You're my Lobster

CSS CHALLENGE #22

CHALLENGE SUMMARY

user posted image

February is the month of love the world over and this year I would like to celebrate the quirkier, more relaxed side of love. Not everyone is a Cassanova, but people don't need to be when they find the person they connect with. Friends is a good example with one of the best, quirkiest descriptions of finding romance in television history: You're my Lobster. For this challenge, embrace the quirkier side. The skin you design needs to be light based, and the colors clearly valentines inspired, but try and use non-traditional love symbols. Other than that, the design of the skin is open!

THE RULES
  1. This challenge starts once this message is posted.
  2. You must be listed in the Directory and/or Skindex to enter.
  3. All submitted skins should be made the default skin for easy viewing on your board or a test board.
  4. To participate, simply PM me (using the form below) with the title CSS #22.
  5. We will only accept one site per skin, and you must be the creator of said skin and a staff member on the submitted site if the skin is not in the skindex.
  6. Skins for this challenge have to be light and have to fit the theme.

WINNINGS!
  1. Your winning entry and site will be featured on the 'Technical Challenges' forum description.
  2. You may display a CSS badge on your site - post coming but codes will still be handed out to winners.
  3. Your site's affiliate button will be featured in my sig for two weeks!
  4. You'll win Technical Challenger badges, yay!

CLOSES FEBRUARY 19TH

ENTRIES POSTED AFTER CLOSING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!

Could you clarify on what being listed in the Directory / Skindex means? Is this a site entry or a skin entry?? Like... Does the skin need to be used on a forum to enter, or can I create a skin solely for the purpose of this challenge?

Sorry in advance if I should have sent a PM instead, but I thought I might not be the only one who was wondering. Thanks!

There are two ways you can qualify to enter and you only need to meet one set of criteria.

Way no1:
- You need to be staff of that site that you would like to enter
- The site needs to be showcasing the skin for the duration of the challenge and voting, and
- That site needs to be listed in the Main Directory

or

Way no2:
- The skin needs to be available as the default on a test board, and
- The skin has to be listed in the Skindex and be approved
BUT you do not have to be staff of the site you would like to enter for.

To answer the questions you posted:
- This is a skin competition to win advertising space for a site you love, either as staff who skin or as players who skin.
- Either the site has to be listed and approved in the Main Directory or the skin needs to be approved to the Skindex, but not both.
- If you have a skin that fits this challenge on your board already then you can just enter it or you can make one just for the purposes of this challenge or if you have one already in the skindex that fits you can enter that. Entries do not need to be fresh creations.

I hope that helps explain it a little more.

Perfect!! I was pretty sure that's what it meant but I wanted to make sure before I actually spent a lot of time working on it. <3 Thank you so much for getting back so quickly about this, and for the additional information. Definitely clarified everything right up. ^_^
