Canton sat down on the gilded cushion. It was a prized possession of his, one of the memories of his childhood. When he was feeling down, looking around the grim little barrack, he would sit on his battered, fading red cushion and feel better. He turned toward one of his bunks, where his friend and partner sat. She was the one he had been chosen to be with. Not in matrimony, of course. Canton wasn't thinking of marriage yet. The Deis Quaeris Mittis, however, was something constantly on his mind.
The Unholy DQM, as he called it, was the evil tournamnent that he was forced to partake in with Burkal. Supposedly they were on a "God-sent Quest" to compete against each other to find the true Champions of Grabalack. Canton really didn't know what it meant, but he suspected that it was just God-engorged progaganda. In any case, he hated it. It felt like he was going through the Crusades, which, in a way, he was.
He stood, and, lightly treading across the room as to not wake Burkal, stood in the large circle surrounded by rune-like symbols. In front of the circle was a pentagram, surrounded by similar runes. Reaching inside his tunic, he pulled a stick of myrrh, as well as a match. He struck the match on the floor and lit the incense. He stuck the stick inside a little jar of dirt. Little spirals of smoke came up as Canton read an incantantion, "Vens, vens ad egol meum fladamma de nomen Pseutong, quos egol vocalt tibis ad servcas mea." A few sparks danced in the pentagram. They disappeared, off on their task. Then they returned in the form of a gap in the air, kind of just blank and blurry. It became a human-like shape, then slowly started to look a little three-dimensional.
The blur in the air slightly more humanoid. But, as Canton knew, it wasn't a human at all. The illustrious enkil Pseutong was a legend of the Ethereal Primland. Canton's blood contract with him had been a lucky gamble he'd made as a kid, back when he was fourteen. Which reminded him, he needed to seal Pseutong into the world. From his tunic pocket he produced a sharp silver knife. With a swift flick of his right hand, he made a small cut his left forearm, which was a very scarred area. He regretted ruining his skin like that, but it was his only choice to get out of the Unholy DQM. He then flicked the droplets of blood into the pot of dirt that held the myrhh. The binding complete, Canton cleaned the knife on his sleeve and put it away. There, then, in the circle, formed a person. Canton gave a grim smile.
"Hello, my dear Pseutong." |
Custom Notes
-I have no current graphic experience. I'm sorry, I just never had time to learn, but I might soon.
-I don't like to see boards die. I would prefer it if the board I'm joining has a few dedicated members or at least has dedicated staff.
-I like sci-fi/fantasy RPs a lot. HP RPs are good, too. Some Human RPs are okay, but I'd like details about it.
-I've Admined at a few boards, but I left them all and they ended up dead without a spine (sounds suspicious, eh? I promise I'm not lying).
-If you don't trust me at first, I won't be offended. Lot's of people don't trust me at first. (Wait a minute, that came out wrong... >_<)
-If you'd like to know about the plot that sort of appeared in that RP, I can think something up. Also, to any that care, the little sentence was in mock Latin, meaning, "Come, come to me my demon of the name Pseutong, for I call you to my service."

If you're interested, I've got a sci-fi board in the works, based on Phillip K Dick's Ubik. It's almost ready, I'm just waiting for someone to come up with a header and pips for the board. Apart from that, most everything is set up. Actually, I've had experience managing boards single-handedly (without having them ide on me, hehe), I don't really like having a lot of unneccessary staff so I hope you don't mind if mainly it'll be just the two of us. I know you were leaning toward a more established board, but I can assure you I'm a very dedicated admin. I've been running my other board for nearly four years now and I still haven't got tired of it.
Here's the
link if you'd like to take a look.

