Why did no one read my documentation on balancing skin colors?!
No, I'm not trying to pimp it or anything, but GOSH. I just looked through some advertisements on another site, and was shocked. White boards with pink or light green writing. Dark boards with navy blue or dark blue writing. Even some boards where the words were not easily discernible!
I mean, even bright colors look pretty good on light backgrounds if you do it right! -gestures to the green on RPG-D's skin- Same with dark and slightly less dark colors - just let it be readable.
Get your dang colors right. I can't sit here with my face pressed to the screen all day.

I'm with you on that. I can't stand bright colors because they not only give me headaches, but I had one site once send me into a fit of shakes and twitches. I have seizures, which is kind of sad, but true. So I can't sit here and stare at bright colors all the time. It just isn't going to work.
For my sites though, I take the colors from the banner and work them together.

No, go ahead: pimp your doc.
I once had to leave an RP because I couldn't read the skin. Seriously. I don't know a) why they didn't change it or b) how other people could see the text. I guess it was just my computer. . . .

OH! Add in all that stuff plus all the site info in size 0 teeny tiny font. I mean like plot, rules, etc. Posts fine... it is an inconvenience for me to paste into word to enlarge... but your site info should not require a super magnifying glass.
Also when they do the wrong color scheme with highly decorative scripty fonts that are hard enough to read as it is for their graphics. And what about colors that just look good together? I'm sorry but there are some combos that just should never be.

I've been chased away from my fair share of rps for that reason. Really, my time on the computer has made my eyesight bad enough. Why are these people making it worse?
