This guy was a pain the butt to write, but oh, he was a colorful one...

    Name: Damian Tomas Reyes
    Age: 44
    Birthday: November 12
    Height: 6'
    Eye Color: Brown
    Hair Color: Brown
    Body Type: Solid, muscular
    Job: Government executioner
    Play-by: Javier Bardem

    Personality:
Firm in his beliefs, Damian is as steadfast as they come. He believes that the government is right, and while he does know it's fallible, he would rather live with honor and suck it up than die a traitor. He also has a scary fascination with holding a life in his hands, and, coupled with his sadism and deep craving for power, is probably why he ended up as an executioner rather than, say, a doctor.

Although his views on the government are acceptable, it's his perspective on society that's rather skewed. In his eyes, if you're caught or suspected of something, you're automatically guilty until proven innocent. Most times, he'd rather not wait for a not guilty verdict. Stemming from this is his need to judge everyone, especially those that walk through his door. He thinks that if you're stupid enough to try and undermine the government's total authority, then you deserve your death. Thankfully, the law prevents him from stepping out of line, and he has no political say-so, or there would likely be a lot more people stepping into his 'office'.

Once you subtract the law from the man, you still have to deal with the workaholic. He's very focused, and when he's working intently on something, if you're a woman or someone he doesn't work with or has no authority, there's a very high chance he's going to pretend you don't exist until he's done with whatever task he's engrossed in. If that doesn't work, he may very well turn into Mr. Hyde, which really, is not that hard to do.

Now, remove that layer, and you may find he's not that different from your average male chauvinist that supports the draft. He takes pleasure in the simple things - a quiet dinner, a non-alcoholic beer, classical music, sex with a beautiful woman, and his daughter. (Erm, takes pleasure in spending time with his daughter, not also having sex with her... eww.) That's not to say that if his wife were to give him all those things, that he would love her, no indeed-y; Damian does not believe in romantic love, and he will argue with anyone that thinks they've found it until he's blue in the face. However, keep him satisfied with the simple things, and he's more likely to relax, though that doesn't necessarily mean he'll change his stubborn ways and opinions.

Emotionally-speaking, Damian is an enigma. The person he shows is not necessarily the person he is, but he'd be damned if he let anyone see his fears, his sympathies, pretty much any humanizing quality; his daughter - and any future children - would likely be the exception(s). He may never romantically love anyone, but he does occasionally feel unconditional love, though so far, that's only ever been with his immediate family.

On that note, he has never loved - unconditionally or romantically - either of his wives, or, if he ever did, he erased it from his memory the moment he learned they were traitors. In that way, he's also very unforgiving.

    History:
To say Damian had an average childhood would be the understatement of the century. His father before him was also on the government payroll, as someone that scoured publication after publication for anything that remotely resembled anti-government sentiment. The time he spent with his father - what little time that was - molded him into the soldier-in-spirit he is today; he, too, was of the opinion that defiance and rebellion was not only pointless, but unbelievably stupid. Of course, his father was also unbelievably stupid in that he thought he might have some form of partial immunity, and in the end, he himself was executed for redistributing some of the confiscated publications (though this was not until Damian's twenties).

His mother, bless her heart, had three children by the time she turned fourty, and loved every minute of being a wife and mother, which is something Damian would readily admit he never understood until he had a child of his own. It is likely due to the fact that there was an overabundance of motherly love that he tends to lose interest in a woman who showers him with affection instead of just giving him what he needs.

His parents existed side by side in the content life that is absolutely average (in his mind), though both have since passed on - his father from a heart attack, his mother of natural causes - or so he heard, as he had not seen her much since his first marriage when he was 25. He does occasionally see his siblings, Amalfio and Elena, both older, around town sometimes, though he can hardly say their relationship - blood or not - hardly amounts to the status of a casual acquaintance, considering his sister was already at school by the time he was born and his brother was already eighteen at that point.

His own marriage experience has... well, it's been interesting, to say the least, or it is to him. Now that both marriages are defunct, he's of the opinion those responsible for drafting have played a cruel joke on him. His first wife, a redhead with what he would describe as the 'body of an angel', was found to be having an affair with a man with 'eyes like the devil', he says. It was most shocking when she wound up being escorted into his office that fateful day, and she even had the audacity to tell him she never regretted the affair for a milisecond. It nearly scared him that he enjoyed pricking her with the needle with a sick and twisted satisfaction.

His second marriage, Damian would describe as being the closest thing to happiness he could achieve. A voluptuous woman, short of stature, with raven hair, and a spirit he very nearly admired, kept his bed warm, his belly full and granted him Zandra. They were content, for the first eight years of marriage, after which, Zandra went to school, and his wife decided to occupy her time by allying herself with a group of rebels. Deeply troubled and saddened by this, it was with a heavy heart that he gave her the lethal injection. He would never and will never forgive her, but he also will never forget her.

Shortly after that last marital disaster, he became an even harder man, if that could be imagined. The traitors he read about in the papers that came through his door, he executed with relish, the women even moreso, because he knew that whatever they had done, what he had to give was nothing less than they deserved. The children, however, he was always reluctant to inject, mostly because he was praying his own would not wind up in that seat. It's done a number on his mental stability, though one would have to have a good, long, hard look at him on a daily basis, and in private, to see that, as he works consistently to only show the person he's made himself publicly be (if that makes sense).

Damian would say, rather automatically, that he would be just fine never getting married again, though truthfully, he would say that moreso because he worries about what he might do to her.

    Preferences for Drafting Purposes

    Eye Color(s): Any

    • Hair Color(s): Black, red
Things a Bride Should Know About Her Husband

Favorite Colors: Navy blue, crimson, white
    Allergies: Bullsh*t
Favorite Scents: musks (for him); any scent that's baking-related - apple cinnamon, banana nut bread, cookies (for the home); floral or vanilla (for a woman)
Sexual Fantasies: Any fantasy in which he is in charge
Fetishes: he likes handcuffs or scarves (always on her) once in a while, but he's not into anything terribly kinky or strange
What They Find Sexy: pearls and heels, silky robes and heels, when the woman knows exactly which buttons to push, skimpy and lacy undergarments, long hair, meat on the bones
Anything else you deem important?: Damian's pretty aggressive in the sack (and pretty much anywhere else), so he hopes whoever he gets drafted to isn't some delicate little thing whose body or spirit can be easily broken

    • Favorite Foods: Paella, steak, baked or mashed potatoes, turkey and gouda on whole wheat, baked apples with raisins, banana nut bread, oatmeal raisin cookies
    Draft Position: For
Explanation: Because he is the kind of guy that takes the government and his job seriously, he would much rather his wife be chosen for him. He also doesn't think any woman would choose him by her own free will, and it doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest if she is unwilling. The government says it's your civic duty, and he's going to uphold that until he's dead. Ironically, he's starting to think the government just gives him wives as a punishment to the women, considering both of his previous wives were executed by his own injection.
