Title: Your Special/lucky Item?

Ancient_Rainfall - February 12, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Do you have a special or lucky item that you always have with you? Why is it special or lucky? What kind of item is it? What does it look like? How did you get it? Did any lucky outtings happen, while with this item?

Mine is a golden fish necklace with a magnifire. The golden chain that loosely hangs around my neck is quiet long. The little golden, very detailed, fish with fins, tail, etc, at the end of the necklace is a resemblance to me liking the water and the ocean. The magnifire on the end of the golden fish's mouth, is edged with golden. I got it at a fair for $25.00 a couple days ago. I always wear it except at night, so it doesnt' break. When I was getting it, I lost track of the stall it was at, but a picture came to mind, and I, like a robot, went straight for it, and got the necklace. (Weird, huh?) Also, on the day I bought it, I found a fifty dolllar bill. :)

My most special item is a ring that is an intertwined dragon holding an orb. I bought this at the renaissance faire for $33.00. Oddly, it was special and lucky. I used all change, no dollar bills. They didn't mind though, kinda wierd. Ever since then I've been seriously lucky.

I had a perfect $1 canadian bill (Which haven't been in circulation for a long time) that I carry in my wallet and is completely rumpled now. :) I treat my lucky dollar well.

Hehe, I do some weird things in the name of luck.

The night before anything important (like my job interview the other day) - I shower and use the soap my Mum made, the shower gel my brother gave me for Christmas. I wear the bracelet my Nan gave me, the earrings Mum made, and the shoes I wore to work every day in my final year of highschool.

And yes, I got the job.

As far as items go - I have an American dollar bill (woot you say, but I'm Aussie - so I find notes for small change amusing), that was given to me by my friend from Panama. I also have a lucky dollar (Australian) that I found at the pub one night.

I seriously think I've spent that dollar six times, but it always ends up back in my pocket!

But I was born on St Patrick's Day -- so I'm just a lucky charm in myself. XD

Not really a lucky item, but I always wear my ruby class ring; I just feel odd without it.

I have a Superman shirt and my 'perfect fit' jeans that I wear when I need luck though; I wore them during my SATs. Unfortunately the shirt is a size too large so it looks a bit weird, but hey, I got a good score, so. ;]

I've got a Pac-Man wrist band. It gives me luck during physical things. D:

I have quite a few items that I wear every single day unless I'm going to a party or just need a change of things. Always 6 rings, I don't even take them off at night. It is unfortunately how I happened to lose one of them, but that ring always falls off and it always seems to come back to me somehow. My mom's class ring is next, then my class ring, a butterfly ring that I got from my friend at Christmas, a Ying-Yang ring that a friend of a friend's just up and gave me out of nowhere. That was a weird situation, but it's still special to me. And right now, to keep the 6 ring tradition, I have a small silver ring with swishes off the sides [kind of like the RPG-D symbol]. My ring that I lost is silver as well and it has a small moonstone like stone in the center with little symbols around it that look very celtic.

I always wear a bunch of bracelets [mostly hemp & sewing floss made], rubber bands, hair bands, 1 leather bracelet that belongs to a friend of mine, but he doesn't seem to want it back anytime soon, so I still have it.

Neclaces and earrings are my alltime favorite jewlery. I have 2 hemp neclaces, one that I haven't taken off for months now. I made it in camp the summer after my Freshman year of High School. It's the regular hemp stitch, but hanging from it I attached a big stone with a hole in the middle and I caged it with thin wire. It's supposed to draw in negative energy and when it's too full to hold anymore, it's supposed to break and release it away from you. Then, I have a small tinkerbell neclace with dark purple stones as wings. I usually wear a small silver neclace with a chinese symbol meaning peace that my friend Tim game to me for my birthday last year, but it was getting tangled with a new neclace that I got for my birthday, so I took it off for the time being. My new neclace is a simple silver link chain [like the kind that you can actually see in-between the links, err, kind of like "chains" that would be like "fly" to wear, if any Americans out there get me...] and hanging from it is an assortment of beads and stones. At the very end hangs a single piece with three stones and a humming bird attached by it's beak to the end. I absoltuely love birds [I always end up buying a shirt with one whenever I go shopping, it's such a wonder to me because I usually don't realize it until I get home XD] and it was one of the best birthday presents I've ever gotten, especially because of the person who gave it to me. I was absolutley shaking when he handed it to me the night before my birthday, I could barely open the box!

Last things that I don't bother to take off are a few anklets made out of hemp and sewing floss. As you can tell I absolutely love making and wearing them! Whenever someone sees me making one I always get a request for one, so now I'm making one for my friend Sunshine. I sewar people are just going to be covered in them by the time I run out of floss!

Mine is a gothic celtic cross that my grandfather got for me a few years ago. Whenever i wear it it makes me feel calm and collective and i seem to do well in whatever i do when i have it on. I dub it the Forbidden Crusifix for some reason... can't remember why.

My lucky item would have to be this red and blue babydoll blouse I bought. It just seems to make me happy all the time, and when I wear it, I don't make a fool of myself, like I normally do. :)

A statue of the Holy Family. It's sitting on top of my dresser, and I got it when I got Confirmed at my church and I've been loving it ever since. It seems to make me in a better mood whenever I look at it. <3
