Ok, I'm just curious to know, do you have piercings and if so how many? What made you decide to get pierced? If not, what reason do you have for not getting any?

I myself have 11

I got six piercings. Two in both ears, a nose and labret (lip) piercing. I got my first holes in my ears when I was a little girl, and my second holes when I was 16. My nose piercing I got when I was 14 I think. And my lip piercing when I was 19 lol, it's not even half a year ago. I wanted to have a lip piercing for ages, so I finally decided to take one. I also think that it's quite good of myself that I waited with such a piercing until I was over 18. In my opinion I made a concious decision about getting it.

I thought about serveral piercings, a ring, snakebites, madonna, but I liked a simple piercing in the middle the best, also seeing the occupation I'm going for now (highschool teacher) snakebites would be a bit over the top, although I would be a very cool teacher then XD.

I tried to get a second piercing in my ears, and it got so badly infected despite all the disinfectants and such I used, so I let them close up. I've been afraid of piercings ever since. Most of the time I don't even wear earrings.

Haha I would love it if one of my teachers had snake bites! One of my teachers right now has a very odd spot of her cartilage in her ear pierced, the very front part, that kind of covers the opening to your ear. I hope you get what I mean... She's not that great of a teacher though, so she doesnt get any cool points! lol

I myself have 5. Two in each lobe and one cartilage. I got my first lobe ones when I was 6 and then my second when I was around 12. I really want to get those redone because they screwed up soo much. And my cartilage I got when I was, 13, I think. I really want third holes in each lobe, I've told my mom that a few times, and even though she's willing to take me, it still hasnt happened. Ah wells, I can deal. I want a few more piercings, not exactly sure where yet though. My mum would kill me if I got my belly button pierced, and I'm not so sure I want that anyways. A friend of mine just got her eyebrow pierced. I dont think I would look so good with that, so I'm not really sure what to do! Ah the dillemmas of mutilating my body!

I have 10. Eeep! I guess I got pulled into the trend of them. It's funny, now that I'm supposedly "maturing", I hardly wear all of them. Only 2. Gah. I guess I'm just weird like that. I think it has something with the people I'm trying to impress because, like ShinLi, I want to be a teacher. Maybe not highschool, but I don't want to scare teh ickle kiddies away.

I only have 1 because my other ear hole closed. But i want to get my belly button, ear cartilage, and another on my ear lobe. so yeah, but i have to wait until i turn eighteen because my mother doesn't like all those peircings and crap.

I have six, demoted from eight. Two to each ear, navel/bellybutton and one that is rather not discussed with people unfer the age of 18 XD
I did have my nose done, but that rejected, and what with working for teh government (UKtax), I let my labret close up. I'm only in a callcenter but the chances of getting promoted with such a blatant decoration are slim to nil. Of course tattoo's don't count (I have nine of those XD).

I think I may be the first to say this but I have no peircings whatsoever. Well I did have one but I had it close up because my family was like ruling my own body expression. They told me stuff like how about you keep that in or go get another one or even don't foget to take it out when you go to sleep. They were being so rude to my own image that I just took it out and let it close up. Me being a guy I would have to say that I have some plans when I get older. Maybe another one in my ear would be well right now. I want to get my lip or my tongue. Wow I wonder what my life would be like if I had that done.

I find it so sexy that a guy has a lip or tongue piercing XD. Especially snakebites are so cool on certain guys, or a cool ring in the middle of the lip (like Chester from Linkin Park).

Quite interested, I had a test today, and there was also an article included for a question, and it was about piercings and how societies views are on piercings. I found that quite funny because I immediatly had to think about this topic.

I have two in each ear. I don't think I really want any more because I don't want it to look over done. Some people can pull it off, but not me.

I think having my belly button pierced would be kind of cool, though. But not today. ^_^

I finally got my ears pierced after 17 years of being holeless. Interestingly enough, I got them pierced when I went to India, because we ended up at a spa that appeared cleaner than Claire's would ever be!

I didn't consider piercing my ears because of bad family history; although I've been okay I will probably never get anything else pierced because people hardly see my ears as it is, they don't want to see my navel (trust me!), and my father is a linguist and so would constantly tease me about a tongue piercing if I ever got one (that, and I find punching holes through my tongue rather abhorent).

I tend to view piercings in all the ways they can go wrong. XD Infections galore, punching a nerve in your tongue and ending up with half your face paralyzed, etc, etc... Especially the unmentionable piercings that cannot be discussed have incredible horror stories, lol. At the end of the day I kind of view it dogbert-like - you're punching holes in yourself, and for what? A relatively painless ear piercing is as far as I'll go, considering I don't even wear high heels for the sake of fashion. :p

I realize I said that I had 11 piercings, but I didn't mention where they were. Here goes:

I have my ears pierced and have since the ripe age of 3. What started as an innocent little one hole in each ear has blown into 5 holes in one ear and 4 in the other. Three on bottom in each and 2 in the cartlidge in one and 1 in cartlidge. If you're keeping count, that's 9 piercings there. (I like having the odd number in each and I NEVER wear matching earrings)

I also have my belly button pierced and my tongue which makes up the 11. I'm thinking of getting another piercing now, but I'm not sure where. Perhaps my nose or my lip.

Age 16: Belly Button as a d-day gift
Age 18: I had a total of five on each ear but they closed up and what not so I have three total on both ears. By then I had guaged my first peircing at age 10 to now to the size of: 0gauge. Also to the collection was middle of labret.

