Title: Potter Rpgs: An Abundance Of Hogwarts Plots.

So I've been looking for another Potter RPG in addition to the one I currently admin. Loch Village is still building up it's members, despite all of the denied applications and poor posts that have required immense correction - it's a work in progress and I have extra time on my hands.

My problem is that I cannot find a Harry Potter RPG that is active, organized, that does not take place in a school of any kind, has an original plot and that accepts original characters.

Is anyone else at a standstill like this?

I'm actually trying to find one that's just started (I'm too chickensh!t to join one that's already well underway...don't know why I always feel as if I'm intruding)

Either of you could join mine. It's marauder era, but post graduation, so they're all young adults in the first war. If you want the link you can PM me. It's like, three days old and we have 16 members, so we're looking for canons and OC's

Ahhh. Now, this is something I wanted, too. So I made one! I can't say the game I've launched fits your criteria 100%, but it comes pretty darn close. The one thing it falls short on, is that while we are accepting applications, we're not yet open for roleplaying.

It's Potter era but the trio are adults, doing as adults do! I won't link it here because I haven't submitted it to the advertising section yet, and also because I feel odd promoting a game blatantly outside of the ad forums! but if you would like more information, PM me.

I know what you mean. I guess it's because I want a board that's active (it doesn't have to have a lot of members, as long as the ones it does have are active enough), has a good plot, fair admins (I can't stand those who have those super long applications with, like, twelve sections of personality. I know you have to make us write a lot, but making it difficult is unfair, especially when admins don't even post their character's applications), and has a nice looking board (it doesn't have to be beautiful or spectacular or anything, I just like it when you can tell that someone worked hard to find that skin, or the right header, or nice pips, not just slapped it together in a rush to open the site).

So what I did (and what you can probably do if you haven't) is go to the "Request RP" thread and post what you're looking for. Then people can just reply with boards that fit your criteria; it's easier than going from website to website looking in their advertising sections for the perfect site - trust me :P

I personally like HP RP boards that are in school. But I prefere ones that let you express yourself. Mostly one's that aren't based in the trio's year.
I have been on a few that are a generation after the books and those are a lot of fun.
But now that you point out one that isn't in school...I may have to check something like that out. I love HP, and I love RPing it, but it is really hard to find a HP RP site that isn't just people who watch the movies and have never read the books. Does anyone else have that problem?
