Title: Online Journals
Mortal - October 26, 2006 03:28 AM (GMT)
Xanga, LiveJournal, DeadJournal, MySpace (to some degree...), Blogspot, etcetera... All online journal type stuff. Anyone here have one, or has had one ever? And if you did, what did you mainly use it for? I used to use a Xanga a lot, when that was more of a fad two years ago. More recently, I've used a LiveJournal, but I never keep up with it and all that I used it for were for downloading Degrassi episodes and doing random roleplaying. :P:
Now, though, I don't do the whole online journal thing. I might go ahead and get a new LiveJournal someday, since I always have something new to type everyday (same with talking, too, sometimes I can't shut up ). That'd have to be a while, though...maybe a good blog site instead. :):

I have a Xanga which I used to write in regularly, for about 2 years. Only a couple of my friends had them though. Then Facebook took over, so I abandoned it. I do have a 'secret xanga' which I just kind of write whatever in.
I've never had a Livejournal, but I like it better than Xanga.

I never quite get the grasp of these online journal things... I registered under my space and gave up on it… I suppose I’m an old fogy

I have a livejournal that I use all the time. Outside of usual journaling, my friends and I usually use it to post funny quizzes or pictures, but we also use it to communicate since none of us are phone people and we know we'll all see it.
I have a Myspace, but I don't use it much, simply because I can accomplish what I might want to do there (post pictures, contact friends, etc.) on livejournal. Though I do use Myspace to listen to music. ^_^

I've got a Greatest Journal, better and simpler than Myspace and Live Journal combined. I'm quite happy with it. Though, I do have a Myspace I use for celebrity access reasons.

I just got a livejournal but I still have to make a layout and actually type stuff in it. Which sounds exhausting so meh. I don't have any other journal/blod though. i might get a xanga one day though...

I have a Livejournal, Blogspot journal, two Myspaces, and possibly even some more online journals I've forgotten about. I only use Livejournal for the communities. Myspace is used to check up on my friends and occasionally leave comments. I just can't really be bothered with an online journal. I don't even know why I sign up for them. Maybe I'm just cautious. I just stick to my notebook/journal. It's harder for people to get to.

I've got so many different online journals. The majority of which I created and then forgot about. I do have 2 livejournals though. One I update much more frequently than the other. I use my LJs mainly to keep up with communities and a few friends or to just vent when needed. I also have a myspace which I'm gradually loosing interesti in, but then again that doesn't take much because I wasn't really interested in it to begin with. I had an xanga years back, but never really did anything with it.
Ugh, I apolagize for any typos. I can't see what I'm typing over this giant pumpkin. x_o

I have a MySpace, but it's soley so I can access band pages and listen to their songs before buying the album. XD No one knows of it's existence, heh.
I also have a livejournal, which I use more often. I update it occasionally, but I mostly use it to keep track of communites and fanfiction. =]
Sorry for typos! I can't see what I'm typing and I'm too lazy to highlight. XD

My one and only online journal type thing is Facebook. I had a Xanga, but I never really did anything with it. Facebook is amazing, and is a big thing in my school and the East Coast, though it's spreading quickly.

I have livejournal, but I don't have any friends in real life that have it. I still love to use it, though.
I also have a myspace. I'm starting to use that more, because tons of my friends have it.
I tried Xanga once, but it was a while ago. If I remember correctly, I hated it.

I have a xanga and a livejournal although I don't think I've posted anything on my xanga in like a year. Even posting on livejournal is sporadic. I also have a facebook account although I almost never go on their either.
other_echoes - December 29, 2007 08:30 PM (GMT)
Things like Myspace and Facebook really don't interest me at all, so I never bothered making accounts there x_X I've got a Livejournal account though, have for a few years now... but that's used for checking out fic/tutorial communities that I'm interested in.
Rhi-Rhi - December 29, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
I have a deadjournal and a greatestjournal, though I never use those anymore. I also have a myspace, but I don't use it for blogging and rarely check it.
I have livejournal which I use and love, though. <3 It has better communities than greatestjournal and deadjournal and less cliquey people. Plus like...all my friends and online friends have livejournal. x3
Disdainful Soul - December 30, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
My main blogging platform is wordpress, which runs off of one of my domains, and that blog automatically crossposts over to my livejournal.
Generally I use livejournals for communities etc - I'm a member of image and roleplaying communities. I like to hang around bad_rpers_suck etc.

I have... everything.
No, seriously. I have a (few) Xanga, a (few) LiveJournal, a MySpace, a Facebook. And,
um, well. That's not everything. But still. I don't even use them anymore. It's terrible, the
way I keep making new ones because I got fed up with my username. Kind of stupid,
really. Ah, well. It doesn't matter. I'm not in the habit of writing about myself, anyways.

I always create Livejournals and then quit a few months later.
It's a great release being able to tell strangers your problems. But now I use my RP OOC threads for that. (:
Euphoria - January 3, 2008 03:55 PM (GMT)
I tried Blogger, Livejournal, Wordpress and Diaryland. Now I'm hosting my own blog. =\ I still keep my Livejournal, but only for selling and buying stuff purposes.
Sierra - January 3, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
I have a myspace, and an MSN space (and a host of other things, but the subject is about weblogging right? XD) When I was younger I used to write in both a lot, in an attempt to keep a journal, but as i got older, I never really made the time to continue it, or really saw the purpose. So i just stopped.
Tigscat X - January 4, 2008 03:09 PM (GMT)
I do, though I don't update it as frequently as some of my friends.
I did use a Wordpress on my own webspace. It's was awesome, but there were some problems so I took it down. Good job I didn't add anything new.
But to be honest, I'm not that much of a blogger.
Panda - January 5, 2008 06:56 PM (GMT)
I doooooo. I have a livejournal and I love it to bits. Mostly it's a scrapbook. I chuck in bits of everything and most of it is disjointed and doesn't make sense to anyone but me. I keep thinking about making it friends only, but I'm a lazy sod and honestly? I kind of like having an unknown audience. I've never aspired to be one of those people with a soap box who go out of their way to gather up as many readers as possible. My LJ is for my random brain-vomit and people may or may not read it.
They also may or may not be offended because I censor very little.
