Title: Multiple Rpgs On One Board

Okay, so my friend Danny has this forum, and I'm his right-hand Global Mod. It's a mixture of an Anime fan forum and an RPG forum. We're working on two big, completely different RPGs. One is like THE Mega-Fandom-Crossover RPG, to appeal to the folks who enjoy playing anime/manga/comic book/video game characters. The other one is a darkish RP with original characters only. The thing is, they are both on the same site with the anime forum, and are, like I said, completely different in every way, shape and form, and entirely separate from each other save for the fact that they are on the same site. We're also going to try running a third one on the side as an experiment in using levels, HP and EXP in a Play-By-Post RP, but that one's been kinda kicked off into the dust by the other two.

Yes, I'm aware that it seems like an awful big task for two people, but that's why we've got this thing set up where we'll get new mods as we hit certain member count "milestones", to help us run things.

My question is, would we be able to advertise these two RPs separately? Or would we have to advertise them as one big thing, despite the fact that they are very different in genre, plot and premise? I'm thinking that it would be more effective to have separate ads, each linking directly to the section of the board that contains the RPG they're advertising, but I don't want to risk breaking any rules, so I'm running it past you guys.

You can only advertise a board once, so I'm sorry, but you have to advertise it together. There are more boards out there who have mulitple RPG genre's combined into one forum, some even around six, we can't allow six seperate ads of one forum. It would also not be fair to other members who have advertised and will advertise.

So I'm sorry, but I have to say no. I completly understand why you might want to have two seperate threads, but within the rules I can't allow it.

Okay. Not a problem. I guess we'll just have to pick which one we want to be the main attraction, then? ^_^;;

You can have both of them advertised equally in the same thread. I've seen quite a few boards do it before and they normally go in the Crossover - Other area, so your add will be with others like it.

Okay. Good to know. I'll go tell Danny. *scampers off*
