Title: Worst Roleplays Ever
Description: Just describe it, no names.

sabyr - June 7, 2007 03:24 PM (GMT)
What is the worst roleplay you have ever seen? Don't link to it or anything or give a name, just describe it for us... like a scary campfire story. *takes out marshmallows*

Here goes mine:

My little sister is VERY new to roleplaying and goes to a certain site based on her favorite book, Warriors. It's about cats and Shadowclans or something. The sad thing is, most members come for the chatroom, and EVERY roleplayer there gives worse than one-sentence posts... They give horribly spelled, grammatically incorrect, occasionally run-on, un-punctuated one sentence posts.

Including the Administrator*shudder*

Maybe I'm just spoiled with decent RPs.

*begins eating his marshmallow*

Whose next?

WereSquid - June 7, 2007 10:27 PM (GMT)
Well, everyone has to start somewhere. When I began I swayed towards one-line posts, too. Quickly I expanded my horizons, but back then (much like now) all I really cared about was having fun.

I try to avoid sites that annoy or horrify me. Still, I have noticed a few around. There was one I saw awhile back: horrible red-on-black layout with mismatched pictures, no attempt to spell check or proofread and a cliché vampire plot that made me cringe. But honestly, if it works for the players then I'm not complaining. What really irked me, though, was that the administrator of this community waltzed around other promotional communities advertising the site as her ‘latest masterpiece’. (x.x)

Oh god, hah!

What do you say to that? Especially since they are probably eleven years-old or something.

WereSquid - June 7, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
Nothing. I usually try to avoid potential flame wars. Considering what she said and how she presented herself really had no impact on me at all, there wasn't much point in making my opinion known.

nik - June 8, 2007 09:47 PM (GMT)
Notoriously bad memory over here... but one does come to mind.
I don't know why I signed up there. She may have been a previous friend from a site. It was SORTOF a harry potter roleplay, in the vaguest of terms.. because mostly it was a very young girl posting details of her and Daniel Radcliffe's wedding..
You know, when good ol Dan was about 13 years old and "the in thing".
To top it off, her signature was about 5 fullsize images of him and spanned 1/4 of the page alone. And they overused glowy writing, because it looks REALLY COOL when you're 12.
I literally don't remember anyone else on that site except a fellow whose moniker was the unfortunate "Gordic Gryffindor". Misspelled book names drive me up a wall.

I did not stay long.

Carey Moffett - June 9, 2007 09:36 AM (GMT)
firstly id like to say that sabyr, your comment about them being 11 year olds was not necessary. its true, younger people are more likely to be inexperienced, having most likely not been in the roleplaying world long, but that does not make every 11 year old the 'noobs' who screw everything up and just suck overall. age has nothing at all to do with a person's opinion of what is good or not, it is simply experience. please dont discriminate the younger players.

that said, id say my worst experience was when i was younger and an inexperienced player, but i still knew how to roleplay properly and definitely knew correct etiquette. i was at a harry potter roleplay site, playing a girl with one blind eye. she was a hufflepuff and walking past the slytherin table. ALL the slytherins began to attack her (with one line posts), swearing at her and being completely predatory and stereotypically slytherin. i added an OOC note to one of my posts about something and the players attacked me in the same way, saying i was stupid and a baby and if i couldnt handle it then i should just piss off. they were all so high and mighty and i was the best roleplayer in the thread. i am pretty sure that site died. good riddance too.

You're right, sorry.

I've actually found guys in their twenties to be much more immature than eight-year-olds I've met. (tongue)

RyanA - June 9, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Sabyr--you're only fifteen. Well, I take back that beer offer in the other thread on long applications. We can just change it to rootbeer. Haha.

Well, the worst RPs I have seen were that dreaded word "advanced".

One was a canon HP set in the time when Harry's parents were young. The whole plot was wrapped around Malfoy's wedding and Potter's wedding. They were posting about real invitations--goofy.

The admins/ mods seem to all hold these central roles. This is always a huge problem with canon RPs for me. The admins seemed extremely angry all the time. They were always posting up these big condescending letters to members about how hard they worked and how the members were not posting and blah blah yadda yadda yadda.

The finally shut down the site, blasting the members for it with one final letter.

The other board, I had actually joined and was playing--of all things- Lily Potter. I wanted Snape but they needed Lily. I figuered, heh, I am versatile. I'll play the Filch's cat if it's a really good roleplay.

Well, this board did look great. Lot of active players and some good prose--even if a bit purple at times-- but then it all fell apart because of a post I made OOC.

