SHIMMERING VISIONS IN THE LIGHT OF THE DANCING FLAME

THE GIFT. For them at the time, it looked like nothing more than new coolant packs for the the Thermonuclear generators. In reality? It was energy-dispersed genetic modifiers, specifically created to forcefully-- and instantly-- evolve all humans to equal the playing field between human and the super humans-- the evolved. If they could not stop the evolved, then they would join them. But It backfired. Half of the entire human population was killed in the instant of disbursement. A fourth became little more than super powered monsters of myth. Only a one forth of the human population had the desired results. The Evolved were left genetically unaffected. The populations of the world suddenly and violently revolted in ways that had previous never been seen. By the year 2025, war had ravaged the entire world, as had the thermonuclear generators. The oceans receded, the climates shifted, and cities that had once been prosperous fell into nothing more than dust. Only one city remained-- the city that had been protected by the now mysterious Toltec. Our world is this world. The year is 2100 and nothing is the same. The Gifted rule Rio De Janeiro with an unyielding rule, forcing human children to take the gift in order to recieve their place in society. The evolved are reduced to criminals and to ruin-- or are utilized by the city in tasks suiting to their powe rsets. The Gifted are controlled through water supplies and distributed suppressants-- all against their knowledge. Outside the city Rebellion grows. The cursed-- those who were mutated beyond humanity by the gift-- live below ground in the remains of the metro rail system, clinging onto life and control in the only ways they can.

With a friendly staff and a quirky but welcoming member base, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination and as diverse as the apocalypse could possibly be.. So- face the end of the world and delve into the future. Because no one can be sure just where this is going to go.

Other Notes: We're just opening, and are gearing to be extremely member driven. So-- in all, we're providing the world, the setting of the world, and some general outlines of what roles are what, but beyond that.. it's all about collaboration.

here's my freebie within the month bump! The game is now started, but is still open to some of the world building fun. We've got a good range of characters so that everyone can start up with something to do for sure.

We've just started our first real site wide plot that revolves around the first big secret that our company and government is working on. It'll affect the site as a whole and change the lives of many of our characters. Some will become outlaws, others will gain status.

Everything is going strong, and we're starting to get the wasteland groups established. We're working on updating factions and information.

A few characters are already switching sides-- by choice or by force.

we're wrapping up the first rebellion attack on the government to break free various utilized. It is all going very well and should be done within the week!

For the holidays, Toltec is hosting a Charity Gala for the underprivileged in the Slums. Various utilized are picked from the ranks and brought to the party as dates and companions in order to exemplify the kindness that the gifted have bestowed upon the evolved. However, a few guests aren't exactly supposed to be there.
