Title: Looking For Site Frendly To Despots...
Description: Anybody need an evil overlord?

Zorc - February 23, 2010 12:44 PM (GMT)
Genre: Any...so long as it fits my requirements.
Difficulty: No word counts would be great, though if you must have a word count I can deal with things in the 200-300 range. Anything more would be a tough sell.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Any
Preferred Rating: Any
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: A smaller site, perhaps just starting out would be great, since newer, smaller sites tend not to have established big bads, which is the roll I'm looking to fill eventually.
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Any

Other Notes: What I am looking for is rather simple, but difficult to find. I am looking for a site that is friendly to "evil overlord" types who have evil minions to do their bidding and such. In short, I am looking to play an evil character in a position of power who dose not have to answer to any higher ups. Now, this can be in any genera. On a RL site I could play a corrupt CEO or Mafia don. On a fantasy site I could be a tyrannical king of necromancer with a horde of undead. On a si-fi site I could be the royalty of an evil alien empire, or the evil CEO of a futuristic megacorp.

However, the most important thing is that I can play an evil character in a position of power that would have no higher-ups to answer to. That's what I am most looking for. The other important requirement I have is simply this: I want to be able to start off in power. I don't want to have to jump through hoops to be the evil overlord, I want to start off as the evil overlord. I know, that may be a tall order, but that's what I'm looking for. I want to play a character who already has power, not one who is trying to get there.

Also, I absolutely do not want mandatory play-bys, and while this may also be a tall order, I VERY MUCH SO prefer anime play bys to celebs. Though I can deal with celebs if you don't require me to claim a face.

Other then that, I'm not requiring anything else that was not mentioned already, so if you have a site that could use a despot or is frendly to them, post here...

Oh, and canon despots are fine too, so if you are in need of a canon big bad, feel free to post here as well. Though if you're a fandom site and I don't know the fandom well(and fandoms I don't know well include anything with Marvel and/or DC, just a heads up.) then I most likely won't join if you are posting because you need a canon villain from that fandom.

ottomadenedamotto - February 23, 2010 02:32 PM (GMT)
We've got plenty of room for evil overlords over at Star Wars: Darkness and Light! You can create any sort of character that you'd like, at any level of power. You are also welcome to create new content for our universe (such as organizations and technology.) You might play...

-A Sith Lord
-A corporate head honcho
-A planetary or regional autocrat
-A crimelord
-An anarchist

Or anything, really. Come and check us out. You'll love it.

Gossamer - February 23, 2010 02:57 PM (GMT)
Perhaps you would be interested in Marked? We are a modern fantasy/gifted roleplay that is set around, but not limited to a boarding school. We've got humans with powers, and the ability to create your own custom races, one of which could belong to a broad race of inherently evil beings. We've got no problem with Evil Overlord types of characters and would absolutely love some more villains. We have been open for a few months now, but only have a couple evil folks running around and nobody who has really established themselves yet.

Marked has no word count, and no preference on graphical style. With that said, 99% of our player base does still use celebrity play bys, but it is certainly not required.

Come and check us out!

The year is 2009 and Rochester Academy is opening its doors for the
first time. Its handpicked students are arriving from across the globe,
looking forward to, or perhaps even dreading the grand education their
parents have been promised. But is it just coincidence that every student
at this school is Marked?

They are humans with power and a long forgotten history, known only
by the tell-tale marks imprinted on their skin. The Marked had once
protected the world against other-wordly threats, Demons and Monsters
that are now believed to be nothing but childish stories and old myths.
But the Marked are rising once again, and some say the creatures of
darkness will soon follow.

AND THEY WERE MARKED

While I do like the starwars movies, I'm ot sure if I really want to RP it. I will have to think on it. As for marked, it really depends, after looking at your site I prefer it to star wars, but I see nothing about making your own race, or positions of power for that matter. My goal was to have a position of power and NOT have tlo be somebody's minion, so, I ask, what kind of positions of power do you allow, if any? However, I am leaning to marked more so then Darkness and Light, simply because the latter is starwars which means no anime play-bys and...well...having to follow a very strict canon, which is not really what I want.