There was a thread about Snape and I just mentioned that while I was not sure there was any sort of romance between Lily in Snape, I thought there might have been an academic sort of friendship and that maybe the writing in his potions book was hers and not his mothers.

Well, somehow that caused one admin to tell me off and lock the thread. She posted that it was totally out of canon and she was an expert on all things "Snape".

But why the hell would someone lock a thread for a different opinion in an OOC area. And there wasn't anything flaming in it at all. Nothing. Just an opinion on a bit of lit. It was speculative like everyone's.

Well, one of their other admins(who played James, BTW) posted something saying she thought that that first admin was way out of line. I was shocked. She actually resigned her position and quit the board and I quit as well.

sabyr - June 9, 2007 08:55 PM (GMT)
I'm going to make sure I don't do that!

I play Jack in my RP, but the story does NOT revolve around him. I just like playing Jack. :3

I'm actually going to create a decent roleplay for my sister to show how real RPs areand maybe get her into quality writing instead of the less-than one post stuff.

xJayex - June 18, 2007 03:14 PM (GMT)
I generally avoid roleplays with yes, bad grammar and poor quality of writing, 'cos oh boy will that annoy me! And because I prefer more literate roleplays, I cannot stand those where members make real short posts IC.

I also cannot stand it where sites never seem to go anywhere. The roleplays all seem jammed and bland... without any real drama or action, if you know what I mean.

You can just sort of tell looking at a site what it's going to be like. There are some, with blurry out of focus images and poor quality graphics that I just know I won't like, if y'know what I mean.

SilentGhost - June 18, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
My worst RP? Haha, I had a lot of those. Most of the crud RPs I've done were pretty much around the time in my life when I considered myself a 'gamer'. So let me set up the scenario.

A forum based on video-games. With video-games, comes fanboys, and let me tell you, fanboys LOVE TO RP. Thats cool and all, but the only problem was that they sucked at it.

It seemed like every single member was out to create the greatest mary-sure / god modded character. For those of you who are familiar with video games, let me put this way. Imagine Sonic, Cloud, Sephiroth, Squall, Shadow, Sora, and anyone with a sword, put into one RP, then jacked up on steroid so that none of them could die. Each post basically went like this:

QUOTE
[Fanboy1 posts] '*Sephiroth jump and uses Supernova*'

[Fanboy2 posts] '*Sonic turns super Sonic, and dodges it, then shoots sephiroth in the head with a gun*

[Fanboy 1 posts] '*Sephiroth comes back from the dead and cuts sonic*'

So pretty much, a character dodged a supernova, and another character came back from the dead. Now, here's me, trying to make a reasonable character, but I can't even do that, cause he'd die from a post thats one sentence long.

...Yea, it was baaad. Like the movie Freddy VS Jason.

Solid_Snake13 - June 19, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
The worst RP I've ever played was one that was going all fine and I was happy RP-ing there then all of a sudden the Admin decided to close and delete it, just because he did'nt like how it was going. It had alot of members, active ones too!

Beccie - June 19, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
There was this great one I went on but the person I was RP-ing with just stopped going. It was a pain! And we had a fab storyline too!

Breann - September 15, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
Definately the ones on neopets.
I used to be amazed by the people who wrote more than a post per reply.
Now I'm like Dude, I do that daily =|

emalynn - September 19, 2007 05:24 AM (GMT)
I know what you mean, Breann. I did my first RPing on Neopets and was easily awed by two post replies. Then my writing started to improve and I found I was replying with three to four regularly, which gradually grew into more. If you've ever been on the Neopets RP Boards, you probably know what I mean when I say it is basically the home for one-liner Mary Sues.

There was this one HP board I was on where the description of an original character was this:

QUOTE
Name: Star Luna Riddle
Age: She skipped two grades cause she's so smart
House: Slytherin but she really doesn't belong there cause she's nice
Looks: beautiful
Personality: she's really shy at first but very outspoken once you get to know her. she's tough but also a sweetheart and everybody likes her.

I was just about to leave the board politely, but I stuck around to see where she was going with it. Pretty much, she was the only daughter of Voldemort and was perfect. She hated her dad so she ran away from home when she was seven and went to live with... someone else. I don't remember who, but it made me chuckle. Anyway, being perfect and all, every boy was suppose to fall in love with her. She actually PMd me when my male character wasn't all over her. Said something like "my caractar likes urs so u should have him like her". Whatever. I ignored her. She was a godmodder too, going around saying how Harry, Draco, Ron and Viktor (even though he wasn't even there) were all in love with her.

