Powers: Telepathy: Jacob has what has the standard for telepathy in hybrids. While he is not the most powerful telepath, he is still very impressive. His powers include mind reading, telepathic communication (within five miles), limited mind control (his limit is 4-5 minutes until he runs out of energy), memory deletion, and psionic blasts. His psionic blasts shock his targets and are incredibly painful. He also has good control over his telepathic communication and can maintain it with multiple people and even link them even when he is beat up physically.
Power Weaknesses: Concentration is his biggest weakness. He is still young, which makes the immense amount of focus required to perform most of these abilities even harder. It prevents him from doing too many things at once while focusing on mental attacks. Jacob can only read minds when he is trying to. It is not automatic.
Other Skills: The kid has a lot of charisma. He can usually talk himself in and out of any mess. He is also quick on his feet and knows all the in and outs of the city.

A Little About Your Character:
Jake grew up in Medina. He used to shadow his older brother Nathan and his friends. He knew both Janella and Brenna before the explosion, though he was younger then them. They were close friends with his football star brother. Both his mother and father died in the explosion and he has no other family.

He hasn't seen his older brother since the Medina massacre. He ran away from Gideon and and went to Las Vegas he met up with a group of hybrids there and became friendly, though he loved to uses his powers to sway the casino hostess to let him play and drink underage.

After Genesis came to Las Vegas to help Jacob and his team out, Jacob was fifteen at the time, he returned to Gideon City and join them. He stayed in Genesis until they disbanded after the registration act was no longer needed and hybrids had equal right. The only problem with not having to hide anymore when you're sixteen, they make you have guardians.

Janella and Nat took Jacob in after the disbanding of Genesis with no questions ask. He is a big part of their family, but is kind of freaked out by how much smothering Janella does since he used to have a weird crush on her when he was 12.

Janella doesn't want him to have to fight anymore, but Jacob always feels like he needs to be stronger, After not being able to help her in the final conflict Jacob felt weak and vowed never to let his friends down again.

Jacob also has some issues following the final conflict. He is scared of Purge, well not really but when he's near its awkward. He was also traumatized by seeing so many of his friends die on the battle field. It was a lot for anyone to witness, much less a fifteen year old.