No, thank you. But, seeing your name, it make me wonder. Does bolgia9 have anything to do with the Ninth Bolgia of the Eigth Circle of Hell, where the Sowers of Discord reside (according to Dante)?
bolgia9 - March 10, 2007 07:06 AM (GMT)
Alright, thanks anyway. (cool)
And yes, my username is from Dante's Inferno. When I read the book, the ninth bolgia fascinated me. Not a lot of people get it, though, haha.
Shadow Addict - March 10, 2007 05:32 PM (GMT)
I read it a few months ago. I greatly enjoyed the book.
Smartguy - March 10, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
Hello, Shadow Addict. My name is Smartguy, and I am here to offer you a position as coadmin on an all-new MARVEL Comics RPG, entitled truly MARVELous.
Though a plot has not been created yet, I assume that it will be centered around an alternate MARVEL universe, or perhaps the new Universe existing in the aftermath of the CIVIL WAR series. If it happens to be the latter, it will take place shortly after the war has ended, and yet shortly before the assassination of Captain America, so that the Captain will indeed be a playable character, as he is a fan favorite.
This new MARVEL Comics RPG is looking for staff members. No matter which of the two plots are selected, you will not need to have read that many comics; for the former choice, the complete Alternate Universe, we will ask that you only look over the many articles about your character's personality out there on the internet or read a few of the comics. For the latter, we ask that you merely read the seven main CIVIL WAR books, entitled Civil War 1, Civil War 2, Civil War 3, Civil War 4, Civil War 5, Civil War 6, and Civil War 7. To be honest, the plot may have to wait for about a week to be created, as I myself am just now proceeding into Civil War 5.
So, we hope that you will consider our (er, my) offer. If you choose to accept, you will be PM'ed the link to the board and be required to register under the following name format:

I just started up a Gunam rpg that's in the future and based around a whole military base as opposed to the select group of pilots. currently we have 4 active members and expecting 3 more soon.
If youre interesed but not highly satisfied tell me what you think is wrong and I'll work on it. I have one guy who's working on plots, I'm good with graphics and the admin pc, what I really need is someone to help keep the site motivated and even narrate for some of the threads

You're probably not interested, but my RP that I'm going to start advertising soon is high-school based, in a lare city in Wisconsin, USA. It takes place mostly during summer, but when the summer season's been played out, the plan is to start up with a school year for high school and college students.
*shrug* Thought I'd offer that I'm looking for some additions to my administration staff.

I haven't quite started advertising my board yet (I'm still working out the kinks and creating a decent 'spine' for my board. -_-), but if you're interested in co-admining a college roleplay, then I've got a board for you. ^-^ I had a roleplay that was decently active until Christmas Break this last year, and nearly every member disappeared after that. -_- So I know exactly how you feel about dying/dead boards. I hope this one lasts. It is an Arts college located in Minneapolis, MN. I've also set up a sorority/fraternity system, a decent plot, and I'm in need of a second admin. ^-^ If you want a link, don't hesitate to pm me. Thanks. =D

I'm working on a Dragon Rider RP if you're interested. It's not ready, though. Far from it.

Hi! I'm Rakuril and my friend and I have been working on a fantasy rpg since December. I have no idea if it's up your alley but I figured I'd give it a shot. We have a massive amount of information so I'll link the plot overview and the staff thread.
[Plot Overview] &
[Staff Thread]This rpg has generated a lot of interest since December and we have people wanting to join. We need help finishing the rpg and getting it up since most of the plot characters are needed to actually start the plots going. If you are wanting a fun brilliant fantasy rpg, this is for you. Thanks for looking over this.
Krimm - March 21, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
lol, you've got a tough ciriculum XD
Hello Shadow Addict, I am Krimm, head admin of an original anime RPG known as Infi.net.
Its Fantasy if you will, though being based in the future, when online gaming holds a major high point in the rough workers lifes. Infi.net, a new MMORPG hit, storms the shelves, being one of the highest rated Online Games sense World of Warcraft in the early 2000's.
The whole game in Online, meaning no out of Infi.net Role Plays, keeping the game Fantasy. It holds an original battle system, many areas to explore, and features a vast customization system for your Player as you journey through Infi.net.
The site has been through many upgrades, and we are currently trying to complete one final upgrade to keep it's status high. We've had major success in the past, thus bringing our total member count to 101. Not so impressive, but we have a dedicated staff, and many loyal members.
If you've ever head of Crimson Heights: Forum RPG, then you might recognize one our top staff members, Ryushu.
Shadow Addict - March 21, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
rakuril, that's an interesting one, that. I suppose you already have an Admin? Doesn't matter, because I 'll join anyway. Looks really good.
rakuril - March 22, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
Yes, we already have an admin :) We got three requests after I posted it.
We do have other positions open. Right now we are still in the baby stage but we are allowing members to join and submit ideas for the site.
