We are enforcing the 'admins must vote' rule, so if you've got a board participating - make sure you vote. Nothing worse than having your win taken away!

Sanctuary

Sanctuary is an intermediate-to-advanced game with an R rating and an original plot. Our emphasis is on quality of writing, not quantity, and most importantly a happy, tightly-knit community of friends. We're untrendy and proud of it - no coded plotting pages here. Sanctuary has been going strong for ten months and will see many more!

To Be Pure Again

To be Pure Again is an Avatar the Last Airbender forum that has been running steadily since February. Our plot is just starting to get well under way, and there are a lot of openings for new members to create a character, canon or original, and jump right in, and immerse themselves in the story we are weaving.

Hogwarts: Old School

Hogwarts: Old School is a post-canon Harry Potter roleplay that aims to dump a lot of the trends and restrictions in forum roleplay, and return members to the fun of roleplaying. We also allow members to join and be part of the community without roleplaying. We have a number of custom features, such as dice-based Quidditch, shop with prizes, and our subaccount mod, which allows you to switch alts in your post.

Warrior Cats the RPG

Warrior Cats the RPG is an AU/OC-only Warriors roleplay based off the first series of Warriors books, and taking off loosely from there. We welcome all levels and have no word minimum. Currently the dominant plots involve turmoil in Riverclan and attacks by rogues on more than one clan; Thunderclan and Sunclan {fan clan} continue to be at war.

Sand In The Rum

Under the reign of King George I, prosperous colonies of the Caribbean are being terrorized by ruthless pirates. These infamous scallywags have destroyed entire port cities to acquire goods, gold, and provisions. One of the few towns not ravaged by these vicious sea dogs is Kingston, a lovely little port town on the island of Jamaica. However, time is running out for Governor Cornwall and his men as they try to fortify the city against an eminent pirate attack.

A post apocalyptic power RP set 7 years after the 2012 apocalypse. A Vault was made in Nov. 2012 to keep people who could afford it safe, only these people gained powers. Now, they re-emerge, and fight for the control over the city. It's a struggle between powers and powers. Who will win?

Années Folles

Années Folles is a Multi-Fandom board, set in a city somewhere in North America, in a year somewhere between 1920 and 1928. Play virtually any human or humanesque character here, canon or original, and see how they fare living side by side in an apartment complex!

Star Wars: Darkness and Light

Star Wars: Darkness and Light is an RPG set in the Star Wars canon universe. It takes place in the middle of the terrible New Sith Wars, in which an old enemy returns and threatens to topple the Republic. We've only just gotten started, but we've got a wealth of activity and an assortment of extremely interesting characters and compelling plots.

TAPS

TAPS is a literate role play, set around the base of investigating the paranormal and anomolies. We are a present day site too. However, the thing that sets TAPS apart from other role plays like us is that we are based on the Ghost Hunters documentary, allowing other teams (like GHI and GAC fro example) into our base. Another thing that sets us apart is that our drama is kept high, but only in character. We do, though, focus on quality not quantity and the friendship and bonds that our members are making as we role play the game out.

LETTERS FROM NO ONE

Since the demise of Lord Voldemort, the Wizard world is at peace and is flourishing. There is no threat of any sort of danger unless you count getting caught by the caretaker out of your dorm after hours or doing what you shouldn't be. Doesn't mean you can't try your luck.

Although the rest of the magical community is calm you can always count on chaos and drama inside the castle walls. The students currently studying at Hogwarts are a drama filled bunch. School work seems to come second to friendship, love, hate and over all drama.

Moonlight Destiny

Moonlight Destiny is a Sailor Moon RP set after the last series. Chaos has returned and Neo Queen Serenity is forced to send Chibi-Usa back in time to warn the Senshi, and to tell them they can't win this time without help. They must create a new team, the Chibi Senshi. The race begins to find the girls, before Chaos and her generals find the Sailor Senshi, because this time it's personal, and Chaos is out for revenge.

Tallygarunga Academy of Magic

We've got our own brand of awesome. From charming professors to fall in love with their own chalkboards, to cursing angry students to tapdance - you'll find it all at Tallygarunga. So, we're not the most prominent of magical schools. This ain't no castle, because this ain't no Hogwarts! If you're looking for coffee and cake in the common room, you won't find it here. This isn't a school for the rich, the pureblooded, this isn't a school for snobs. This is a school for real people... and other miscellaneous species. Yeah, this certainly ain't Hogwarts, mate.

Carson Hills High

Carson Hills High is a High School RPG. We take place in the present time and accept both originals and canons. We've been open for nearly a year now and have quite a wide variety of both characters and members. Each year, students 'progress', as they would with actual schools. Not only do we accept students of the normal high school grades (9-12), but we also accept teachers, students from the rival school (Parkview), graduates, and drop-outs. It's a fun, relaxed environment with a great group of roleplayers.

Perfect World

Perfect World is an urban fantasy roleplay set in present-day Tokyo, inspired by Watase Yuu's Fushigi Yuugi (the Mysterious Play), with additional inspiration from themes found in the Dresden Files, Darker Than Black, Supernatural, and other such media. The walls between the worlds have thinned, making magic and demons commonplace; people must deal with the mundane and the supernatural with equal seriousness and aplomb.

I think I will have to go with Années Folles for being quite unique.

Really had a hard time deciding between that, Sanctuary, and Tally!

In case anyone wants to know, I judge first by whether or not I have to squint to read the rules, then by positivity in rules, activity, and overall site cohesion.
