I wasn't sure exactly how to phrase this rant, but I just wanted to get my point across. You know those people... they're talking about 'blah blah blah'. You overhear some strangers, or even some acquaintances speak about it from a distance. Then, they say something either uninformed and stupid, or make assumptions that are just plain false. It's hard to explain this without examples, so I'll just use an example from a couple weeks ago.
More or less along these lines...

Kid 1: But oh my god only snowboards can go on it because it's so hard and you have to turn a lot, and skis can't do it for this.

A short while later...

Not the most powerful example, but you get what I mean. And most of the time, you usually don't say anything, silently fuming as they pretend to be so smart while they're actually just spewing lies. It's even worse when it's a subject that you know, well, a lot about. But, you know what I mean. Right? :D
