Title: Kidnap Me?

TheFatPoo - July 17, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
Your Name: Katie [KT]
Your Age: 24
Offered Position: Co-Admin / Mod
Experience: 12 years experiences with role-playing and administration -- Admin of thirteen forum [currently only eight are open] -- Graphics creation is average [nothing special] -- HTML and CSS coding experience [again, nothing special] -- Loves advertising! [I'm odd]
Custom Notes
  • invision forums only please [proboards and ezboard do not get along with my computer]
  • non-canon sites only! sorry, but I don't like playing someone else's creation
  • magical influenced role-plays prefer [real-life is too dull] -- ex. Harry Potter, Creatures of the Night, Mutants [no x-men] *no all animal role-plays please*
Yea, I got bored with my own creations and thought to work someone else's muse to convince my own to return. I'm a hard worker and I won't give up on anyone unless they ask me too so getting rid of me may be difficult. ^_~

Someone want to steal me?

prices to pay. - July 17, 2007 09:10 PM (GMT)

Would you be interested in this Potter site? It's yet to be made, so there's obviously a ton of work to be done, but I'd love to have you. Nothing's canon except the Creevey and Malfoy last name, the other characters will be completely original.

QUOTE

In the year 3000, the English wizarding world is practically extinct. Driven to low numbers with the war between the Order and Death Eaters in the late 1990's, those that remained when the war was over were never the same. Harry Potter had lost the war. Their hero had let them down and it didn't take long for Voldemort to corrupt society. Days passed with innocent people murdered for the Dark Lord's pleasure and less and less students attended Hogwarts. He constantly created laws that tore apart England and despite desperate attempts of the remaining Order members to seek help from the neighboring countries, nobody wanted to risk their society befalling the same ill fate.

So it was, years passed and nothing changed. A mindless man,a wanna-be Dark Lord blew what remained of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to pieces and nobody bothered to put it back together. The Dark Lord grew insane with power and before he knew what was happening, he'd been assassinated. Still, there was hardly anyone left to bother celebrating and without any natural leader, the wizarding world continued to fall. All of the pure families had fallen, and the half-bloods and muggle-borns were practically unheard of. By the year 2080, there was hardly a wizard or witch left in England.

However, things are always subject to change in wizarding England and it seemed that an unlikely hero would rise to bring back the wizarding world. Colin Creevey, the eldest Creevey brother, had managed to survive the war where his fearless younger brother had not. He'd gone back to life as a muggle in an attempt to escape the danger and had miraculously succeeded. He married and had four children and five generations later, a young boy by the name of Theodore Creevey began showing magical tendencies. As it is, magic runs in families and Theodore seemed to have picked it up.

Anxious to restore power to the wizarding world in which he knew he belonged, he researched day and night until he found yet another who knew of magic living in the area. Frederick Malfoy. The great-great-great-great grandson of Draco Malfoy's cousin, Frederick was a disappointment to the family. Frederick was a squib. Still, he had always had a passion for magic and had learned about the former wizarding world until he could learn no more. Together, the two sought to restore the magic to the wizarding world.

In 3000, at the age of 32, both men have, with the help of some Durmstrang and Beauxbatons graduates, restored Hogwarts very close to its former glory. They kept everything as it once was and even managed to persuade Professor Binns to return. Finally able to gain some help from the neighboring countries, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons have sent over a variety of students to help start off England's new magical beginning. Their numbers are short, but their hearts are not and it is now late August of the year 3000 and England is making a comeback. With Theodore as Minister of Magic and Frederick as the first ever squib to be made Hogwarts headmaster, will the wizarding world be able to return from its low point and rise above the challenge?

If not, that's totally fine. ^^

Fablezzz - July 18, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
PM me if you're interested in a Transformers/Human RP
You sound perfect :) I'm looking for a Co-admin. The site is just starting up.

TheFatPoo - July 19, 2007 05:36 AM (GMT)
Hello darlings,

prices to pay: Considering there are canon names I fear that others will appear [descendants], though I am willing to give it a try if you like. ^_^

Fablesss: I'm not a Transformers fan, rather I don't follow the shows enough to understand them enough that I would be able to role-play one. Sorry luv.

prices to pay. - July 19, 2007 06:39 AM (GMT)

I'm fairly certain I won't be bringing in any other canons, I tend to dislike canons for the fact that people think one character is better than the other because it has the Potter last name, you know?

