Title: Help Please
Necrorose - January 24, 2007 03:00 AM (GMT)
I have a new board and the Co-owner is not doing anything. I am tring hard to get memebers that are active and so far no such luck. Can anyone give me some ideas of what I can do or what sites I can visit to help me get more memebers...:)
If so thanks. (sweat)

Well, for starters. Get rid of your co-admin! Go to other directories and put your board up there. Also, most rpg forums now have an advertising section that guests can post in to advertise their board. If you make a post that's attractive enough, you'll soon start pulling in some members. You should also give it a lot of time. You probably won't have 60 members within a week or two. So, be patient and remember to advertise like CRAZY! ^_^
Hope this all helps you!

RPG Collection is a good place to advertise if you need a name.
Also, try getting affiliated with rpg's similar to your own (easy here!). Almost anyone will affiliate and it can only help.
Good luck!

If no one is joining, and you have empty forums, I suggest making multiple accounts and just RP with yourself. Also, if you have an OOC board put in a few forum games, like "this or that" is a big hit on my board.

And remember the boards you advertise at, makes sure you chec their stats. cause some boards are better then others to advetise at, but then again it's a advert to advertise at. so go for it!

I do have some empty forums, but I can only post so much with my two accounts. I am advertising as much as I can and yes I have done all those things and only have 13 memebers....

I guess it probably depends on your site. The better the layout and plot, the more members you will get. (Generally speaking.)
About your co-admin: if I were you, I would talk to him/her and see what's up. Sometimes school can be very time consuming, or it may be something else. But if he or she decides that being the co-admin is too much to handle, perhaps you could make a separate member group for him/her which has access to the admin CP so he/she can help you out when you need it. (You could call the group "Co-Founder" or something.)

That is what gets me he/she is on another board all the time. Just not on the one that we created...Which is odd. I am tring hard to get a better layout and the plot I have been told is pretty good...:)
Thanks to all for your help so far..It helps.
