It really depends for me, tbh.....

I am a Admin of a forum so I can't do 10-15 mins post for each post i do as I do have things I need to be doing on my own forum as well as in real life.

    Maybe 5 mins at most...

I'm one of the slowpokes, as I usually take about two days to get up a multiparagraph reply. It takes me anywhere from 2~5 hours to write up a post because I have a nasty little habit of writing some, looking over the first few bits, deleting and restarting if I don't like what I see. @_@ The second day is usually allotted to either finishing up what I didn't complete, or editing after have let the post ferment for a bit.

I think this is why I've hardly ever made more than two characters at once. If I did, my entire life would take place in front of the computer! XD

The time I actually spend writing? Around 10-15 minutes for every 500 words. The time I spend procrastinating? Hours. I'm very talented at getting distracted by something half way through a sentence.

It takes me anywhere from 10-30 minutes to write a post, but how long do I take to reply?

Oh god. It depends on if I'm busy or bored or not interested in the roleplay or have too much going on.

If I really like a thread, I'll typically reply instantly or within a few days.
If I'm kinda in a slump it'll take me up to a week to reply.

If I respond to you once a month, it means I probably am either swamped with posts or not that interested in the thread.

I have taken over a year to reply to the thread, but the player wasn't expecting a reply, I just tried to revive something we'd both kind of abandoned.

If I only have to respond to someone else, I can have it done in all of thirty minutes once I get started. If I have two of my own characters talking in the post, let alone actually doing anything, it can take far, far longer.

Hour to days. Depends on my life at the moment. I might have read it immediately, but I might be at work or with family or doing social things. If I have tons of free time and inspiration, I will try to post immediately. So it's within the hour depending on the length.

I never like to bite off more than I can chew, so I only post in 3 threads at most at one time. So I usually take a few days at most to reply.

Entire threads depend on my muse.

I'm around the half hour mark if I'm online as the post is made and see it right away, and then another five minutes or so before I'm done editing it. (I have an awful habit of forgetting words. >>)

It really really depends on the game, on the post I'm replying to, on the nature of the writing. It's so hard to determine an actual posting time for me. I type really fast (my gaming friends have dubbed me Quicksilver after one of the Marvel characters I'm known for playing all across the boards), but it's actually very subjective. In some games I will take from 15 to 20 minutes because the posts will have to be more elaborate, feature more internal character description and all that. In some, it will take me literally 5 minutes.

So it's very subjective, really. I've just made a big post in a game that took me 30 minutes because it was filled with a lot of heavy emotional stuff and character references that I had to actually do research on real comics about. Others come in less than five. I type 120 words per minute, so... it's easier to be faster than others. I've seen people in games I play that actually took a full hour to write one post though :D

It depends on how many threads I need to respond to, how much time I have to reply to each one and how much energy that I have. But when I'm on a roll, I can crank out 28+ posts within an hour and a half with each one being at least 400-500 words or more depending on what I am replying to. I took speed typing in high school so I tend to type very fast which can shock and at times aggravate other players. *LOL*

How long it takes me to get around to starting a post varies depending on...a lot of things, but once I actually get to work, it's typically hours. I get distracted really easily (legitimate ADD is frustrating and not fun!), have problems concentrating, and frequently get stuck on words or sentences - sometimes for days at a time.

Point proven: I stopped writing there for at least a half hour >>

Anyway, between inability to focus and constantly second-guessing what I'm writing, my posts come out slow. I do write longish posts, though? I absolutely won't send anything that's under 400 words except under special circumstances, and 600+ words is closer to my average.

Depends. If I love the thread, I have written about 500 words in ten minutes. If I'm bored it can take forever to write an awful post. (No I am not tying that to word count. I just wanted to boast about HOW FAST I CAN TYPE.) :D

I have a friend who writes the BEST POSTS IN THE WORLD but he writes like ... one post per hour. And its chill and I don't mind waiting for his replies, ever.

It kind of fluctuates, depending on the thread and the post. Sometimes I get a post and it sends me into hyper-typing mode, and it takes about ten minutes to write up my response. Other times, I sit down to start a reply, and four hours later, I'm half a paragraph in and nowhere near finishing it. And probably playing plant vs. zombie or something. >.> On average, though, I'd say it takes me somewhere between 30 and 45 minutes, mostly because I'm so easily distracted, and also because I tend to get hung up on a single sentence or develop a sudden obsession with rhythm and feel the need to rewrite everything...

Ahhhh this makes me feel so much better! I thought I was the only one here like this XD I do the exact same thing, though! My mind wanders, or I freeze on one sentence, or one word, or whatever, and suddenly it's hours later and I realize I've made no progress. I'm so glad it's not just me.

I am generally Speedy McGee, as you put it haha. I only have a few muses, three active at the moment, but a couple more linger in my head, and they are all chatty, some more than others. I've done reasonably sized posts (500 or so words) in as little as 7-10 minutes. Sometimes, though, depending on the content and the character, I've taken up to half an hour on a single post that didn't go beyond 550 words. When people want an estimate of how long it might take for a post, though, I usually say max 15 minutes. xD I am pretty speedy hehe.

It's very rare for me to have a reply done in under an hour. Generally I have to find the right replying music and figure out just how distracted I can get. Usually, it takes between two hours to two days.

Okay, I'm the worst person I know when it comes to responding. I take my time with my writing and make sure it's up to my own standards. My posts can reach two thousand words and can take up to six hours to write. I'm a huge perfectionist when it comes to my writing. If I'm trying to slam one out for a friend, it can take up to an hour. When I do rapid-fire rps, however, it only takes me about eight minutes, tops. I can write a loose paragraph fast, it's the thought I put into it that drags me down.

Slowpoke in the house: it takes me about thirty minutes to an hour to write a post, but it can take me an hour to days to even weeks to actually reply. I aim for 1 post every 3-5 days, but the busier I get the more that fluctuates.

Depending on how long the post is and how distracted I am it takes me about 30 minutes.
