A problem with most RPGs is keeping members active and interested. So, if you have a RPG of a less-action oriented genre, such as the game "Harvest Moon," what is a good way to keep people wanting to post :3?

It's all about new and exciting stuff. . .keep coming up with the new ideas. We just added Jay Serge's "Childhood RPing" idea to our site, and it's extremely sucessful. The great thing about this forum is the wealth of great ideas which get shared. Our RP takes place in one neighborhood, so at one point, we had a character get a huge beachhouse for two weeks and everyone was invited to come to the beach. We made a forum and everyone who wanted to lived there for "two weeks," (or until they got bored with the idea). It was great fun.

Harvest Moon? I don't know . . . weddings? I can't remember much about the game.

Seriously, I would suggest something a little out of the ordinary. Sure you can have the little hoe downs and star gazing parties. But perhaps your characters can go on an adventure. Or maybe they can save their farms from a massive fire or snowstorm.

I also own a Harvest Moon forum and I maybe get one member a week if that and currently I only have nine members. One of them an actual member, not an admin or anything. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated also.

Activity is an uphill battle, to keep people into it you have to keep things moving and changing.
