Fireworks?

Okay, to all my non-graphically challenge. Do you guys yous Fireworks? And what do you use it for?

When I first started making graphics, I started on Fireworks because it was free to install and my brother suggested it. I used it the same way I use Photoshop... to make sigs and avatars and stuff. I also knew how to make animations, which is something I can't do in Photoshop. I kinda miss that. x.x

you can make animations in photoshop. open the animation window.

i made this really cool tie dye image once...i lost it....and i can't remember how i did it...but it was cool lol

i use fireworks. <3 i love it. i use it instead of photoshop or whatever because i really can't be bothered learning an all new user interface. i just think fireworks is a lot simpler - and it runs a lot faster for me. it doesn't take as long to load up and even if you accidentally did something huge like change your image width to 3600px instead of 360px (not that i've ever done this. <<) then it might lag for a minute, but it doesn't crash still. xD

with fireworks you can just save it and then all of the layers are saved in the image, and you can still upload that image onto tinypic and whatnot. but i always export mine as png32 graphics, because they take up less room and load faster. [:

but ALL of my graphics have ALWAYS been in fireworks. i think there's too much on photoshop. too much that i'll never use. there might not be that selective colouring thing or any of that -193 -340 -394023 -39408324 -34 whatever that seems to be in /every/ tutorial, but once you get used to it you could easily have alternatives to any photoshop-specific sections in a tutorial.
