Title: Looking For A World With Gods/goddesses!
Description: Look inside for details, fools!

Atlas - March 10, 2010 10:48 PM (GMT)
Genre: Some form of fantasy, obviously!
Difficulty: Any.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Preferably no restrictions on the types of Races/Creatures, although it really doesn't matter... I guess.
Preferred Rating: N/A
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: Active. Over a month old. Preferred, though, so don't shy away!
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Medieval, although I'm willing to work with future/modern.

Other Notes: I'm a big fan of Gods and Goddesses, whether based off of the Greek/Roman ones or not, it doesn't matter. Just ultimately looking for a nice, active board, preferably with its own dedicated domain, although it doesn't truly matter... :)

Post away!

The fandom that Chaos Theory is based on (Sonic The Hedgehog) has a few gods and god-like characters in the canon. We're over a month old and have recently sprung back from a bit of an activity drought. If you're okay with playing anthropomorphic animals, it may be the game for you.

We're currently diving headfirst into a boardwide plot, which is the perfect time for any characters, original or canon, to establish themselves as big influences in this universe.

LOL, sorry but I have to laugh. Why? Because Legends of Nor'Ova is perfect for you!

The whole story revolves around the conflicts between gods and the mortals that have to live through it! No, you don't get to play any gods, but they are there, and there are plenty! Just take a look at our Religions and Beliefs page in our Encyclopedia NorOva. Plenty of gods. Best of all, they all have a purpose and a place in Nor'Ovan mythology and history.

Give us a look, I swear, this site is made for you :).

Odd how I hit send before finishing this post...

I've got Sunrise to offer you and I think its in on the path that you are hoping to find! It's based on historical facts, however we do also offer a small bit of fantasy in that we have a desert tribe who have abilities persay. The site is based on the Roman Empire and its conquered areas during 55BC, you are welcome to play as pretty much anyone and we just opened! We don't have a specific word count, however we ask that you are courteous to the other person you are threading with and try to match their count! We've got canons which are Roman gods in hiding, but we're also accepting originals if you're looking to play something different!

The year is 55 B.C. and the world as we know it is changing. The Romans are finally realizing that they are not as powerful as they believe, and the worst part is that they are realizing it as their borders are starting to disintegrate. The last thing they need is rebellions on their own front, but they do know how to deal with it. Now, they are sending troops out to the nations of the Gauls and "calming" them. Which means they are going to silence them with any means possible. They are being slaughtered on the border, and the worst part is that the Gauls really cannot do anything about it. The Roman armies just keep coming in numbers greater and greater. How can they stop them? How can they fight against this hoard that seems to be never ending?

Egypt, also under Roman control during this year, is also having the same kinds of problems. Cleopatra, Queen at this time, wants to rule her own country. There are minor battles on the borders of Egypt from a group of desert men that want to take control over Egypt. She needs to address this, and yet Julius Caesar will not allow her to do so. She finds an ally in Mark Antony though, and surprisingly enough he is ready to work with her to take down Julius Caesar and make Egypt it's own nation. Now they are deciding how to take down Julius from within, and he doesn't even realize that there is not only a battle in the Northeast, but a battle from within.

My rpg is a fantasy rpg about a religion that rules the world in the future and is based on selfishness. It actually exists to serve the interests of various corporations. The pantheon of Gods are based somewhat on Finnish mythology. A god named Keitoleinen is said to have killed the Gods to become the only god. However, he has many children so there is a chance to play as a demi God. A god named Ukko also survived and is wandering the world. Other Finnish Gods may exist as reincarnations. So, if you are interested in playing a God or demi God, there are some oppornitunties.

Well, we're a medieval fantasy roleplay set over three different Kingdoms, which each has its own patron God/Ess. But, they are non-playable at the moment, anyway; but we'd love for you to take a look around if you're still interested!

The countries of Morbourne, Fallhaven and Valcoast are all unique, and all tied together. Trades occur, merchants travel, and treaties are reviewed, signed, and broken: it is a way of life. The population is a mixed bag of humans and mages, with the rulers by line of each kingdom the latter: super powered and capable of destruction, though for now there is peace – a stable peace, as each depends on the other as a chain of lifelines. The citizens of each country all have a védo; a bonded animal who walks on the outside but guards the inside.

