Welcome to the skindex! This service of RPG-D is fully provided by our members. Skins are submitted by roleplayers for RPG forums and blogs, so we hope that you guys will help us out with filling out our skin index! We love to see skins from all types of software to be posted here. Naturally this may include web hosts that we don't specifically list, we have all the web hosts we could think of posted, but if you have one we haven't posted please post in this thread to let us know! Don't be afraid to post a new web host or software we don't list, we will be happy to make a new category for you.

Currently we have the new skindex organized by whether the skin is forum-based or blog-based, then further into all of the popular web hosts and software we could think of.

To submit a skin, please use the form posted below and then post a new topic in this forum. The topic will be checked by a support staff member and moved to the appropriate forum. Be sure to follow the guidelines posted here below and remember to provide us with a screenshot of your skin, more about that is found below in the topic.

Some Guidelines on submitting:
• All skins that are submitted must have a working preview.
• When submitting a skin, add the colour scheme in your Topic Description.
• Please provide us with a 350px wide and 250px high image, this will go into the skindex. You can find below how to make a screenshot!
• At the custom notes please put down if people are allowed to edit the skin, yes or no, and with or without permission.
• Please add a copyright to the skin with your name and linking back to RPGD, this way we'll get more traffic back to RPG-D, your skins, and the directory! [So for instance 'Skinned by 'name here' of the RPG-Directory.']
• Please provide the coding in order of 'header', 'footer' and 'css', wrapped in code tags.
• Skins that have unresolved problems will be archived after a week. You may pm an admin to have it placed back in the Skindex to edit.
• Well that's all I suppose! Have fun!
Form for submitting skins

Code: Select
Name of Skin:
Skin Maker:
Forum Software: IPB, Proboards, Zetaboards, SMF, phpbb etc
Color Scheme: light, dark, mixed, themed
Custom notes: please put whether people are allowed to edit your skin

Live Preview: link to your skin's test board
Screen Shot: See below this form for instructions
Graphics?: can put a download link here or request them to be made by others
Codes: provide in order of header, footer, CSS in code tags

How to make a screen shot:
• Step 1.) Bring the skin up in your browser and minimize all other windows.
• Step 2.) Take the shot! This will capture everything that is currently on the screen in front of you.
For Windows 7 Users,

• Press Prt Scrn.
For Windows Vista Users,

• Hold the fn key. (This key means 'function') Then Press insert (prt scr) at the same time.
For Windows Users,

• Hold the ctrl key. (This key means 'control') Then Press insert (prt scr) at the same time.
For Mac Users,

• Apple (Command) Key + Shift + 3 Captures the entire desktop to a file on the desktop as 'picture #' . This option lets you capture the whole screen.
NOTE: It helps some people making screenshots to try using View > Zoom Out once or twice. This will ensure that you can fit the entire skin within the 350x250px image rather than half or one corner but this is strictly up to you. rb_special01.gif

Step 3.) Open your graphics program and paste it (ctrl+v). Then crop and resize until you have a 350 px wide image. Save as .png. If you have the option (Like in Photoshop) 'save for web and devices'. If not, just save it like normal.

-- Note: If you do not have a graphics program that's okay! Just save the entire screenshot in paint and one of our staff will crop and resize the image for you. So just paste it in paint and save it.

Step 4.) Upload the image to photobucket.com, tinypic.com, or some other graphics host.

Step 5.) Post it in your form!

-- Note: If you looked at these instructions and were completely lost, please view Lorreign's Documentation or simply write that in the form and a staff member will take the screenshot for you. It will just take longer to process your skin if staff has to make the shot. Thank you!

Some Guidelines on Using Skins:
• Always PM a skinner to clear any changes to the skin, unless they state you have the rights to make edits in their thread.
• You may link to your board to show the maker that you are using their work but don't abuse this.
• ALWAYS leave their copyrights intact!
• Coding questions should NOT be asked in a skin thread. You can let them know of a glitch to be nice but be polite about it. Rudeness is not tolerated. If you have a probelm with the skin post your issue in Help Me! and then PM the skin maker politely, directing them to your thread. Keep in mind that they are busy people and don't check RPG-D all the time.

NOTICE!: As of today, we ask that your screenshots which you submit to your site should be 350px in width and 250px in height: this is to help us speed things along with submitting to the skindex. :]
