Title: Whaddya Think?
Description: of me plot!

2007

Hogwarts was in a state of temporary safety. Death Eaters were not recorded for about 7 years and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was nowhere to be found. Everyone in the wizarding world knew this had happened before, only to have him come back ten times more powerful. The students seemed content with going by their class work and dealing with the usual teen aged angst. Girlfriends, boyfriends, drugs, alcohol and sex were the main problems facing today's youth. That is, until a sixth year Gryffindoor girl turns up missing. The main suspect is the school's new headmaster: Terrance McClure. He is dark, mysterious and always viewed with suspicion. He claims innocence and he has the power over the children in this school but the parents are raging, calling for a new Headmaster.

The Dark Mark appeared on the night of the girl's alleged death. The magical world is reeling. So is the muggle world. The Americans are causing strife in Europe with their War in Iraq. The British are sending aid and the rest of the continent feel like this is wrong and so they have begun a cold war. The students at school are aware of this and vicious nationalism runs wild. This is another reason for the Headmaster's persecution: he is from Ireland and does not support the British war machine. Nevertheless, the school goes marching forward in an air of suspicious caution.

War amongst the houses is all but fought. Verbal attacks are daily and, every so often, someone shows up to the Hospital Wing hurt from an attack. The most vicious attacks are between Gryffindoor and Slytherin and between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. The houses aren't fans of each other. Will you change this? Make peace or add to the war inside and outside the school.

Hogwarts: A Wizard's Destiny.

So this might be my issue of not reading well enough or something, but I kind of have a hard time seeing how all of those aspects fit into a single roleplay?

And I dunno. I have never been a fan of incorporating something that is happening currently, especially something as heavy as the Iraq war, into a roleplay. It personally makes me feel uncomfortable - almost like I'm disrespecting it or something; which again, is probably just me being odd or something, I don't know.

I think I would like this plot better set further into the future perhaps. I do kind of like the whole mysteriousness of the Headmaster though. It'd be quite the change up from Dumbledore or McGonagall. Would you be having canons like that in the plot? I always find it kind of odd when HP rps are set in like the year 1998 and none of the teachers from Hogwarts are still there but it's not explained where they went or anything? Or when all of the teachers are like 19, but really that's besides the point and I'm kind of blabbering now.

I'm a little confused about it though. I mean .. if it's Harry Potter .. Well it's different and it sounds interesting.

But I don't see how it really fits. But good plot. XD

Well, I am not a fan of Cannons and I think many of the teachers may have moved on by 2007. I am not really following on this plot because it has been incorporated into another game's. I do like the plot a bit though.
