Well lately I've been having trouble getting to sleep...and when I finally do sleep, I sleep the day away. It all sucks in general.
Your first response may be what my first response would be: Well get off the damn computer and go to bed!
I'm here with this problem after several attempts at laying there for two and a half hours trying. I've been awake since 3 pm yesterday! I should be unable to keep my eyes open!
I've tried all sorts of remedies...I've tried counting...I've tried letting my rp characters talk to each other in my head....I've tried herbal tea...I've tried a hot bath before bed...I've tried warm milk....I've tried eating a potato....I've tried eating a big ole turkey sandwich. I've even used sleep aids...but I hate using them and when I do, I sleep an entire day...Time I'd rather use doing something else
And now I'm at a rather emotional stage of being unable to sleep due to a minor (Really insignificant) which consisted of me being grouchy, him being right and perfectly justified, and I'm crying for some reason because of it. He just came in here because he thought I was mad at him which only made it worse because I'm really not.
Maybe I think to much? I don't know but I'm not quite sure how to stop that. Maybe it has something to do with my pillow (which is on it's last leg)
I've got to figure some thing out.
Ooo, ooo, have you tried listening to music? :p
I have to say that I usually don't have trouble falling asleep because I sleep for a few hours and wake up again and then I'm tired by the time I need to go to bed.
But yes, it does sound like you think too much. If you knock yourself out unconcious, it may help. ;) Or you could try getting some exercise in the day--like running, biking, whatever--where you can think all you want plus benefit your body. You may find it easier to sleep at night.
I'm the opposite - if I were to press mute on the tv and put my head down on the desk, I'd be asleep in a minute or too. I could be out for minutes or an hour or two. When I'm at college (where I have to dance flat out all day) I'm out even quicker (standing up leaning against a wall is a possible bed after a day at college!). But the sleep I get is totally unsatisfying and I might as well not bother.
It's probably not much help to you now because you're already so tired, for the future: try and get some sort of vigorous exercise. Whenever you have a chance. It'll make being awake feel so much better, boost your metabolism and help you to sleep a lot better. :D
*still awake* Ah. Well I have company coming over (so I can't even try right now!) but when they leave, I'll whip out the DDR mat...If I can find the accursed thing....I bet it's hiding...It's sitting with my missing ironing board snickering...While the ants make their attack on the trailer from the ceiling....