Also, please excuse any spelling or grammer errors I have in this post, I am posting on a computer with absolutly no spell check function what so ever at the moment, so it's not that I'm being lazy it's just I have not the ability to spell/grammer check ATM.

Gossamer - February 23, 2010 09:01 PM (GMT)
I know we answered a bunch of your questions in our c-box, but I just wanted to respond to the "creation of your own races". We have some predefined subraces for the Half-Breeds and Daemos in the wiki, but to create your own, you simply define it in the application. It is that simple. :)

Any more information on that site? Just an add dose not say much. You have a leader for the Morari Cable it seams, so do you have any other spots for "evil overlords" that are NOT minion/underling/high ranking flunky but rather THE supreme leader? THE GUY ON THE TIPPY TOP? Because that was one of my requirements, that I can be in a position of power in which I am the HEAD GUY WHO ANSWERS TO NOBODY BUT HIMSELF....not the highest ranking flunky.

So, my question is, with the head of the Morari Cable taken, what NON MINION spots do you have left for an evil overlord?

ottomadenedamotto - February 24, 2010 03:34 AM (GMT)
Actually, I think you're jumping to conclusions about D&L. You are, in fact, allowed to use an anime play-by if you so desire, or no play-by at all. Also, the game is set in a time-period for which very little canon material exists, so you're not likely to be in danger of contradicting it.

Please keep that in mind while you make your decision.

Zorc - February 24, 2010 03:52 AM (GMT)
True, but that dose not change the fact that it is still star wars, which in and of itself is a very limiting canon, whether or not it takes place during a well documented part of the timeline. Basically, Star Wars means that only Jedi and Sith will have super-powers, and Sith on your site are en empire, which means that anybody short of the Dark Lord of the sith is a MINION, and one of my requirements is that I would not play a minion, even a high ranking one. And the sith are the only real villains in Star Wars that have any impact. Every single villain in that canon who is not a Sith is a minor evil like Jabba the Hutt or somebody else's minion like General Grevious, and on your site, EVERY Sith is a minion as well. This means my character WILL=minion or minor threat, which is not what I want at all.

Simply put, the Star Wars setting makes so every new villain of any consequence who joins your site will be a minion, not the master, and that's what is the real turnoff for me.

I mean, if you where original si-fi, then I would love the place, but the fact the Star Wars setting holds so much baggage with it means any non sith villain is basically insignificant/a minor evil who has VERY LITTLE OR EVEN NO POWER WHAT SO EVER OVER THE SETTING, and I want significant power over the setting, not just a small, insignificant sphere of influence localized to one planet.

That's not even discussing the other major issue of non-sith not even having superpowers, which are VITAL to an evil overlord on a "superpowered" site.

Sorry, I have nothing against you or the site, but the setting is just far to limiting in positions of power you can hold.

The Moirae Cabal is a large and dominant criminal organization, yes, but that doesn't necessarily make them evil. If you wanted to make something downright dastardly, you could submit a new faction of your own design and then designate your character as it's leader.

Open encyclopedia is a marvelous thing. =)

ottomadenedamotto - February 24, 2010 08:18 PM (GMT)
I'm not looking to get into a debate here, honestly. I don't have anything against you and I really hope you find the game you're looking for, but you're making assumptions about my game which simply aren't true and posting them here for anyone to assume that they are entirely factual. For the benefit of any potential player who comes across this thread, I'd like to briefly clear a few of those up.

QUOTE
Basically, Star Wars means that only Jedi and Sith will have super-powers

While the canon material does focus on the Jedi and the Sith as the primary users of the Force, there are many groups and individuals who are entirely capable of using the Force and not in any way affiliated with either the Jedi or the Sith. Said persons frequently have just as much potential to become powerful as members of the big-name factions.

QUOTE
every new villain of any consequence who joins your site will be a minion, not the master... any non sith villain is basically insignificant/a minor evil who has VERY LITTLE OR EVEN NO POWER WHAT SO EVER OVER THE SETTING

Assuming that this hypothetical new villain is a Sith (which we certainly do not require of Dark-Side Force users,) practitioners of the Sith traditions do not necessarily have to be loyal to the Sith Empire. We already have at least one powerful Sith Lord who is neither a vassal of the Emperor, nor a resident of the Empire. It's entirely reasonable in both the canon and my game that an unaffiliated Force user, non-Force user, or completely legitimate Dark Lord of the Sith (above whom there is no master) might grab a chunk of the Galaxy, field an army, and become a more powerful individual than the leader of any existing faction. Consider the Yuuzhan Vong, for example. This species was entirely cut off from the Force and nearly obliterated the New Republic.

