- Favourite Genre:
- I'm willing to try a little bit of everything, though I guess my favourite would be fantasy/sci-fi.
- Roleplay Experience:
- Been roleplaying since I was about 15 years old, so about 10 years now. Stuck to HP sites until about 2-3 years ago then branched out into more original stuff.
- Staffing Experience:
-
Admin of Interitus.
Admin of The Road North
Writing Manager for RPG-D.
I've staffed on about 5 or 6 sites before now.
- How did you get into roleplay?:
- Oh wow, that's a long ago story. I was obsessed with HP and joined a discussion board. From there, a friend set up an RP and I joined wondering what it was all about, and well, everything blossomed from there.
- How did you find RPG-D?:
- I have absolutely no idea! Seriously, not a clue, cannot remember. All I know is I found you, and now I'm happy!
For a while now, I've been wondering why some members have this interesting paragraph about themselves on their profile page, where mine is a load of stats. Well, finally I found it. This is a lot like me in most respects, actually. I take a while to get places, but when I do, gosh darn it I try my best to make it awesome!
As you can probably guess from the name and the little member title, and all the times I mention it, my name is Chele. (Shell, not Chilli, Chelay, or Keyle - I've had all three at one time or another.) It's a shortening of my real name, which is Michele - why the one L instead of two you ask, are you French? Well, no, I'm not. My parents were just evil.
I've been hanging around the 'D for just over 3 years now, in which time I've been on 8 RP boards. I'm now only on one, and I admin that one. I've actually been RPing for just over 10 years, but I was a bit late in discovering the 'D - again, see, late, but trying to be awesome.
In real life, I am English and live in London. I am a Residence Assistant for UCL, so most of my day is spent telling off students for various things (mostly for interrupting my posting on Interitus when they come to ask a question.
)
I'm currently working on 4 novels and a number of short stories. I get really strong muse for things and have to go for it, even if I'm already working on something else. I've kind of quelled it on the RP side of things, but it's spilled over into original fiction, which is worrying. I'm slowly getting there though, learning to write ideas down to stop the muse spilling out while I work on a story. I'll actually be opening a website with some of my original stuff, and will hopefully be selling at least one novel on Amazon in 2012, so keep your eyes open if you're interested.
One other thing you should know about me, I love Cheese jokes. Not just 'oh my god, that was so cheesy' (though I love those too, bad jokes are awesome) but actual cheese jokes! 'What cheese do you use to hide a horse? Marscarpone!' 'What cheese do you use to coax a bear down from a mountain? Camembert!' There are more, and I think they're awesome.
I also love Eddie Izzard, the man is a comic genius. I love him so much that I always find myself giggling to myself because a quote comes into my head from Eddie that completely fits what I'm doing. I love Kiefer Sutherland too, and not just in a 'I love Jack Bauer' kind of way, though I do love Jack Bauer, but in the 'I think you're a decent human being' kind of way. The fact that he asked for more time in prison if he could put off his sentence so that it didn't interfere with filming 24, because it was his mistake and he didn't want it screwing up the lives of the rest of the cast and crew, and therefore spent Christmas and his birthday in Prison serving food in the canteen, I think is awesome when you compare it to other celebs who cry and freak out and get released after 24 hours. Oh yeah, and Eddie Izzard ran 43 marathons in 51 days for Charity. Yeah, decent human beings who do great things to entertain. Those are the people I like. I can't stand people like Jordan and Paris Hilton who do nothing and are still famous, and I really don't care who they're dating. Do something useful, then I might like you.
Wow, yeah, another thing you might like to know about me... I ramble. A lot!Interact
