Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I figured I could put this out there for debate.

I'm pretty sure the higher-ups of this forum are aware that a little option appeared in the Admin Control Panel some time ago regarding this.

Now I know lots of the people here might be opposed to it... The entire reason I'm posting this is because very time I log onto this forum, I'm disappointed at the lack of features it has to offer.


So I ask... Does RPG Directory plan to ever convert to Zetaboards? or did I miss the day half the board got involved in that topic?

I'm pretty sure i remember seeing this quite a long time ago, though i'm not sure if it was in the general forum or the staff area, but the general consensus was that we weren't going to if i remember correctly. :)

plus i don't think rpg-d really NEEDS to convert. if we've gotten 16000+ members using invisionfree then i'd say people are pretty happy with sticking to that software. not to mention it'd be a hell of a lot harder to make any custom skins for it, considering how much coding there is.

We have seriously considered it when we heard that Zetaboards was made, we made a test board when it was still in it's beta stages, we asked members. And eventually came to the conclusion that it was better to stick to IF.

This does not mean we will never move. I still want to make it a reality that RPGD will move off this free forum host in the future. But its better done once we have grown even bigger, due to the hosting we'd need for RPGD (loads of members, thus bandwidth). If that happens, we will likely move to IPB software.

I don't have any huge problems with Invisionfree, it's just that ever since I've started using Zetaboards, It''s all I've wanted to use...

I do like Zetaboards too, I used it in the past, but there are other good free forum softwares too. I'd still rather move to IPB in the future though XD. That would be a major improvement *nods*.
