is conflict-oriented. They're going up against robots instead of green aliens, but it's definitely got fight and it's got action and it's got a bit of the criminal seediness. We've got three arenas of play between revenge-set military, seriously-in-danger-of-blowing-up military and civilian. We have plenty of mature members that respect people who have lives and jobs. It's the year 2017. Voldemort was defeated in the final battle 19 years ago. Harry Potter and the rest of the gang are sending or have sent their kids to Hogwarts where Minerva McGonagall continues to lead as Head Mistress. Kingsley Shacklebolt is the Minister of Magic and has put the Ministry back on it's feet. All seems well in the wizarding world.

However there are whispers of a dark power returning. An unknown man causing trouble here and there. It's nothing big yet and no-one can figure out who he is but even after 19 years, people still have faint worries of Voldemort returning. Fear is slowly starting to creep back into the minds of those who thought they were safe and Kingsley is trying his hardest to hunt down the trouble-maker and get on top of the situation.

Everyone knows that history always repeats itself...

We'd love to have more members, please give the site a look out and we're more than welcoming. We're a new site with a handful of active members who are all very welcoming and we'd love to have some more people to meet and characters to plot with!

A Harvest Moon Romance Rp!

Alamos village, a lively and hustling little town! Full of flowers, and giggling. The villagers are always so nice too! It may be a rather small town with its famous Clock Tower and famous Garden, but it isn't small in people. Long ago, before Alamos was blessed with these people, it was a quaint little town. It still had the clock tower and the garden, but it was a small town of just a couple dozen people. Villagers used to visit the clock tower every day to pray to the Celestial Guardians that guard the village. But as time passed, more people came along to the town and the village was so hustling and bustling people never had time for the Celestial Guardians. The Celestial Guardians could not protect the village without prayer. They could barely survive without it! They to this day rest in the garden. What have the villagers done? They have opened the town to the evils of the world. Alamos is to this day unprotected.