If you don't want to play my game, that is perfectly fine with me, but please don't slander it.

Zorc - February 24, 2010 10:44 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry if you misunderstood me. I was not slandering your game. I was simply giving reasons why I felt the canon of starwars was not mailable to big villains who control large empires. However, I was not aware that your game did not follow the canon and allowed for Sith that have no ties to the empire. I assumed that all Sith HAD to be in the Empire. Also, I knew about non-Jedi/sith force users, but they are usually HORRIDLY weak compared to Jedi and Sith, hence why I did not really mention them. From what I know of the canon, those who use the force without Jedi or Sith training can only be "force adapts" who are significantly weaker when compared to the Jedi and Sith, though if I am wrong, correct me please. (I am going by the starwars RPG and movies, since I have never read any of the novels, so from what I know of the canon, Jedi/Sith > Force adapts. However, if there are non Jedi/Sith force users in the novels who can stand toe to toe with a Jedi or Sith in terms of force mastery, please tell me.)

So, I am sorry if I sounded slanderous. That was not my intent. I realize now that I came off in the completely wrong way for what I was trying to say. I am also sorry for assuming you followed the canon to the letter. I am just used to canon sites, being, well.....canon, but I know that's no excuse. I really did not mean any spit towards you or your site, but I have trouble phrasing things sometimes. It's just an issue I have due to having Asburger's syndrome. Sometimes, things come out wrong. I really don't think your site sucks, and I feel that it's a wonderful place, just not exactly what I am looking for. But when I made that post, I did not realize how harsh it sounded. Looking back at it, I realize that It's not the exact message I was trying to convey, and I feel like such an idiot for it. Trying to slander your site was the LAST thing in my head when I was typing that post, please believe me.

However, there is no excuse for the assumptions, so I am again sorry about thinking and claiming that your site runs by the canon without even bothering to do my research.

I hope that you can forgive me for my stupidity and failure to communicate.

ottomadenedamotto - February 25, 2010 12:11 AM (GMT)
That's not at all how I think of it, but don't worry about a thing. Maybe I got a little riled up because I thought I saw my baby getting attacked, lol. As I said before, I don't have anything against you and I sincerely hope you find the game you're looking for. If you happen to change your mind, you're more than welcome to join us. You'd find that we do follow the canon, but aren't limited by it.

{THEY ARE EARTH'S FIRST CONTACT}
and they cannot remain a secret

In September of 2009, after the Fallen’s worldwide broadcast and the destruction of one of the world’s most well known landmarks, the United States government could no longer hide the presence of the Transformers from the public. At a meeting of the United Nations, with camera crews from different countries all around the world covering the event, the Autobots were revealed to the world. Needless to say, many reacted with fear and hostility towards the first alien contacts of Earth. Though when nineteen year old Sam Witwicky stood up to share how he had met the Autobots, some came to understand, while others continued to remain hostile.

In light of this revelation, two groups were formed: the no-bots and the pro-bots. Despite reassurances from the government, many people joined the no-bot movement in an attempt to get the Autobots expelled from Earth. The no-bots, formed by widower Abigail Warner, whose husband was one of those killed at the battle of Egypt. With where her husband worked and who with finally revealed, she blamed them. If they had just left Earth after their All Spark thingamajig was destroyed, her husband would still be alive. In his memory, she leads the group in the effort for the Autobots to be removed from the planet. Though the no-bot movement does have some opposition, led by none other than former secretary of defense John Keller. He knows that the Autobots are good and travels around the country trying to convince people that the Autobots are not the monsters that the no-bot members believe them to be.