It was very entertaining. Horrible roleplay, but very entertaining. I soon graduated from the Neopets RP boards. There are some really good roleplyers on there, but they are few and far between. So hurrah for Invisionfree. =]

Sierra - September 19, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
The worst RP board i've ever seen never even got started. :p I let the guy put his RP up on one of my RP boards, but i dont think he knew the first thing about running a site. He had a database for all the stuff that one would see in his RP, and none of the pictures were, uhm, consistent or anything, like they were all different sizes and he hotlinked a lot of stuff (i'm really against hotlinking, considering it takes all of a 2 seconds to get yourself a free photobucket), there were spelling errors all over. I'm glad it never got started.

All in all, i cant ever say i've been on a really bad RP board. I'm happy to say the first RP board i ever joined was very well run, and i'm still on it after 2 and a half years. (which is pretty long for me...i dont usually stay with things that long XD )

captain oats. - September 28, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
the worst roleplays i have ever seen were ones done by (clearly unexperienced) rp-ers, on another board, which is now closed.
these people were clearly there to cause trouble, posting in threads that were tagged, not open.
one of the people had a character that god-modded something awful, the character came into threads and started doing all of these perverted things.
the roleplays were one-liners, monotonous and there wasn't one piece of punctuation in sight.

i know, the person was there to just upset the board and without much care when it came to roleplaying, but still... *shudder*

tehRPaddict - September 29, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
What I hate is people who go into real life school type RPs and make their characters perfect. HUGE pet peeve.

I also hate that people mispell canon names and such and can't even remember small canon differences.

I don't mind shorter posts but a few sentences wouldn't hurt. I like to see some literacy.

I've encountered these problems on the first RP board I ran and I lost interest.

Bananaland - October 10, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
Hmm... I was a noob rper once, so those sites with short posts and stuff are begginner sites usually. Yeah it's hard to reply to short posts, but at one time we all stunk at rping when we first began. Though it's very annoying when you post a four paragraph post and someone 4 years older than you posts a two sentence post when they should be able to at least post two paragraphs.

I know some 13 year olds that can pwn my writing abilities, so it has nothing to do with age. It's just the maturity of the player, and since I know they can post a six paragraph post and a 18-19 year old is only posting in two sentences it ticks me off. I know when I go to a advanced rp site and look around I tend to try and be on par with their writing abilities. So when I see someone satisfied with two sentence posts and they've been rping for years and are old enough to know good grammer I find it annoying.

Also those people who get on your back if you aren't able to post when they wish, which only kills your ability to post sooner because they complain about having to wait a day or two when they left you a post that you can't use because it's too small or wrecks the theme of the thread by talking too much. A.k.a. Fighting thread and someone says. "Why are you fighting?" or some other comment instead of just watching the fight and therefore stops the fight because of it and leaves you in a inability to post because you wrote the thread with a fighting muse and now it's a talking mood which you aren't in. Maybe I'm the only one like that, but I hate when the theme of the thread shifts and your stuck with a dead brain. (x.x)

I think the worst board I was on was one with admins and moderators that were unactive for months and then came back acting like everyone should've still been there even though they deserted the site.

Lexeh - October 10, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
*slinks in*

I actually started rping back on AOL when I was like in fourth grade. Yeah, I didn’t have any friends. *hangs head in shame* Anyway, I thought it was so cool how these people were making these characters and telling this awesome story with them. And it wasn’t even a single story. It was MULTIPULE STORIES! *bounces* can you IMAGINE how in awe my young mind was? I should have had a brain seizure!!

Thank goodness I didn’t or else I wouldn’t be typing this.

But, I was horrible at it. Like, I did a lot of god-modding and my character could not be TOUCHED. And I had one of those stupid vampire/werewolf/elfin/angle/demon characters that was so totally uber awesome that everyone had to hate her. AND, she had a pet dragon. Yeah, I was THAT bad. So, obviously, I too at one point stunk to high-heaven with Rping. I think the worst one that I ever encountered, based on message boards, would have to be a pokemon one. It was “supposedly” advanced, but every other person was posting two sentences or three sentences with horrible punctuation and run on sentences. I joined, just because a friend joined and we posted and the refs wouldn’t even mod us. Their excuse: u post 2 lng 4 me 2 reply.

Eventually, after graduating from AOL chatrooms, I moved onto YIM chatrooms which held much more advanced writers. From watching them pump out 3+ “para” posts, I wanted to do the same and thus became an “advanced” Rper.