So if you're willing to give it a go, that'd be great, just drop me a PM saying so and we can go from there. ^^

&&_dusty.bagels - July 20, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
i've been thinking about making a roman and greek mythology site (at the SAME time (happy) ) in present day, on earth. i've been working out the kinks in my mind (sweat) but if you're interested, i'd could use a hand. it's just a thought as of now.

anneliesepl - July 20, 2007 05:48 AM (GMT)
^ that is me btw. i accidentally made another account after i forget about this one. (sweat)

TheFatPoo - July 20, 2007 06:33 AM (GMT)
&&_dusty.bagels -- anneliesepl: I'm not sure how Gods / Goddesses would work in present times for a role-play. Though to be honest I am quite confused. o.o

anneliesepl - July 20, 2007 06:52 PM (GMT)
i copied and paste this from another topic on this board that i'm explaining this in. i hope it helps.

it about all the major gods and goddess from roman AND greek mythology like Zeus and his counterpart Jupiter, Athena, Ceres, Pluto, Hades, etc. You can choose to play a god/dess that is disguised as a human on earth (WITH GOOD REASONS, I’LL EXPLAIN IN THE PLOT), or a mortal who believes in either roman mythology and greek mythology. there's a reason behind why i'm using BOTH forms of mythology.

TheFatPoo - July 20, 2007 06:57 PM (GMT)
I thought the Romans and the Greeks shared the gods and goddesses? If that is true then you will have two of the same characters on the forum. O.o

anneliesepl - July 20, 2007 07:01 PM (GMT)
i already have that worked out in the plot. and they share gods and goddess with different names. like zeus is the god of the sky in greek but jupiter is the god of the sky is roman. the reason they are both there is because mortals have different beliefs like how some humans are Christians and others are Catholics, etc.

but, nevermind. i'll just do it myself.

TheFatPoo - July 20, 2007 07:12 PM (GMT)
As you wish.

bindy.} - July 23, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
you like advertising?
god bless you (lolzzz)
would you like to be an

+crossroads ?? i really
need an advertiser
because personally i can't

buuuut if you enjoy it,
all i can say is if you want
the job you've got it!
please pm me, or i'll
just check back here.
-bindy

TheFatPoo - July 24, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
bindy.}: Hello darling. ^^ Okay, as much as I love advertising I think it best if I did so for the forums that I am a member to; not saying that your forum is not interesting, I just don't like canon based forums. Sorry luv.

bindy.} - July 24, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
that's okay, i totally understand. better luck finding a great board (:

TheFatPoo - September 17, 2007 10:51 PM (GMT)
Seems I'm still available. ^^

lightningteeth - September 22, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
Hey! I don't know if you'd be interested because the concept is rather new, but if you're even slightly familiar with Batman, here's a new spin on the usual DC-universe board because it's purebly villain-centric. Maybe you'd care to take a look at Diagnonsense? It's very new and still needs a lot of work.

TheFatPoo - September 22, 2007 11:49 PM (GMT)
Sorry darling, but I asked for no canon based forums. I don't like playing someone else's creation or interacting with a very known one. ^^

Nda - September 22, 2007 11:56 PM (GMT)
Hey, just the person we need. =] My name is Nda, and I am currently admining a site called carCRASH chemistry. This is a High School roleplay based in rural Minnesota in a tiny town of 10,000 people. We are completely non-canon, and I would appreciate any help I can get with getting this site back up on it's feet. If you're interested, pm or post here. Thanks. =3

TheFatPoo - September 23, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
In truth, I'm not a big fan of high school role-plays, but I'm willing to help out with whatever I can. ^^ Just let me know what I can do for you. ^_^

kLfemme - September 28, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
Darlin', I want to kidnap you, tie you to a desk with a computer and enslave you in my site! Teehee. Anyway, would you be interested in a Harry Potter college? The basic idea is that it's a magical college, following Hogwarts/Beaxbatons/Durmstrang.

angelique_de_pompadour - September 28, 2007 02:12 AM (GMT)
If you're still open, I'd like to kidnap you. How about Red Blood Traces? Of course, we might have canons... let me emphasize might... *unsure*

TheFatPoo - September 28, 2007 02:34 AM (GMT)
kLfemme LOL I've one question...will characters from the book be involved or is it all made up ones?

angelique_de_pompadour You know I love my night creatures. ^_~ Let me know what you need. ^^

kLfemme - September 28, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
That never really occured to me, but there will be if they have a hell of an application, I suppose.

angelique_de_pompadour - September 28, 2007 08:24 PM (GMT)
Anything! Do you want to be administrator, or moderator, or not a permanent staff member? I'll be glad with any help I can get at the moment.