Even with all this tension, life begins to move on for Sam Witwicky, though now thingshave changed drastically. He returned to Princeton University two weeks after the UN broadcast and found things to be vastly different. He was now the center of attention on campus, but thankfully he has Mikaela and Bumblebee there to pull him away when the attention gets to be too much. But aside from a busy school schedule, Sam now has other duties to perform for when he reached to pick up the Matrix of Leadership, it flared to life at his touch. That can only mean one thing, Optimus is no longer the only Prime. The Matrix only reacts to the touch of a Prime and after being revived by the ancient Primes in Egypt, Sam is one. What does this mean for him? It means that he is now an ambassador between the humans and the Autobots and the government has officially awarded him the title of liaison, which means he is pulled out of school every so often.

As for the Decepticons, for now they are quiet, which has the Autobots and members of N.E.S.T. worried. The quiet is the calm before the storm, for while Magatron and his forces are repaired, they are planning something. What is unknown, but when it happens, what side will you be on? The pro-bot movement with John Keller? Or will you follow the no-bot movement in an effort to get the Autobots to leave the planet? Lines will be drawn. Which side of this new divide will you chose?

Do you mean Movie Megatron or Magmatron from Beast Wars the Second/the comics in movie form? Either way, you have my interest, since I am a transformers fan and would be interested in playing either of those characters.

Interesting, I may consider the TF site, as for the anime high school site, it looks interesting, but what positions of power do you offer? Corrupt headmaster? Or do you allow for true evil overlords with minions and such?

rainbowrosepetals - March 1, 2010 06:20 PM (GMT)
My Own Shadow is a modern fantasy roleplay with an optional school/university for gifted and supernatural characters. We allow ordinary humans, gifted ones, lycans, demons, dragons, vampires, djinn, faeries, and half-breeds as character options. Our members are on and posting every day, and though we seem to have many, our members are very fond of making multiple accounts. We have around 20 actual members, as detailed in our Who's Who List, though not all of our members chose to be listed there. We have no word count, asking only that you write more than one line; we understand that sometimes you might have writer's block and we don't believe in slamming our doors shut to anyone. After all, roleplaying is all about having fun!

When I saw you request the ability to roleplay an evil overlord, I swear my heart skipped a beat, hehe. Yes, you can start off with a lot of power! Yes, you can be at the tippy-top of the food chain, with your own minions! You can start your own organization, whatever you want, as long as it fits within our world; Necromancy, unfortunately, won't work in our rp-verse. I'd love it if you could be a lycan or a dragon (!), as their species don't have any sort of evil overlords or anything right now. Maybe if you make a big enough statement, we can even have people make roleplayable characters to cause trouble for your evil overlord!

We'd love it if you'd check us out! If you need to contact me on My Own Shadow, my account name is Kirien Melantha.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land...

A group of men discovered an ancient Artifact that granted them mysterious powers. They could suddenly fly, or burn objects at will, or heal wounds instantly. They called their new-found powers "Gifts," and were the first of the Gifted Ones.

The discovery of their superhuman abilities brought the Gifted Ones closer, and for some time they were happy to leave the world behind and learn from each other. But with their great power came much pressure, and they began to fight. Some insisted that they live in secrecy, hiding their powers from the ordinary world. Others insisted they speak out, using their powers for the benefit of mankind. A minority even believed they should reign over humanity as Gods.

As the Gifted Ones quarreled, the beings of the supernatural world began to emerge from hiding. Faeries, demons, lycans, vampires, dragons, and even the elusive djinn felt threatened by the Gifted Ones' foolish displays of power. Many demanded the men be executed. War seemed imminent.

Four of the Gifted Ones stepped forward with a solution: they would create a secret training facility where they would practice controlling their Gifts. No ordinary human was ever to know of its existence. The supernaturals agreed to this compromise and some even joined The Academy themselves, to learn from the Gifted Ones, to make sure they didn't cause any trouble, or to practice their own abilities.

The Academy flourished, and the supernaturals gradually came to accept the Gifted Ones. To this day, their descendants come from all over the world attend The Academy. The Artifact, however, has not been seen nor heard of since its original finding.

In modern times...

A Corporation of scientists discovered the secret world, analyzing the blood of Gifted Ones they kidnapped to unveil the mysteries behind their magnificent powers. With the help of one of their Gifted prisoners, they infiltrated The Academy, kidnapping students for experimentation.