Each country has three main cities; the capital, where the reigning body lives, and two other major cities that deal in trades and the like, ruled by Lords and Ladies who bend their knee to the ruling throne: though fights between them are fairly common as they struggle for more land, better resources. Along with the cities, each country has its own unique armed force: in Morbourne, it is a land of chivalry with shining knights and heavy destriers. In Fallhaven, a unit called the Freeriders make up the light cavalry, specialising in swordplay and mounted archery, wearing little armour, on fleeter horses. In Valcoast, it is the sea that is their playground, with ships like no other and laws even more foreign.

Its~ a modern day site, but I hope you'll check us out. Carpe Diem has a dedicated member base, to start out. And we've combined the Greek myths and such with a bit of magic and supernatural along with real life (and politics, we recently started going on our big political plot dealing with a new president).

--------------------

"The New Reform Party swept black across the board."
"Mr. Fox and Mrs. Weight-Bienzle's famed alliance becomes the three musketeers, with the new Mr. President as their forerunner.
"A horror story was made late last night when a group of young teenagers stumbled upon a Prodomenos killing a demon. They stepped in, but with dire consequences."
"We just can't understand what started this war, Mr. Allie?"
"A story just a little younger than time itself."

CARPE DIEM! is a real life fantasy...where the mythical creatures just have to get used to the fact that the real world has rules. Shapeshifters revealed themselves and the other species when a war broke out between the tribes, a war that would shake the foundation of humanity. Now the dust has settled, and the different species are finding them all on the same playing field.

Now the Greek Gods have involved themselves in humanity once more, to try and control their beasts of burden.

The Metakino - shapeshifters, sectioned off into the Anthos who are controlled by a human mind and the Faunos who judge with their animal hearts.

The Witches - Hecate's creatures, humans reborn after they died sacrificing themselves for another. They are brought back to help the human race...something they need at this point in time

The Demons - every prey has a predator, and the humans are the victims of these Forbidden Beasts. They were doomed by the Greek God, Apollo. They cannot withstand the sunlight and live off the souls of humans.

The Prodemenos - a species created by Apollo's sister, Artemis, they control the Demon population. However, this is at the cost of their own souls and the death of their human bodies. They are sad, angry creatures, borne of humans whose death was due to betrayal. They take out this rage on the demons they hunt.

------

The world has gone through much during the past few years. A war between otherwordly species, a genocide of humans, and then the chaos that reigned afterwards. The former government reclaimed their position, but the humans, understandably, could not trust them. Not that the dust would ever settle, for soon there was another uprising. The Demon Revolution. Demons have always been the "underdog" of this world. Banished from the sun from their former Father, they live a life on the underbelly, being picked off one by one by the Prodomenos. With Gasira Weight-Bienzle, an ancient demon, and her new ally, Stefan Fox, a young Prodomenos, they have started a revolt, a rebellion. Hundreds, thousands of humans, of Prodomenos and even of Demons have turned their head and refused to no longer turn the other cheek to the abuse.

Not that this has made the Gods particularly happy. Many have come to walk amongst the mortals, most notably Artemis, as she works to regain her troops. Hecate also enjoys the mortal life, much to the fear of her Witch subjects.

However, in 2010, the USofA has begun a new term.

Democracy has been returned to the common person. A new political party named the New Reform was voted in,

Thicker Than Water is a brand new RP based off of the Percy Jackson Series- It takes place 10 years after the last book. We are currently looking for Nymphs, Satyrs, Centaurs, Cyclopes, Mortals, Gods, Demigods and even the Dead. We just started advertising this week so most of the cannons are open as well. If you have any questions feel free to pm me :D

THICKER THAN WATER
fate is given to you however you create your destiny
-----------------------------------------------

Seven half-bloods shall answer the call,
To storm or fire, the world must fall,
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.

The prophecy was given just ten years ago. Ten years ago Percy Jackson changed
the fate of half-bloods everywhere. They were all to be claimed and given a home at
Camp Half-Blood and the law of the big three was banished. With gods claiming their
children Camp Half-Blood has been busier than ever, and with a prophecy looming
over all of their heads, they have begun training.

On Olympus the gods are still squabbling over power and not all of them have been
happy with the turn of events. Some are choosing sides to make the lives of
demigods everywhere just a bit more challenging and others fear that a new dark
force is attempting to rise.

It is now up to you to discover your bloodline, take a stand and begin to prepare. Will
you find yourself the next great hero or maybe an even more powerful god? Will you
answer the call of Pan and help save the wild as a Nymph or Satyr? Or maybe join
the realm of cyclopses and begin work in the forges? Even a mortal might have a
thing or two to discover, but no matter what you choose your test is coming. Is your blood