Needless to say, I’ve been Rping for like….*thinks* about seven years. *hangs head again in shame*

A huge peeve of mines has to be when the RPer spends hours or days on their application for an RP and then post it, get it accepted, and then leave. *headdesk* What was the point of typing out all of that if you weren’t planning on coming back?! *grumbles*

hahahahaha!
and aaaaaw!

well I just hate those sites that shut down only couple of weeks after they've been opened, or the admin just suddenly leaves not saying anything so the place becomes deserted since the applications should be approved by an admin and all. And there is no other staff than one admin. I've ran into a lot of those. Pisses me off after I've filled up a long application, gotten approved and maybe posted couple of times but then it all becomes pointless.
(and now that we're in the topic: After filling out dozens and dozens...I'm starting to get bored of those long apps....dunno why but especially if they ask the character's weight! I mean...c'mon! Isn't simple description like...slender, plumb [insert more wordy description] enough??? you want NUMBERS???? *snort*)

One is that I hate boards with mary sues. My first charry was very mary-sue. I still RP with her though and now that I've grown a lot as an RPer, visiting dozens of sites and RPing for long, I try to make her less mary-sue and avoid all those qualities in actual posting. So far so good. She's good for bringing drama and serious action lol

Oh oh! And I hate those sites where all the members only wanna RP with the admin! No member-member interaction and posting. Especially if it's some RP with some sort of canons and all want to RP with the popular character or have a relationship with them and that sort of crap. Just leaves things cold.

Inactivity is always a turn-off, of course...

those are my, kind of, worst RP site examples...been through them all.

beta pleated sheet - October 18, 2007 04:15 AM (GMT)
The worst? Probably 80% or more of the stuff on Gaia - so glad I stopped going to that site. True, you'd find the occasional gem, but even those would only last two weeks. Tops. Then there was the wealth of obscenely bad slave RPs, and they all went as follows...

"Lawl, I buyed you, now do me hardcorez!"
*cower in corner* "I dun wanna!"

under the rose - October 19, 2007 02:38 AM (GMT)
Ok the thing I hate the most and makes me wanna throttle all the curtain in the world, yes I'm a curtain throttler (tongue)

WHEN SOMEONE JOINS YOUR SITE JUST TO ADVERTISE WHEN CLEARLY THE ADVERTISEMENT FORUM IS GUEST FRIENDLY

-end rant-

ahhhhh that felt good ... another thing that happened to me was someone joined one of my boards and wanted to play my canon, I informed them I was currently playing that character and they were like "do I care?" or something like that. *le sigh*

other annoying things

-people joining and not posting apps
-people joining and posting really good apps than disappearing
-people who join, don't post an app but don't exactly disappear either. They just lurk around GAH ITS SEEDY!!

ok offical end of rant

emska signing away to redskin land mmmm yum!

jinxed13 - October 20, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
I seem to have the opposite complaint of all of you. My worst site ever was inhumanly picky, and it was the first one I ever joined.

"For everyone" it claimed. "New people are always welcome". New people welcome my foot!

Admin was extremely picky, and basically ended up writing my application in her words. I got shunned by most of the RPers who had been there a while. Everything I said in the C-box, no matter how friendly, started a rant from someone.
Jinx: Hi everyone...

Random Member: What the **** is with the "..."? Why do you have to do that? It's so annoying! My gawd, you are such a n00b.

Yes, with the zeroes, not even the letter. It was pure hell in RP form.

Needless to say, I got out of there fast.

beta pleated sheet - October 20, 2007 02:23 AM (GMT)
n00b looks so much better with zeros than with letters! Just like w00t. woot< w00t

And that was Bettie's Belgian Trappist ale inspired randomness of the day. w00t and n00b should only be said in a manner than mocks the word itself, thus zeros should always be used.

Bringing this back on topic, I have to add to my list fandom RPs that throw all sense of canon out the window. Specifically, when they encourage ships that defy canon. Read: HP marauder slash. Now, slash in general is fine by me, but with some characters I just can't even image how someone would think there was even the remotest possibility they would be gay, and it's obviously "SQUEEE! hawt guys make out!" Okay, so this is more than just HP, but I've seen it there the most. Seriously, thinking that gay men are attractive is one thing, but I liken getting that excessively excited about to straight men who like "lesbian" porn. O_o

I think I wandered off on another tangent. Sorry.

