Board Beliefs

• Members are generally rule-abiding and creative people. They deserve our respect, guidance, and friendship.
• Everyone likes to feel welcome. We should send them friendly PMs, offers to role-play, and respond to their open threads.
• Elitism has no place in an RPG. Everyone should be included in the main plot and decision-making.

This is the basis for the Moderator job at Realm of Arda. You’ll be welcoming members, making sure the board stays friendly, enforcing rules, reading and replying to threads, and answering questions.

We are a canon Lord of the Rings RPG, therefore, a strong knowledge of canon is a must. Movie-verse is accepted, but I would really prefer someone who knows the books well. Ideally, a Moderator would be able to add original essays and links to our database of LOTR knowledge.

Before I hire anyone, I’d like to talk over IM to make sure our personalities mesh and visions are the same. I know this is asking a lot of someone. If you don’t fit 100% but are still interested, go ahead and contact me anyway. Having an interest in the board is more important than fitting all the criteria.
