Type(s) of Creature(s):Humanoid(like humans elves, that whole thing. Custom races are cool to.....)
Preferred Rating:any really
Preferred Number of Members/Activity:not too many that i won't be able to get into the plot easy enough, but not too little that a plot can't form at all
Preferred Time where RPG is set in:past
Other Notes:It is hard for me to explain what I want, cause I really don't fully know. Mainly, the skin has to be appealing. If the site has a bad skin I won't even look at it. There has to be a plot that it is easy to get a character into. Not easy enough that I just show up and I am part of the plot, but I think you all get the idea. I do not play cannon characters.
I have been through almost all of those in the directory and haven't liked them. I look through them very quickly though so if you still want to post your site here, I will take another look. I guess that is all....

Well I hope this will be to your liking. We do have a lot of members but we are a very welcoming group (expect many pounces and cookies). The smallest post you'll likely see is 200 words though they can span much larger than that.
We have 4 major plots that could easily be fit into right now and many personal plots as well.

Out of Character: Artistic Shade is an open, inviting community of writers, many of which have years of experience and just love writing. We want to provide everyone with the best role playing experience possible so we have a diverse and devoted staff to answer your questions, make you graphics or simply respond to your post.
In Character: We have three original races available to play at the moment; a magical race called the Ethians, a desert tribe called the Osai and a forest clan called the Dryads. For locations we have two major cities, each with sub-forums to role play in as well as a village and the forest. We have also, on occasion, allowed player created races so if you have something different in mind, you are free to run it by us. We also are trying out a 3-Level posting system, unlocking new boards to the members as you post.
Our Plot: Our rpg takes place in the district of Savris, part of the empire of Ethus, a place where many changes have taken place against the norm of the empire. Once ruled only by women, this district was the first ever to have a King, causing an uprising all across the land and a division of its peoples. His reign ended by his disappearance the night of his grand celebration. The ball ended in a riot destroying the capital of Silver. Now, leaderless, the two largest cities (Shadowwyn and Desert Watch) are at odds. Making matters worse, the Osai are no longer content to sit back and watch from the sidelines, they have their own hands in this plot. Adding to the trouble, there have been strange rumors about the University of Magic and there is talk of a strange people found out in the forest... possibly even kidnapping slaves. With so many plots and things to do, get in the thick of things today.
Stats: Having opened at the end of September, we have many loyal members but we are always looking for new people to join us. The game is always active with anywhere from twelve to over a hundred posts a day, we have members all over the world so there is almost always someone on. We are just starting our second global plot line, so it is a great time to join if you would like to get involved!

I was reading the plot, and it seemed oddly familar for some reason. That is becuase I had been a member of your site before, but about the time I joined was about the time I fell out of rping and so I have a character on your site but I think I was only in one rp on it.

I run a Legend of Zelda RPG, www.nsmrpg.com. It's not typical 'fantasy' in the sense that it's based on a videogame, but we're pretty open to non-Zelda people. We have about ten to fifteen active members and we're very friendly to new people.

We have no wide open plots besides the normal skirmishes that exist between the races, but we are always up for new ideas. Because we are new and still growing we are up for taking any type of suggestions for new races, areas, plots, etc.

Preferred Time where RPG is set in: It is in a medieval like realm.
Paradise Lost
Plot/Story: In the beginning, there was balance. There was nothing but balance in the universe and soon, she gave birth to three entities. Order, Chaos and the world of Tirrann. Balance made a world were everything was equal and nothing was out of whack because it was ruled by her and only her. Things were wonderful, peaceful and prosper in Tirrann, as well as in the lives of the three entities which rules over the land as the holy deities of the created people.
However, as time passed, the two brothers, the sons of Balance, Order and Chaos began to quarrel. Chaos had a unrequited need for attention, power and gain, all things that Order was against. Order believed that power was to be won over by love not taken by force. Soon Order and Chaos were quarreling so much that Balance became sick. You see, Balance's children were both a part of her and having them fight was enough to push her straight into her sick bed.
Balance didn't last long after that. Soon she was gone and left to rule the world of Tirrann was Order and Chaos. This happened in Tirrann seven hundred years ago. Balance was gone leaving both Order and Chaos to rule... but since there was no balance, everything began to change. Paradise was lost to chaos making good people bad, and love turn into hate.
Soon, everyone wanted power and began to fear what they didn't know. It was war for some time until everything seemed to equal out on its own. Of course, hundreds of lives were lost in battle between those who believed Chaos should be the ruling God of Tirrann and those who believed that Order should be the one to rule.
Now, seven hundred years after the death of balance, the world is divided. There are those who worship Order, others who worship Chaos and a world in between that has forsaken both in keeping neutral, almost a homage to the deceased Balance that once ruled peacefully.
Other notes: Site is still fairly new, only being two weeks old, and revolves around a fictional world created by me and the co-admin. If this isn't what you are looking for, I apologize and hope you find what you are looking for =)

Past clashes with Present.
It was a average day, fighting and learning. A loud thunderous noise echoed through Hogwarts, freezing the Marauders and their fellow students in their place. The professors and new students just moved about, as if they weren't even there. 1977 went by so fast and so on. Finally reaching the year, 1997/1998, they had been froze in time, though they still lived as if they would have before. But it was like something happened to them, it was like everything that should have happened, didn't and due to that they ended up in the years of their own children, whom of which are more then meets the eyes. Lily & James were never murdered by Lord Voldemort, in fact, Voldemort never became that evil at all, though the Death Eater's are around, just not the Dark Lord.
Having been unfroze in a new place, well the same school just new surroundings, they didn't know what to do. The only place they could turn was to the Headmaster, which was thankfully still the same, Dumbledore. Though Dumbledore himself could not explain what happened to well, he did as much as he could. At the feast that night, Albus introduced all the students that had been frozen in time, those students who parents were there, where shocked. Telling them all about what happened, he couldn't answer all the questions about WHY it happened.
All they knew is that they where now stuck in the future and there was no way of them ever getting back. Now, all of them where pretty much the responsibility of Dumbledore. They had no place to go, since their parents have been long gone and they no longer had homes. All of those students from the past where now stuck into the future, for good, they had to live at the school and make it through day by day together.
