Just curious!

*Hope* - April 6, 2007 11:58 PM (GMT)
I don't really have a favorite because there are so many good ones, so I'll name my top 3 instead :p

Saw 2
Final Destination 3
The Ring, (original Japanese versions)

Out of them, i can't choose, though it's be close between the ring and FD3

Majestikal - April 7, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Saw 2's definately my favorite out of the Saw series. Not sure how they're gonna pull off a 4, though.

I've never seen any of the other two. It's hard for me to get into franchises.

somedude - April 7, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
ooh, toughie.

If you consider it horror, them my top would have to be Silence of the Lambs.

If not, then Seed of Chucky, that was freakin hilarious!

elegantly - April 8, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure if I have a favorite horror movie, but I do really like Stir of Echoes. Silence of the Lambs was amazing, by the way, somedude. If it falls under the Horror category I'll have to share that with you. XD I think it's more of a thriller, but all the same it was great.

A lot of horror movies are nice to watch the first time, but you can't see it repeatedly since you already know all the spooks. Or maybe that's just me?

Majestikal - April 8, 2007 12:21 AM (GMT)
I'd consider Silence of the Lambs more of a crime drama, but it was pretty epic.

I likes seeing horror movies more than once, especially if I'm with friends. At least, that's how I feel about the good ones. Slashers are a lot easier to see again and again, I think. I've seen Saw III about 4 or 5 times.

OnlyHappyWhenItRains - April 8, 2007 07:22 AM (GMT)
Horror movies freak the bejeebis out of me!!! I'm such a scaredy cat, I'll sit there with my face in the pillow half the time. I've actually screamed at PREVIEWS for scary movies in the movie theater. Quite the embarrassing ordeal.
Or they just make me laugh, like Final Destination 3.

Though there have been a few I liked in theory or managed to peek around my pillow long enough to think I liked it. Such as ...

The Cell.
The Birds. (again, that might be misconstrued as comedy, because I think it's funny - weirdo me).
The Blair Witch Project.
Scream.
I know what you did last summer.

Then after that movies got really scary or gory. So yeah that's it, I know, I'm lame and those barely count. :p

somedude - April 8, 2007 01:32 PM (GMT)
I don't know, Blair Witch was pretty good

theblackgoddess - April 8, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
Raise Your Voice.

erm... ok...

Well, I really liked Stay Alive; I was scared out of my mind after watching it, and I nearly jumped out of my seat a few times because I was tempted to run away. Oh, and the new version of "When A Stranger Calls." A lot of people say they didn't like it, but I was really scared! My friend kept saying she wanted to leave the theater because it was frightening her so much.

Cabin Fever. It was pretty awesome.

sunneyflowerz - April 28, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
Silent Hill.
Most of it was just disturbing.

John Delorean - May 2, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
Plan 9 From Outer Space!

brea15 - May 10, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
Disturbia, I would have to say, saw it recently and it rocks.

WereSquid - May 12, 2007 05:39 PM (GMT)
A friend of mine just saw Disturbia and said it was pretty good. I'll have to go see it sometime.

Myself, I love old-school movie. You know, like the original Dracula from the thirties, or the old school Wolfman and Frankenstein movies. In no way were they scary, but man did they ever have class.

As for modern flicks, Silence of the Lambs (I agree, more drama then horror) and The Exorcist. When it comes to horror, I prefer plot and twists over blood, guts and gore; although graphic content is still very welcome. (happy)

GingerSnaps

That is the only horror film that made me jump and I'm a fan of all things horror. Heh.

My one peeve to the movie is that the prequel and sequel killed the film. I still weep over the bad storyline but enjoy the first movie.

Shiho - May 19, 2007 11:36 PM (GMT)
I personally don't have a favorite horror movie. But I've always been a fan of Sleepy Hallow if that counts.

Akito - May 20, 2007 07:29 PM (GMT)
The Sixth Sense is the scariest movie I've ever seen. XD Yep, haha, I can't watch horror movies, I get way too freaked out. I really liked it though. I've also seen Hannibal Rising but I don't really think that counts?

xollamasongox - May 25, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
The original Phsyco, I'm not a big fan of horror movies, even though I do watch them, haha.

Theresa Crane - June 13, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
LEts see here. . . I like Pulse, Disturbia was great too! Um shit why can't I think today there are several horror flicks i like just having brain block atm. The ring was good, the crow, thr3e, . . .thats all for now.

SilentGhost - June 13, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
My favorite horror? It'll have to be George A. Romero's...Night of The Living Dead!!...The original one

.logan - June 17, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)

Wellllll....

Does 28 days later count?
I mean, it did scare the beejeebis out of me ...
But it's the only thing pertaining to horror movies that I could ever finish. e.e

tiffanymarie - June 17, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
28 days later wasn't that terrible, it was just weird jaja :-D
28 weeks later looks weirder.

My fav. horror movie has to be the Freddie K. series. He is pure genious.... the movie that most scared me had to be H20 though. Freddie never scared me. Jason did.
Ekke!

Solid_Snake13 - June 19, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
I have alot of Favorites, but the one I watch the most often has got to be, Night of the Demons.
I also LOVE the Halloween series as well as the Dawn of the Dead Remake.

Beccie - June 19, 2007 12:34 AM (GMT)
Erm...probably Saw or a Nightmare on Elm Street! They are all very cool!

white_gurl - June 20, 2007 12:24 AM (GMT)
Grudge 2

DarkSongstress - June 21, 2007 05:28 AM (GMT)
I don't really have to a favorite horror movie, but I do have to say that Asian plotted horror films freak me out more. I don't it's just something about how they do them that freaks me out. Like 'The Grudge'. Tis very evil for the ghost to invade the sanctuary of under one's covers.

Anywho, I do have to say this. One of my most hated horror movies was Dracula 3000. I've come to the conclusion that movies with 3000 or set in space with non-alien evils are just not meant to be good. I won't ruin it for any who want to watch it but I'll say this about: it's wrong on so many levels. -.-

Neoness - June 22, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
I love horror movies, but I don't have a favourite... I don't think. The old ones are great though. I think I prefer the old classics to the new ones.

Metallicar - June 27, 2007 05:40 AM (GMT)
I don't really like horror movies and I'm not even sure this one counts but Se7en (but that's more of a mystery/suspense/murder)
and if that one doesn't 28 Days week (but that's more of a character study)
so... either the original Psycho or Saw even though it was horribly gruesome I liked the whole aspect of figuring out who was behind it.

retard.kid - July 3, 2007 02:07 PM (GMT)
The Ring

DamienCOE - July 6, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
jeez...pretty much all of my favourites are horros but if I had to choose it would either be the Ring (Japanese Original) or Texas Chainsaw Massacre (again the original)

Although I love originals I still like a lot of the remakes they have been doing recently.

Morrigan - July 7, 2007 09:14 PM (GMT)
Is there ever a true favorite of any Genre?

I love so many movies that it's hard to decide. I'd have to say all three Saws, From Hell and the most terrifying of them all, Spice World.

These are my favorites for today at least. Never know when it may change and become something completely different.

fatsam33 - July 13, 2007 11:27 PM (GMT)
I love Final Destination, Saw movies, Se7en, Identity, Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream. There the first ones that came to mind. I LOVE EM ALL! (blush)