For unknown reasons, The Academy seemed unwilling to come to the aid of their students. Students and tutors alike were outraged by their negligence, and began to riot. The Academy's attempts to restore order went awry, and many of the school's inhabitants were injured or killed. A group of rebels left to attack The Corporation and retrieve the kidnapped students. Their efforts were successful, though The Corporation's Director escaped. His current whereabouts are unknown.

For defying their orders, the Academy branded the rebels dangerous and hunted them in order to "bring them to justice," but soon after they had a mysterious change of heart. While the rebels were punished, The Academy fired those responsible for the casualties during the riot, and now seems to be under new management.

Meanwhile...

The ordinary humans may not be as unaware of the secret world as one might think. The American government formed a secret military branch called "The Shadow Police," who exist to investigate possible supernatural occurrences. Rumor has it that they have just made contact with a Gifted One.

And recently, young American vampires are being forced to hide from the many eyes of the Breseis Coven, a group of radical vampires that believe those newly turned are a threat that must be exterminated. Their presence in the United States is new, but their roots are ancient and their wrath fearsome indeed.

There is more to this world than it seems. Almost enough to make you fear your own shadow...

Zorc - March 2, 2010 11:46 AM (GMT)
Interesting site, I may consider it, but I want to see what else I get first.

Did you ever watch the Power Rangers and think "Huh, If I was Rita Repulsa I would just send the monster down giant sized and step on Ernie's Juice Bar while the Rangers are inside!"

Be the better villain! We could actually really use one and he won't have to answer to anyone if he doesn't want to! No knowledge of Power Rangers is needed. In fact, we would much rather you not be like any of those villains as we want our villains to be...well villainous.

Power Rangers Evolution!

We have a cozy spot for an Evil Overlord to slip right into! Yay Elder Evils! We've only been open less than a week and minions should be relatively easy to come by! They just need someone to serve!

Captain Backfire - March 7, 2010 09:41 AM (GMT)
We might be what you're looking for... Though just starting out, I already have an amazing small group of members. :)

The Plot

Nightmares resurrect in the shadows of memories that those who have visited the hellish Silent Hill have tried to forget. The festering spirit of Dahlia Gillespie was given human form once again by the other realm of the town that took so many lives in hopes to bring back 'God'. Her purpose? To bring back Heather, who was originally fated to be the bearer of God, and manifest her army of evil minions for the army of Silent Hill.

Meanwhile, the spirit of Alessa still stirs, unable to allow her soul a peaceful rest with her mother's plans taking hold of the town once again. She in turn summons the memories of her detached soul, Heather, and resurrects the spirits of all those in Heather's memories who'd already faced the treacherous pits of the Silent Hill. Harry, her father. Travis Grady and Douglas Cartland.

Knowing the town itself has always lived and breathed, Alessa mustered the strength within her to summon and bring back all those who had been and fallen within the town. James Sunderland. A man driven by guilt for the murder of his wife... by his own doing, lured back by the last words his wife left for him...haunting him.

He's only an example; there are so many others, all with their own story to tell, and with their own demons to fight. The large group of people is not an asset however, unfortunately with each person who enters, the dark forces grow stronger and with every regret and every dirty secret that stirs deep within these people, there is a consequence waiting for it in Silent Hill. The demons that dwell within them give the town more power, causing it's hell to become blacker than ever before.

Which side will you choose? Fight for the lives of others, and bringing the town back to it's beauty? Or allowing your soul to succumb to 'Gods' will, and with it, losing yourself completely. The opportunities are endless!

Restless Dreams?

You’re highly welcome to play an “evil overlord” in our new site wide plot ((please click). There’s a high security compound known as The Zoanthrope Liberation Front (ZLF), where a team of scientists are doing tests on willing and unwilling test subjects. They've found a cure to zoanthropy called ZH-969, but it is unstable and in some cases brutally and painfully kills the zoans. You could always play the evil head of ZLF with the scientists working beneath you?

In addition, we have zoanthrope leaders who are powerful “master alpha” shape shifters (more information here - see middle post). Unfortunately, we don’t have any vacancies at the moment, but that may change very soon. ;)

Also, I absolutely do not want mandatory play-bys, and while this may also be a tall order, I VERY MUCH SO prefer anime play bys to celebs. Though I can deal with celebs if you don't require me to claim a face.

