So, I was thinking about a meta-RP. It doesn't make much sense at first, but let me explain. Basically, there was a huge rip in space time and now all the different worlds have made contact. The citizens of each world can have wars, trade technology or other knowledge, etc. There's also a twist. Each world is a pre-existing RP forum. The admins of each board are the "rulers" of each universe. There will be a forum to ask for your RP to be included. Layout is the main problem. I was thinking about each site being a forum in the RP list. There would also have to be limitations on the kinds of forums allowed. I was thinking something like "No forums based on preexisting universes (For example, Harry Potter RPs), no RPs based on reality (Reality with fantasy elements is okay, however. ), and no two forums can be too similar". So good or no good?

Hmmm... thats something similar to an idea I've had before but I was never really sure if it would work. I fall somewhere in the maybe catigory. :)

It sounds interesting, and it could turn out really cool. But you would have to find willing participants. I know many admins wouldn't want their high school boards invaded by videogame characters and vice versa.

It also sounds like a really nice way for admins to connect with other admins :3.

I also think I've heard this idea [or something similar] somewhere else. I'd be interested in joining, but I wouldn't enter any of my sites that already exist.

I've been on boards that have tried the travel between forums thing. It's the hardest thing in the world to organize and often if you find one of the boards more appealing than the others, you might only stick to that one, and then one board is getting more activity than the other, and some admins may get upset. It would be extremely hard to organize, but it's worth a shot if you can find some really cooperative admins.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I have a close admin friend of mine, so he'll probably insert his forum. Running a board like that may get chaotic, but I think I'm up to the challenge. Besides, I was thinking something geared towards fantasy/science fiction RPing anyway, and as stated above, not all genres can participate. In any case, I won't be too disappointed if it fails anyway. At least I tried.

That actually sounds really fun! It'd be extremely interseting to find out what would happen when it got all organized and ready to go! It would be really fun to join a forum into it too!

I love it! It's very unique IMO. Sadly, though most of my boards have been deleted. Though, I'd still be willing to create an HP board and join it. If you're interested, of course XD.
