i think there is to much the same programs on tv every week there is same on.
what do you guys think about that?

I agree. I think that most of the programs on tv are copies of each other, but with different actors. My favorite to think of is King of Queens, which is just like Everybody Loves Raymond in my mind. There are too many shows to actually name, but I agree that there are a ton of shows that seem the same as another show.

The same could be said for roleplays. There's lots of HP/HS/fantasy RPGs, yet their different members/actors make them unique. Or when you get one unique idea, such as Ghost Whisperer, you get copy-cats, such as that psychic show and Raines (except Raines is amazing, so).

I don't mind, really. There's always cool new shows like Heroes & LOST to make things varied.

That's true. & It's happening to movies too. No ones coming up with any good ideas, in my opinion, and I think the result are the releases of all these remakes.

Rawr D: I'm sad I haven't had the chance to watch the show Heroes. Heard it was good.

Gah, and not to mention that eventually the only thing on TV is a slew of half-baked derivatives of decent shows until all we're left with are watered-down crime dramas, medical dramas, "oh those poor uber-rich suburban kids living in tropical paradise" dramas, etc... not my personal taste, to say the least ;)

I wish they would rip off more shows like Supernatural and Heroes. Though couldn't Heroes sort of be a ripoff of 4400? Ordinary people mysteriously imbued with extraordinary powers? Hmmm...

Never used to be able to say this, but when I do watch TV these days, it's mostly Canadian TV o_o Lower budget and production values? Definitely. But money constraints stop the TV channels from flooding the airwaves with derivative programs (unless they're derivatives of US reality/game shows!)
