Title: [S] [S] AIM?

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but I was wondering if you guys knew how to run/role-play an AIM RPG. Most of the ones I've seen on the internet so far have been somewhat... -y. Do you guys have any advice on how to structure an AIM RPG?

Quite frankly, I don't think it's possible. Not only would the "posts" be of horrifying quality and length( ;)), it would also be hard to get members on at the same time. Besides, even if you do, it would be a mega huge thing, with everyone doing their own thing. Basically, I think it's pretty hard to make one work, and even if you do, it would be hard to maintain.
My advice to you would be to go small - just a few members that are able to be on at the same time. Then, just use a chat ^^

Small was what I was AIMing for (lol!). Possily hold just random arena battles in there, or maybe have lots of different channels to RP in, or something.

Ah, but see, you're neglecting the fact that quantity does not equal quality. For example,
"With three powerful strokes, the warrior found himself face to face with the malevolent creature that had slain his kin."
is quite better than
"The dude swam swam swam, and swam more! With three brushes of his little finny fin, the warrior swam out of the cave! Oh my gosh! There was that little runt -- well actually he wasn't very little, he was quite huge -- that had killed his mama and papa!"
Granted no one RPs like that, but you get the idea. =)

In the start of my roleplaying/writing days I used to do AIM roleplays a lot. It's not impossible at all. Just a little hard. What you've got to do is find a good place to advertise, then find a website to host your site information on. Freewebs, Geocities, Angelfire, .tk, and .cjb.net are popular choices. Next, you've got to fatten up your website enough to get all the needed information on there. Think of it as a forum/website sort of thingy. Since you've already checked for some AIM chat room roleplay sites, you probably know what I'm talking about.
Schedule certain RP dates. It's hard to get people on the same time, so you should set up several games on the site. Don't center it all on one game or one group of roleplayers. For example, Medieval/Fantasy Roleplaying on Mondays - 9 to 10 PM at the very least, more if it calls for it. Sci-fi/Mecha Roleplaying on Tuesdays - 7 to 9 PM. Also, note that random roleplays that aren't on the schedule can be started at anytime.
I hope that helps you out. Good luck~! ^_^