Face claims are not mandatory. You’re welcome to use anime and drawings. :)

Zoanthropes Must…

Not infect humans.
Or face a lawsuit, which would result in staggeringly high legal fees. Nine out of ten cases result in the shifter paying the victim compensation.

Keep their animalism secret.
Or face a fine or prison sentence.

Pay a yearly five hundred pounds zoanthrope tax.
Or have their house, furniture, apartment, etc repossessed.

Obey the law.
Or face a life sentence. The more serious offenses (rape and murder) can lead to execution.

In addition, zoanthrope leaders must prevent their kind (including Rogues) from committing crimes.
Or else they must pay a hefty fine.

Zorc, I have moved your request to Character Offered, because you have a specific character in mind and therefore it fits this forum much better than Requesting RPG. Please edit your first post to put the form required in this forum in -- I would've done it for you, but I thought I should give you the opportunity to include your information.

Thank you!

Just read your request and it sounds like you'll fit in quite well at my site. There are currently only two members, me and a role play friend of mine. Anime play-by's are allowed as its a post-Naruto RP and it also allows custom Uchiha. The ranks you'd be looking at could be either a missing nin or a kage of some sort. Plot and link are below.

It all started with a dream. A dream to be Hokage, Little did he know that hat very dream would lead him to beat an organisation by the name of Akatsuki at the age of fifteen or to defeating Pain at that same age. Soon after his seventeenth birthday Naruto was given the title of Hokage for his accomplishments in battle, his heart, his drive to never back down, and for bringing his ex-rival (Sasuke Uchiha) back to the village after an epic battle that scarred the land forever, Not only did he become the Hokage when he was seventeen but he also began dating Sakura Haruno. A couple of years later the couple married.

Naruto lived in a peaceful world for twenty three years. Together him and Sakura had two kids. Until one day he was assassinated while he was doing his paperwork. The whole of Konoha was furious at his death yet the new Hokage refused to retaliate as they couldn’t afford to wage a war against any of the villages unless they had proof that it was a certain village.

Two hundred years have passed since Naruto’s death and the Kyuubi now resides within one of his descendants, a twenty six year old woman named Yuki Uzumaki-Uchiha. Twenty years ago the fourth ninja war broke out. Several destines will be realised in this time of war especially that of a young group of Genin. Kaito Uchiha, Daisuke Uchiha (Uzumaki), and Aimi Tsurugi.

Not only has the world been tossed into chaos but some members of the Uchiha clan are secretly gathering to over throw the current Hokage and their fellow Clan member, Jiro Hatake. How will this war turn out? Will peace rein again in the world of shinobi? How much longer will the war last? How many more innocent civilians will lose their lives? Only time will tell...

I have a few characters on my site that might suit you.

The first is a character called Master Scrag. I am currently playing as this character, but would give it up to someone else (since I took over the character for a member who no longer posts)

http://opiateforthemasses.proboards.com/in...play&thread=377

That character is the head of the religion which rules the world in my RPG, so, everyone who is a part of that religion would respect and take orders from him.

(However, the religion is to some degree kept in check by the World Economic Council, which uses the religion to meet its own ends. However, it is still a respected character with a lot of power..)

Another character is Lin Sat, who is the head of a Chinese business, is secretly a powerful demon, and is secretly the head of a rebel communist organization. (He has power in the world through his wealth and would have direct control of a small rebel organization. He OWNS parts of Northern China and Korea as well...) No one is currently playing this character.

I think that those two would be the best choices of pre-made characters that have a lot of individual power...but there is also room for new characters ...at least those who run businesses...

Greetings,

I don't know if you have found a site yet but I have one that may work for you.

I would like to introduce you to Legends of Nor'Ova. We are a dark fantasy RP with some mild forms of technology thrown in. I won't give you a whole spill here, simply because I want you to come and take a look lol.

Here's the thing, this is a dark fantasy RP with the dark god having taken a mortal form and spreading his rule over the known world. But the setting has so much room for other evil lords to run rampant but what most are tending to play are the 'heroes'. The very few who are playing the side of evil (besides myself) don't seem to really go all out. Maybe you can change this hmmm?

