Title: W00t For Creativity? ^^

So, as you can see, I made a new set, after being idle for a long time, for which I blame school. Now that school isn’t an issue any more, I thought I’d pick up the other side of education for a moment and that’s – yes, exactly – teaching. So here’s a simple tutorial, so you can make the signature I made. ^^

So we’ll start with the base. It’s a simple blend from one of Avril Lavigne’s newest photoshoots for Blender. I had the name of the sig in my head already, and I had to find a picture that fitted the words. That’s usually how I start my graphics; with an idea.

Okay, now that we have the base, we’ll sharpen that once or twice, or how many times you see fit, and duplicate it. We’re going to put this layer on soft light, 100% opacity.

Then, I used this scratchy texture and put it in screen, 100%.

Now that that’s over with, we’re going to open this texture and choose some nice pictures in it to use as a background. After you’re done dragging it, put it in color burn, 100%. Make sure you wipe the smaller image clean, so you’ll have something like this.

Drag the texture into the canvas again and drag it around, to something that will fit nicely with the other pictures. Make sure you wipe the smaller image clean again. When you’ve done that, set the layer to multiply, 50%.

There. Now, make a new layer and fill it with #0B153B, then set it to exclusion, 100%. Duplicate that layer and set the opacity to 21%. If all went well, it’ll look like this.

Okay, here comes the hard part. Make a new Hue/Saturation layer and set the saturation to +11. Make a new Curves layer and set the input to 111 and the output to 118. Make a new Levels layer and set the input to 38 and the output to 9. The outcome will look like this.

Duplicate the base, drag it to the top and set it to screen, 15%. I used this light texture, but of course you can use your own. Set it to screen, 100%. It’ll look like this now.

Put in some nifty text – #742E05 & linear burn – and you’re done! <33