TheFatPoo - September 28, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
kLfemme Okay, I'm not a very big fan of canons due to the fact that I believe someone's own creations should stay to their rightful owners. Plus I haven't read all the books so any new characters from the fourth book on would be confusing to me. O.o

angelique_de_pompadour Your choice. I'll do whatever I can to help build your forum and make it known. ^_~

kLfemme - September 28, 2007 09:55 PM (GMT)
Umm... well at the present time, there are no canons. The other admin and I are in the process of redoing the site at the moment, we're fixing the rules and such. At the present time, the board is offline, so if you're still interested, I'll PM you my YIM screenname and we can talk more on there with the other administrator. I hope that cleared things up.

angelique_de_pompadour - September 29, 2007 02:01 PM (GMT)
Preferably admin, we're really in need of those. But if you're not up to it, tell me. Here, I'll send you the link to the RPG. No skin yet, I just created it.

TheFatPoo - September 30, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
kLfemme I don't feel comfortable with canon characters so I think I"ll hand this over to someone who does. HP is a very popular genre so you're bound to get a lot of applications for members to help. ^_^

angelique_de_pompadour PMed you. ^^

Puppeteer - September 30, 2007 11:35 PM (GMT)
Wow, look at all your replies! I have always been a fan of your forums, and I have seen them a long time. I'm 23, lol, thats a lot of lurking. Anyway... although my forum has canons they aren't book canons, just the Pack leaders and a couple others to get the forum started. Also, the players aren't given anything by a name and situation. One was simply "The Club Owner". At any rate, I am looking for an experienced moderator to help moderate a werewolf rpg that has no character sheets, we are focusing on learning through role play.

If you are interested, you can view the forum here and send a pm or reply. :) If not, good luck finding what you want!

TheFatPoo - October 2, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
Hello darling! Wow, thank you so much. *blushes* Yea, I'm everywhere these days. ^_~

Okay, have to be honest and say I'm a little confused with your forum idea. I'm used to order, rules, and details where as your forum is open to everything. I think my mindset may be too strict and offset to your idea and since I don't want to frighten any of your members away with my ideals I think it best if I left this to someone else. ^^

But thank you so much for considering me. ^^

DamienCOE - October 2, 2007 09:22 AM (GMT)
Heya, I have 3 boards that need help with advertising (and probably other mod duties aswell)

the first is The Beauty of Sin (link at the end of my signature) which is a site based on the sort of darker sides of the lives of the rich and famous. so it's models, actresses, it girls, journalists blah blah and the things like drug addictions, press scandals and all those lovely things that go along with their lifestyle. For that I'm needing an advertising mod who knows what their doing and has some enthusiasm for the job

Second is an old site I used to have called The Magic Begins which is a Harry Potter site based in medieval times when the founders first opened thier doors. It has been closed for a while because I had to leave for health reasons and the rest of the staff never kept it running. So now I'm wanting to get it back to some kind of glory. On this site it's more general mod work with a leaning towards advertising

Last up I have just made this board (it will be evident) called Dead End Street. It has a skin, rules, an app form, the groupings and all that jazz. What it needs is help with getting it going, advertsing, I will be needing graphics of some sort (up to you if you do them or just help me find someone to do it!) and perhaps just some ideas. I know in my head what I'm wanting and at some point over the next 2 days I will have the story up. Basically it's about the music scene of a fictional city. So there is a focus on bands, musicians, gigs, making albums, touring, awards with the local fanzine etc. There might even be room for co-admin on this one if you feel my flow of this site!!

So I hope thats enough of an outline. Whether your interested in one, 2 or all of them (or even none as staff) I hope you check them out ^_^. I'd love to have you on my team!!

*laughs* its not for everyone but thanks for considering us. :) Good luck finding something.

TheFatPoo - October 2, 2007 06:13 PM (GMT)
Puppeteer Thanks darling! ^^

DamienCOE Hello darling, okay your three forums are about some subjects that I am not very associated with. I'm not a follower of any major bands [I listen to J-Pop O.o] and a forum on the life of models / actresses and such is, sorry, boring to me. I wouldn't be able to help there much.

The one centered around the HP verse contains canons and I avoid such forums for my own creative needs. Sorry luv. Though from what I understand you're only in need of an advertiser and on the subject I don't like to advertise for forums that I don't have an active character with.

