So, I am sure you all have heard the news. You have heard the craziness going on about the release of the Sony Play Station 3 and the Nintendo Wii. So, what're your thoughts on what has been going on and when do you predict it will all stop? I mean, as much as I want a PS3, I am going to have to wait a while seeing that people are going insane about them. But yes, I plan on getting a PS3 after all the madness :happy:

I've already got the Wii, along with three different games. Twilight Princess, of course, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, and a game that my brother wanted that I'm not going to say here. (Shh.) :clown: I'll be getting a XBox 360 and PS3 waaay later. I'm set for now, seeing how I got the Wii on its release date~ Love it!

I think the madness will be going on for a while, maybe two weeks at the most. The 360 had some level of madness, too, and now look at it... I don't think anyone cares as much anymore. :)

Yah. I'll by the Wii when Nintendo comes out with something else.

I just bought a PS2. So what, I'm a little behind :D I prefer the computer XD

Although I don't play video games often, I think the PS3 will change that XD

I sold my GameCube on Sat. seeing I don't play it anymore and because Nintendo doesn't have many Teen or Mature rated games. Hopefully the Wii will :]

Mm, I'm sort of out of the loop. My beau just got the Wii last night - he is very excited at least. Went camping to the opening and everything - and everyone was really nice there, too. No shoot outs like the PS3 had. o.O

Personally I won't spend my money on any of it - until I see some games that are worth playing. Its like the companies have spent so much time focusing on "OH MY GOSH WE HAVE TO BEAT THAT OTHER DUDE OVER THERE 'CAUSE THEIR GRAPHICS LOOK MORE GRAPHICAL!" that they don't make any good games. Except for Twilight Princess, of course. <3 We weren't able to get that one - it is sold out in Austin, peeps. XD

I want the Wii more than PS3 'cause it's cheaper, but if PS3 were cheaper, I'd get it first, probably. I'd hate to buy the Wii and have it suck since I have such fond memories of the NES and SNES XD.

Where I live, the PS3s sold out in under five minutes at most stores. That's crazy. I want one, like I said, but I'm going to wait until it's NOT 600+ dollars, thanks.

And the commercials kinda scare me. o_o;

I'm not really into the game consoles, really. Other than the usual Neverwinter Nights, Command & Conquer and such, I'm not much of a gamer, actually. My brother has an X-Box, though, and the only games I enjoyed on that so far are Fable and Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds.

He used to own a GameCube, on which I played Harvest Moon into the early hours of the night, but he sold that without telling me. Even though the game had been mine. Oh well.

The only reason I'd want to get the X-Box 360 is for the game Assasin's Creed. That game is just the most kick ass out there. Definitely.

The Wii is amazing. Hehe, Trauma Center is great even though so far it's been playing out like the DS version, and Twilight Princess is like...durh, of course it's the best~ The Wii also came with a WiiSports game which really shows off the remote and nunchuk's motion sensitivity. I might sound like a catalog or something, but it's really the next step in reality gaming.

Yeah, that game that I wasn't mentioning was that same DBZ game... My brother loves it; it's super active. Since we only have one remote and nunchuk, I have to play against him on a GC controller. Kind of limiting when you've got your older brother doing all this crazy shiz.

Though I am a huge fan of video games, I have to agree with LettuceMermaid. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have all come out with terrific systems with all the hardware one could imagine, but they are putting too much focus on the consoles themselves rather than the games. The prices for the systems are a little more than outrageous, and the games are not getting enough attention. Graphics really are all these companies have on their mind; its really quite difficult to find a full-out good game with storyline and the appearance to catch your attention.

I'm the most excited about the Playstation 3 mainly because I find that our of the three systems, Playstation has always had the better games. Nintendo's games have always seemed a little more childish to me than Xbox and Playstation games, and Xbox doesn't interest me at all. PS3 is super expensive, so I probably won't be getting it for a while. But I will have a PS3.

I think the maddness is crazy!!!

Im not really a gamer person, but I do like to play xbox 360, I REALLY want the viva pinata game, I know its a little childish, but so is neopets and I love that. X3

Has anyone heard about the error with the PS3s? Some have been breaking after 30 minutes of play. I'll see if I can find the link.

Oh yeh, I'm gonna kill anyone here who has a Wii and steal there's since I'm probably never gonna be able to buy one. For some reason all stores were sold out first day.

PS3 may or may not bomb. They won't do the best this round, and they know it. Either the Wii or the XBox360 will do the best, since the Wii is a new way of gaming (plus massive launch numbers) and the XBox360 has already been out.

I am officially going to get a fricken Wii. I will bet anyone that it will be the winner of the newest generation of consoles.

I have pre-ordered my Wii (it doesn't come out here til dec)

But I have a bias coz I'm a Nintendo Fan Girl ^^;

But i think it's better anyway, and more interactive and fun for the whole family.

My whole family is into the whole camping out thing.

And camp out we did. For both the pre order and release date.

As a result we got 7 wii's and 2 PS3's.

all to make a profit, which we have.

*sigh* and we're going to do it again this sunday because every store is supposed to get a new stock of Wii's.

Woot! I am getting an XBox360 pretty soon. It was either that or the Wii, but not bashing the Wii because I love the Wii as well, but 360 has more games that would fit my mood right now. But I do plan on getting a Wii before Resident Evil: Umbrella Cronicles comes out.

Once the price for PS3 goes down, I will get it as well. :p

I favorite the Xbox 360 right now. Once the PS3 comes out with some good exclusive games, I shall most likely buy that as well

I'm waiting to see if any of the games the newer conseles offer are of my liking. I'm short of money, sadly, so I have to dose them carefully. Besides, I've still a couple of games for the PS2 I want to buy...

Halo 3 looks pretty impressive from the looks of things.

I'm still with the Xbox 360, no matter what. I don't hate the Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 3, but just feel Microsoft offers a lot more to gamers.

There's Xbox Live, which is completely amazing. Playing Halo 3 on Xbox Live is amazing, so that alone could win it for the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 has more mature games at that. And the graphics - amazing. :]

I own a N64, a Game Cube and a PS2.
Mostly because my dad and I are TIGHT when it comes to video games XD
...It's a pity I left them at home though. =/
SPEAKING OF PS2... I just want to put it out there that KINGDOMHEARTS is the best game ever.

I've heard that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet and Clank: Future are good.

You can't really go wrong with Guitar Hero 3, Unreal Tournament 3, and Rock Band, either.

Upcoming releases include Devil May Cry 4 and Littlebigplanet.

The PS3 is slowly building its library... but if you want some high quality gaming now, the 360 is where it's at.