Now, as I hinted to earlier, yes there is already a massive evil overlord. I mean you can't really get even eviler or more powerful than being the dark evil god of the world in a mortal form. So yeah your character may not be over him, but that doesn't mean your character would really be under anyone right? Praying to the dark god and serving as the dark god's minion are two totally different things after all.

We are very flexible with ideas and encourage the creation of new ideas as well as the expansion and improvement of existing information. Our Encyclopedia NorOva is editable by our members, allowing you to add to it as desired. So if you don't like a race that is offered, make a new one. No problem, and several members have done this. You can identify which of the races were created by our members because they have (Member Submitted) next to their names.

Being powerful is no issue either AS LONG AS it doesn't go into being a god. Basically, you have to have a weakness, and there has to be a way for your character to be killed, but it can be a near impossibility.

Anyways, come check us out. Maybe this will be the perfect fit for your evil warlord, maybe it won't. Never know though until you at least take a look ;) .

Sorry, that last site is not for me. Praying to a dark God IS serving them, in my book, so sorry, you don't meet my qualifications.

Do you have any qualms about playing in game based boards? Mine is based off the Devil May Cry mythos, though expanded upon to include many more supernatural baddies than just Devils, we add more races as players think them up, and would LOVE an official bad guy player to concoct evil schemes and such.

Also, we're non canon, and feature solely Original characters only. Plus, we're new as heck!

(Prologue)( ----------------)(Rules)(-------------)(FAQ)(------------)(Apply)

Twelve years ago Sid, a low level Demon, attempted to harness the sealed Devil Lord Abigail's powers so that he could conquer both the Human and Demon Worlds for himself. Were it not for the actions of one 'man', the Devil Hunter Dante, the world would have fallen into the hands of unspeakable Evil.

Yet Abigail's power was not completely sealed on that fateful day...

Abigail was not like other Devils. His Evil was so great, His will so powerful, that even the most skilled Alchemists could not control Him, but only bind him within the Demon world where He could not harm Humans. However, in the short time that Sid had possession of the Demon Lord's power, its vile influence drew the two worlds closer than they've ever been to each other. While the Impish Sid failed to raze the world to ashes, he had succeeded in creating an event of such magnitude, it altered the Human world immensely.

The Demonwave Affect.

In the end, it took incredible amounts of power to seal away Abigail's stolen form. The resulting backlash unleashed a surge of Demon majik that spread across the world. Activating ancient and mysterious relics. Reopening the doors to the Demon realm, the Hell Gates. And, causing the infamous tower, Temen-Ni-Gru, to rise once more out of the Earth.

While the more powerful Devil Kings are still unable to cross over onto the Human plane, less powerful Demons can now walk the Earth, no longer bound in the shadows, to do their master's bidding for them and in far greater numbers than before. Vampires have emerged, taking over small towns and cities, feasting on the weak. Beasts, ruled by the Full Moon's sway, wreak havoc in the night. Monsters and Fiends of all sorts now emerge into Man's world, no longer keeping their existence a secret.

And, in some, strange abilities emerge... casting doubt into their hearts as to their true roles in this world...

Mankind, no longer protected by His blissful ignorance, is forced to acknowledge the danger these creatures pose to it's existence. Humanity can now only rely on its one and only weapon in the war against the Demon plague. Devil Hunters. A new generation of Nightstalkers emerge, stepping forward to combat the growing population of Devils. They are Mankind's last hope to preserve itself.

Still, even as these brave few rid the world of Devils, more emerge every day to take their place. The Hordes of Hell continue to breach the boundaries of this world, continue to reach out for flesh from the darkness. Their numbers grow with each passing hour. Devil Hunters wage an endless, perhaps hopeless battle.

And, the question on everyone's minds: Can It Be Won?

I like game based RPs, if I know the game and like the canon. Unfortunately, I have never played any game in the devil may cry series and have no desire at all to RP in that canon. If you where say a mother/earthbound site I would be on right on board, but because you're based on a game canon I don't really like all that much/have no feelings about, I'm sorry but you're not for me.

No prob, dude. Good luck in yer search! :p