I'm sorry that I'm not of much help for you.

elizabethhallaway - October 2, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
Hello Fatpoo! :)

I'm in desperate need of a very active person who have experience with running and maintaing a board and roleplaying to serve as co-admins for my new RPG, Grove Academy.

Grove Academy is an all-girl school of witchcraft set in the U.S. that follows the Wizarding World formated out of the Harry Potter series. This board is non-canon, taking place in the present day. Though set in the HP world, it is unique with it's approach and plotline.

In addition to your admin responciblities, you will also be charged with firecely advertising Grove so to attract members. A knowlege of graphics, html, css, invisionfree, and coding would be of great help too.

Here is the school history to apease your curiosity. :)

CODE
Started by witch Annabelle Hallaway on October 14, 1692, Grove Academy is the oldest wizarding school in the United States to focus on the instruction of young women and the development of their witchcraft. Though many hardships, Grove has persevered produced some of the world’s most famous witches.

Hard Beginnings

The tragic events of the Salem Witch Trials forever changed the practice of Witchcraft in the United States. While the male wizards happily went about their daily lives, their craft concealed, witches were being constantly attacked by the muggles. Very many witches of the day were caught and executed, for they refused to reveal themselves or their fellow witches. Many witches, for fear of being found out stopped practicing the craft. As the trials continued, more and more witches abandoned their magic and forced their families to do the same for their own protections.

It was one woman, Annabelle Hallaway, who stood up and made the choice that the next generation must be educated, without fear of being discovered by the muggles. She bought a small building on the outskirts of Amherst, Massachusetts and Grove Academy was born on October 14, 1692. Young girls from all over the colony came to be taught the art of witchcraft by Annabelle and members of her family. Basic anti-muggle charms were placed on the building so as to not attract unwanted attention. When the witch trials finally ended, Annabelle had more than 50 students in her school and gaining more students by the day. It was time for expansion.

The Great Fire

As time went on, the school continued to grow, even without their founder. After a long and dedicated time as Grove’s headmistress, Annabelle died in 1750 at 82. With her death brought another Hallaway, Annabelle’s youngest daughter Sarah, into the esteemed position, having been chosen by Annabelle herself. At 45, Sarah was ready and willing to take the reins and continue her mother’s legacy. However, the school’s survival would be questioned by the escalating violence that would soon lead to America’s fight for independence.

With British muggle soldiers marching in the countryside and burning houses and villages, it became even more essential that the school and its inhabitants stayed secret for fear that their livelihood would be attacked. Despite Sarah’s efforts, the school’s seclusion would not last.

It was on a cold night on November 12, 1777 while everyone slept that the muggles had found the little school in the deep woods and set fire to it, believing it to be a safe haven for the colonial army. The students and teachers escaped without harm but the school was destroyed. The colonies’ magical council, which was started 20 years before, erased the memories of the muggles and set to work rebuilding the esteemed academy. The school was placed in its current location, deep within the woods as to not attract attention. More powerful anti-muggle spells were placed on the place so nothing of this nature would happen again. Grove reopened its doors a year later, to a growth of witches of all kinds and from both sides. By the time America had won the fight for independence, Grove had become the most esteemed of schools.

The Great War

The years that Britain and the world was terrorized by the evil one known throughout the Wizarding World as Lord Voldemort, the United States remained out of the conflict but very worried that it would not be long before the dark lord had made his way to the nation. The amount of his followers on American soil grew to alarming proportions. Finally war came to America on June 1998, when Voldemort’s top man in the states, Ravon Horntail launched a full scale attack on the American Bureau of Magic. For the second time in the school’s history, Grove closed as the school’s council believed it unsafe for their young students.

In the three months that the school was shut down, it became a hideaway for many who escaped from the fighting, and a place where aurors’ wounds were tended to. It was to be there where the final battle in America would take place. After many days and the deaths of many good aurors, Ravon was finally defeated and the Wizarding World was once again at peace. Grove reopened its doors to its students the following school year, full of promise and hope for the future.

Present Day

For the last three-hundred and fifteen years, Grove has stood the test of time. Surviving the wars and conflicts that had plagued Muggle and Wizarding history, Grove has shown the Wizarding world the seriousness it shows with educating the nation’s witches in the art of witchcraft. Now with the instillation of a new Hallaway, Elizabeth Hallaway, into the office of headmistress, only time will tell if the school and its years of tradition will survive into the new milineninum.

Thanks for your time and I hope you can help me. :)

That's alright, I completely understand. Didn't hurt to try, though. Thanks for letting me know something :]
