Short Info about the Board:
Apocalyse Theory is a thoroughly original board. Me and my two other staff members made the Religion, Government and Society from scratch from a vague idea we had at a previous roleplaying board. It's fantasy-myth based and recommended for Intermediate/Advanced Role-players.
Fexoes. The World. The place where the Gods, called the Octate, smile upon. Its people florish, the ancient monsters pushed back to the Outlands by its civilized people, namely the powerful Faethy Empire, led by the young Benevolt III, called the Strong in his Youth. All the world's at peace, and an age of exploration, an age of science and the mind, an age of advancing the race of Man. But even Fexoes has its secrets.
Two thousand years ago, a great evil, the ninth Goddess called Naoko, sought to destroy her Brothers and Sisters, and save the whole of existence by destroying it. She almost succeeded, pushing back the combined Octate, but was betrayed, at the last moment by her lover, now called the Divine Traitor, and sent into a deep sleep. No one knows what became of the Traitor, but betraying his lover and his heart, it is known that he died on the inside.
That much is known. It is also known that, before the end, she will rise against, and lead another army against her Brothers and Sisters, and this time, she will succeed. The time was once known, but is forgotten to most scholars and the general populace. Some think it merely used as a lesson to explain the fall of one of Fexoes's greatest civilizations. But the story is true. And Naoko has awakened. But what of the propechy? What truth lies behind such an Apocalypse Theory? Is there more to Naoko than history makes it appear?
Apocalypse Theory is an original fantasy RPG, not based primarily on either Europe, Asia, or any one region of our own world. The possibilites are seemingly endless, with opportunity open everyone one looks. With races, classes, and a free-form role-playing system, as well as a very friendly staff and friendly members, this RPG has something for everyone. However, be warned if you come: If you think merely a paragraph will be enough to get by here, you're mistakened.
