Title: Nanowrimo Soon
Description: for me at least

so i found out about National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, yesterday. i decided almost immediately to do it this year, but ran across a problem. it's in November and all of my school exams are in November. i cannot afford to do it then, at all.
so, i have decided i am going to do it next month. July. four days. im pretty freaked out, especially since i have little time to outline and no idea what im going to do anyway. im hoping it will all come to me =/
so...my point in writing this thread is to ask for support! most of my friends dont understand at all and my parents want me to focus on school, so i need support from somewhere to be able to try and write 50 000 freaking words next month. and also to ask if any of you have done it and if so, what was it like? difficult? hard to stay motivated? did you have lots of support and friends with guns and manacles?

so i know i am both double posting and bumping an old thread, but you gotta give me some leeway here because i have to update!
i finished NaNoWriMo! I got my 50 000 words and now i have a passable book. with almost no support XD im so proud of myself. yeah. if anyone cares this time please congratulate me.

YAY. Weldone. How did you find it? I wanted to this last year when I found out, but like you, I had exams through out that month, I was really dissapointed and had a good plot or I was told it was a good plot, but anyway. I'll be attemting it this year.
So. How did it go? 50,000 is so long, its almost chilling to think how much you have to write. But anyway. I can't wait to have a go. Weldone to you.
Congrats.
Kay.

Wooo! YAY!
Congrats, and I'm incredibly impressed. I'm gonna do some outlining and go for it in November. Scary...
Awesome job. You will be our source of inspiration come November!

yay! thank you both of you. it was very fun and cool.
once i got used to the fact that i had to do 1666 words a day, mischiefkayla, it was actually pretty easy. the second week is definitely the hardest, but once you've gotten over halfway it just goes. it was really stressful and killed my back, but i had NO plot when i went into it and only a couple of half-formed ideas and i turned it into an actual plot. its amazing what actually comes out when you have to write.
i hope you do both do it and youll be awesome ^_^ ill be supporting you!

Wow, congratulations. That's quite an accomplishment.
I remember when I tried NaNoWriMo. I ended up with about 30,000 words. I was surprised that I had that many, though; I was sure that I wouldn't be able to break 20,000.