Why I got them... could not really give a reason. I love getting body modifications and probably will never stop.

Psh, I do believe that so far out of this topic I have the most. I have 14; all in my ears, because my mother won't let me get anywhere else pierced while I'm still younger than 18. But let's see, I have 4 in each lobe, and then in the cartilage I have 2 in the left one and 4 in the right one. I plan on getting my bellybutton pierced, as well as my tounge, and possibly either my nose or lip - I pretty much am fasinated by the whole thing, so I want to get as much as possible without covering my whole body in piercings.

Well I completley forgot to post here when it happened, but my Mum finally took me for my third ear lobe hole about 2 weeks ago. I went to a tattoo parlor because I downright refused to go back to Claires. They screwed up my second hole so bad, it sucks! I couldn't believe how expensive a tattoo parlor was for a freaking lobe piercing, but the earings are those slightly more gaged holes with the little balls to close them up. I still have no idea how to get them out, lol. But yea, so now I have 7 piercings, keep um comin!

Yay for piercings. I have three: nose, lip (on the right side) and an industrial (two piercings in the ear cartilage connected by a bar). I've always had my ears piereced, got them done when I was but a babe. Got my nose ring at 18 and my industrial last summer. I want more but don't know where to get them. Navel and tongue are out for me b/c that would be too much hassle. I would love to get a madison (a piercing in the neck, between the collar bones) but the migration and rejections rates are so high I don't think it's worth it. I could just get a tattoo instead but that whole permanant thing is kind of a turnoff. I guess I'll just fill up my ears for now.

I just have one hole in each ear, but I would love more. I don't know where...I'm not brave enough for lip/nose/eyebrow, but maybe an industrial bar or something. Tongue ring would be cool but my sister had one and she said she hated the first week because it hurt so much. And it always annoyed the hell out of me when she clicked it against her teeth, XD.

I was just about to say the same thing. I don't mind it on friends, except that awful clacking. I don't even think most of them realize they're doing it after awhile.

BTW, tongue piercings have also been shown to have a very high rate of cracked and chipped teeth.

Past piercings: I had the center of my lip done, and another hole in each ear… but they were all removed.
Future piercings: Right side of my lip to complete my snake bites, Septum [center cartridge of your nose], two more in my left ear, three more in my right and I'm contemplating a Monroe.

I have both ears done three times, and had my right nostril done at one time. It kept falling out while I was sleeping, though. I think it hated me. Lmao. The scar was hurting a couple days ago. I couldn't touch it. I still want to get it redone, though. I also want my left lip done. I want every piercing Frank Iero from MCR has.

14 piercings in one ear?????? That's crazy. I can't imagine how you have to sleep at night so that the studs don't drive through your head.

But as for myself I have a measley 8 and I'm not as adventurous as most of you. I have 2 cartilages in one ear, 1 in the other, and then both ears have 2 lobe piercings. Then a belly button ring that I got when I was 16 and really wish I wouldn't have bought into the trend. I would let it close up but I'm even more afraid it'd look all sick and weird, so I suffer the hassle.

Three- Two in my left ear, one in my right. I look really emo with my new haircut&& FallOut Boy/MCR/Good Charlotte blasting out of my MP3. I love it. *Dance dance (we're falling apart to half time?)*
I want to buy more rings for the single hole, and maybe I'll buy some industrial earrings if I can, because they rock.

YES! I only have my ears peirced once right now, but once I can I'm going to get them double peirced, then cartlidge, and nose. Never anything on my face!!!

I'm allowed to get whatever I want done. My mum doesn't see the point in saying no to stuff like that cause we will only rebel and get it done when we leave home. Plus that would make my mum a hypocrite. She has so many piercings and has about five tattoos. So we'd only be following her example.

I've had to put getting my nose done; I thought I was going to college, but I'm not anymore... -time to brag; I'm going to the best sixth form in our city- so I can't get it done. (unhappy)

I have my ears done, twice in each. I did have my lower lip and my nose, but I had to take them out. I want to get my tongue pierced, but I'm a woosie XD Yes, I may have been okay to get my lip pierced...but really....tongues are very sensitive and I hear you arn't allowed to drink coffee for about 6 weeks...which I will die from.

right now i just have my ears regularly and one at the top. but i'm going to get my belly button eventually.

I always find it mightily ironic that some people get piercings to look different, when in fact a vast majority of people have pierced somethings anyway. =P

I've got nine. Nose, five on the left ear (industrial, tragus, lobe 2x), and three on the right (cartilage, lobe 2x). Used to have my navel as well, but it migrated. I don't think I'm going to be putting any more holes in myself, unless I suddenly decided that my ears need to be more balanced. Oooh, but I do love vertical labrets! I doubt I could pull it off, but I do love them.

I used to have three in each ear, but I've let them heal, down to one each.


Thinking about getting my nose pierced, just for the hell of it. (Maybe to make my sister flip out, ha) Still haven't worked up the whim enough to do it.

None. Unlike with tattoos, where my fear of needles is a problem, it really doesn't bother me with ear piercings. I just think it's a dumb preoccupation to have. Having to keep them clean, worrying whether the hole will close up or not, having to go out and buy matching sets of jewelry...no thanks. I'm happy the way I am. I don't need any extra holes to worry about.

I've got the standard one in each ear, but I'm looking into lip piercings now. I get sick a lot so I'm worried about a nose stud, and don't think I could pull off eyebrow... I'm thinking possibly a vertical labret, but would have to go for some major style changes if I was going to pull it off.