helloemface - October 20, 2007 02:25 AM (GMT)
i started a board and for some reason, it attracted a bunch of people who had no clue about rping. this one kid was obsessed with american idol, so his character's name was "blordin sparks" and it drove me insane. all of the female characters posted like such:

ashley walked in to the room, "lyke, omg, this classroom doen't hav ne prada chairs!!! I CANT STUDY HERE OMG." and she sawe a hawt guy sitting acros the room. "hai sexciii!!!!" they strarted making out, omg.

it was this group of girls and they thought they were so cool because their characters were making out with other characters. right, because that makes you really cool. and i nagged some of them about their grammar (ah, how hypocritical am i being by posting in all lowercase?), but they just ignored me and kept posting "hai sexciiiii" over and over again.

and then there was another girl who started out okay, but gradually drove me down the lane of insanity. she had this character who: got in an abusive relationship, got pregnant unplanned, got raped, has a twin sister who slept with her boyfriend, has an abusive father, etc. honestly, she kept piling these tragedies on this poor character. and the character was only a freshman in high school, which made it even worse.

    haii sexciiii!

edit -- i revisted the board and found a fairly bad quote.
it makes for a good horror story. eek!
QUOTE
Brittany walked into the school, she glanced around and thought to herself, 'maybe this school will be different, no channel rip-offs' She shuddered, 'Ew, Channel rip-offs' She left the main building and went to the dorms, 'now where do I stay?'

beta pleated sheet - October 20, 2007 04:21 AM (GMT)
Hello, I don't know what that story did more of: scare me or amuse me. Though, I think the best part was "channel rip offs." That made me laugh so hard, my diet coke almost squirted out my nose.

helloemface - October 20, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
after a few more laugh-worthy quotes (i'm fairly sure that the writers of them don't come on this board), i'm going to control myself.

QUOTE
"No, no, I said I gotta go unpack! Is that so hard to get? I'm know I'm hot but why are you all up in my face? Leave it, girl.", he said.

QUOTE
"fo sho. " they turned and walked away from the attention seeking bicht behind them

QUOTE
Blordin walked in to his new dorm room. Hmm.. not bad! It had 2 big beds and one giant TV. Blordin decided to sit down and watch TV until his roommate. (someone be my roommate)

QUOTE
Brittany walked down the halls, looking for Toby, she saw Blordin in their room,
"Hi again, when you see Toby, tell him he is dumped, thank-you"
She flashed a smile and walked off.

vision_afar - October 20, 2007 03:14 PM (GMT)
Looking back, I guess we've all been part of some horrible roleplays when we were starting out, but that's how it usually goes :p

More recently, I've been roleplaying in the X-Men/Marvel verse for couple of years until just a month ago, and I've seen many boards that made me go WTF. I like my canons being canons, and forums that claim to be canon but roleplay some of the most cracktastic stuff you've ever seen is a big turn off for me. It's good to read and laugh -- like bad fan fiction, you know -- but when administration itself is guilty of some of the worst character bastardization I've ever seen, then I could never join such a board.

QUOTE

Exactly. I have nothing against slash personally, but when it goes against canon then keep it away from roleplay and go write fan fiction instead.

Also, when board claims to be literate and they have this huge banner saying 'only accepting cannons!'. Right lol.

It was a board where the owner was an airhead and rarely RPed anything but fairy characters. Now, as an owner myself I try and make characters to help people in their plots... but this one complained whenever no one RPed with her pointless characters...

It was a frustrating experience as there were some damn good RPers there...

Fayefaye - November 4, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Sites in general where a majority of the RP'ers have extreemely poor spelling and grammer, and can barely manage a three line post. Also, posts where, "ppl tlk lyk dis". It's also very annoying when the staff have this superiority complex, thinking their characters are better than everybody else's. I think, the way the staff and members behave really reflect on how much I like/dislike a site.

Lilix Morgan - November 4, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
Hmmm...I used to role-play small one lines when I was a starter, like this:
QUOTE

”Are you allowed to fly through the goal hoops?” Kelly suddenly asked as she thought on her own, thinking, and attempting to get some kind of info out of Harry. It wasn’t easy, that was for sure, but then again, it wasn’t like he was going to suddenly say that he was really bad at guarding one hoop.

Taking a soft small throw Kelly tossed the ball, hoping that Harry would over-react and attempt to launch for it, keeping her fingers crossed. She really needed to practice more.

But I've seen worse, like so:

QUOTE
Harry circled lazily around the goal hoops, wondering if it was against the rules to fly through them in a Quiddich game. Maybe he should ask.

AND this:

QUOTE
"Forgot. I forgot." He smiled, a bit sheepishly. "Sorry."

So yeah.

