Magic, Dragons, And Swords, Oh My!

[b]Other Notes:[/b] I couldn't find an Eragon one that I liked, so i thought that I would go here. I like the whole dragon aspect, so if you know of any other fandoms that are easy to get into that have dragons that would be great! I also don't really like c-boxes, so if anything important happens there I would prefer to not be a member of the site.

When is a legend a legend?

For 450 Turns, Pern was Thread-free. Believing themselves rid of their ancient enemy once and for all, the people of Pern turned a blind eye to the empty Weyrs, to the slow decline of their once-saviors, the dragonriders. By the time the Red Star began winking again in the dawn sky, it was almost too late, and even the drastic measures of the dragonriders weren't enough to fully prepare their scant numbers to survive the coming Pass. So Lessa took matters into her own hands and made a jump between to the start of the Eighth Interval, to rally the Weyrs of the past to come forward and help the people of the present. But something went wrong. Lessa's delirium never broke, and the riders of the Eighth Interval were only able to patch together the urgency through the feverish images of a panicked Ramoth. Lessa finally succumbed to her fever, and the riders of the Eighth Interval made a decision: they would make the jump to the Ninth Pass regardless of the dangers.

Why is a myth a myth?

Arriving in the Ninth Pass, their numbers greatly decreased by losses during the trip, the riders of the past hastily reorganized themselves into fighting forces. Fort Weyr's numbers were staggered, further decreased by losses in Threadfall. The Weyr limped through the first Turn of the Pass, hoping there really was light at the end of the tunnel. Fort Hold, meanwhile, prospered under the leadership of Lord Groghe, but his estranged oldest son had a secret plan to take back what was rightfully his...

You don't need any sci-fi knowledge to play here. We follow the Rule of Cool and take the "it works because it does" approach, and the technology isn't too far removed from our own--we've just got space ships and magic. If you're comfortable with a modern setting, you'd be comfortable here, too!

How about a Merlin themed game? We have Dragons, will /dragon/. We'll be adding a second Dragon at some point though, we do follow some of the shows storylines, but there are witches/druids/knights and all things medieval if you didn't want to play a dragon just interact with them.

CoT is a text based play by post forum based on the dark fantasy series of games and books by Bioware. We are analternative universe Thedas but hold to the lore and geography of the world, all of the history and events up until DA2 but not Asunder. Many events which take place post DA2 are discussed in our Codex and added to our Agreed Canon.

We are an AU Thedas and will be following "The Path Not Taken" thus our plot will differ from Bioware, the events differ, but the world and the lore is the same.

Hi there! While our rating is just a tidbit out of your request, we do have the majority of the rest that you are seeking. Dissimulation gives the options of various humanoids, and that of Dragons in an original Fantasy setting. Choose between a Full Blood Dragon, a Drake (The Dissimulative Shifter) who can shift between that of a full blood appearance, and that of an Elf to meet society's standard, or even a Mixbreed that does or does not have the ability to shift, though their true appearance is a collision between Dragon and Humanoid.

While we are a fresh site, we welcome members with open arms, hoping to get at least a sturdy 10-15core members, to avoid that ocean feeling, but still keep things interesting.