THS Admin - November 4, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
My worst roleplay was at a site, Star Wars themed. It was a while ago, but the admins were husband and wife in real life. The wife of the couple should have been on anti-depressants (for real, I'm not kidding), she had terrible mood swings and would go on huge rants of how she was so depressed, and complain over IM to myself and her husband (who was sitting in the IM window, even though he was a room away from her).

I have to give the wife credit though, she was an awesome artist. She was (not sure if she still is or not) in college for graphic designs, and made some beautiful artwork. She made the site's skin and everything, and it was really well done. But just because she could draw and use paint programs,it didn't qualify her to be an admin of the site.

The site was poorly run, and when someone made a suggestion about something, and I happened to point out that person's accuracy about what was going on, the admins got flustered. They immediately locked the thread and started ranting on in their news forum about two individuals (whom they "would not name") who disrupted the community, and how no one was to ever cross their judgements.

It died. Not soon enough, but just as well. Thank god and good riddance. Though, I have to say, I miss her artwork. Oh well, there are better artists around.

By far the worst role plays I have ever encountered were on Neopets. For god's sake, a four hundred character limit was murder on my brain, and everyone there was like: ZOMG!! SWEEEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!11!rubberducky!!!

Seriously I made a graphic of whom I thought should play Remus, and everyone was freaking over it and I got mailed so many times about people asking me to make them one. D< I hated it.

There were so many one liners and terrible introductions, like lists. Terrible lists.,.. Like this!

The worst sites I were at were way back when I first began. My first site was a Degrassi RP that was in First Person and there was no requirement on how long you had to post. Plus, there weren't very good admins and you could pretty much just skip around and godmod everyone.

The most I ever posted on that site was like, two paragraphs about how Manny went on a psycho rant and started cutting herself in the hallways. I don't know why I was so interested in that crap. After that site, I didn't RP for a while until I found school RPs and I like those better.

But yeah, I've been a member of a few bad RPs that were just helter skelter all the time.

I would have to agree with all those others who said Neopets have the worst role plays;

I still remember back when I first ever started RPing, it was on that site, and even back when I was eight I was better than some of those people who posted things such as --

summer walked over to tom. 'hi' she said. her blond hair was nice. she wore pink skirt and a blue top which was short it showed off her tanned belly which he liked she knew. she was really pretty, people told her. her eyes were red like her ferrari.

o.O

Yes, I remember someone posting something along those lines.
In fact, a LOT of people posted like that, now that I really think about it.

...how I would hate to go back to those boards.

Ohh, I also have my roleplaying roots back in neopets. I think that was more of a frenzy to attack the one male character than anything. How I actually put up with that I have no idea, because I always played to loser girl who hated all the boys and wanted to play pranks on them... *shakes head* The posts there made my cry, especially when an invinsible and rapidly growing group of "despies", as we called them, mad their way into the games.

It went something like this:

"Jessica walkz into da room n flips her gorgus blonde hair and she has sparkly blue eyes. She is the captain of the cheer squad and just dumped the quarterback of the football team. Shes wearing a jean miniskirt, pink heels and a pink tanktop. SHe plopped onto the couch and waited for the boiz to talk to her"

Honestly, I think I might have been the only one who noticed this but these girls had an unhealthy obsession with sitting on couches and waiting for boys in parties to flock to them. Because *shifty eyes* couches are so sexy. I wish I had saved some of the posts my friend and I found when we basically rampaged through the neopets boards a few months ago and made fun of all the eye-burning posts. Oh well, they'll grow out of it eventually.

I don't think this applies to bad roleplay sites, but on the first real site I joined, they had this chatroom. Not a cbox, it actually refreshed automatically... I think it was ezboard. Anyway, that doesn't matter. All the members got to know each other very well from lurking endlessly in the chat, and eventually we started making little mini-roleplays in the chat that didn't affect IC plots via *these*. They were horrible, but hilarious. By the end of the whole thing (it lasted for several months) we had a site-wide joke about a mansion with different floors and all sorts of silly drama, reinacting dramatic scenes from casa blanca and constantly cheating, commiting suicide, and haunting loved ones as ghosts. Of course, nobody took any of it seriously but I will never forget it.

I'll still randomly find it appropriate to snipe somebody in c-box and get confused when people react in a startled fashion. Haha, that was just how things worked.

edit: sorry if my grammar or anything sucks, its late at night and I'm avoiding an essay...

I don't have my ropleplaying routes in neopets, I started in HPANA. There were RPs and one girl made one, her character was:
