Title: Ickle Firstie Needs Hp Board
Description: - For specific character, read details!

Tulojow Nagde - September 8, 2008 02:45 PM (GMT)
Genre: HP
Difficulty: Not snobbish, but not one liners
Type(s) of Creature(s): The HP world stuff - you know, hippogryffs and vestrals and unicorns, oh my!
Rating: Me no like censorship, but - it's a first year so it won't matter much
Number of Members/Activity: Doesn't matter - as long as I don't have to beg or plead for threads
Time RPG is set in: Could vary, but again, take a peak at the other notes

Other Notes:
So, I have a character that I'm itching to play as a first year again, Sasha Schlagenweit Black. He'd been around a bit and I've got the urge to do first year with him again. So, ideally, a board that is only full of seventh years who'd ignore a first year wouldn't be so good. Right? If everyone else are older students but would be willing to have a tag along little firstie, that's fine. He's a cute, scrawny, sometimes timid, sometimes adventurous kid who's, usually, a bit confused about the whole magic school thing.

He comes as an international student and, in the past, I've used a relation to a canon (usually sirius black, since he's got a bit of what I'd consider a tramp the world and meet pretty foreign girls attitude) to explain why he gets accepted to Hogwarts. It'd be grand if I could retain that. In a sense, if I can keep that detail on one board but not the second, the first board would, likely, win the new member award.

So, several of the boards I'm on have died in the post-start-school era so, hit me up folks! Who doesn't want a cute blond 11 year old on their site?

-BUMP-

There are no sites out there that would be welcoming to a first year? I'm still looking if anyone has a site that'd work!

EmmiJade - September 12, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
Well, our site, Bello Estremita (link in signature) would allow you to bring the character, but we couldn't allow you to use the Black name, and no relation to canons are allowed. Everything else is fine. :D If you have any questions, message me at jadewebmissy@hotmail.com on MSN. :D

Emma - September 12, 2008 05:00 AM (GMT)
I am shocked, Mai. Shocked! No double posting here, please! If you do it again Mairead shall suffer...count on it :p If you need to update/edit info please edit the first post. If the thread has fallen off the first page, please feel free to start another topic.

Tulojow Nagde - September 12, 2008 05:41 AM (GMT)
*whimpers* I'd read the rule thread and it said don't bump threads older than 2 weeks. Maybe I missed something? But, I did read the rules before acting!

Emma - September 12, 2008 05:54 AM (GMT)
They are in the main site rules and guidelines. I shall add them to here and the employment center also, to make things clearer -nod-

Mousie - September 12, 2008 08:12 AM (GMT)
Similarly, we don't allow canon, but we have been open two years and running strong the whole time, there's plenty happening and we love younger students! If nothing else, I can guarantee you some play time. Check us out. :D

oh yes we're on our own and
THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO
They taught us to dream.
To believe in an equal society.
Werewolf among us.
Vampires beside us.
Muggles.
Wizards.
Halfbloods.
Together in peace.

The headmaster's daughter is dead.
The headmaster has been fired.
Werrant Pierce has taken control
and he's not a nice little cupcake.
----------------
so we don't need no one like you
TO TELL US WHAT TO DO
Imagine a man stuffed full of the old prejudices
in a position to do something about it.
Imagine being a werewolf, a vampire, or any other halfblood
in what you thought was a safe world.
Imagine that world turning against you - again.

Throw away your hopes for a better life.
To survive, you have to play the right cards to the Ministry.
You can't be friends with the devils they hunt.
Shut your mouth and play the game.
They're watching us entirely too closely.
----------------
we don't refer to the past when
SHOWING WHAT WE'VE DONE
We are not a school just for the rich.
We are not a school just for the pure.
We are not a school just for the smart.
We are not a school just for the human.
We are not going to apologise for that.

We will not be beaten.
We will not back down.
We will not be silenced.
We will fight.
Whatever the cost.
----------------

the past is in your head; the future's in our hands. we are
TALLYGARUNGA
ACADEMY OF WIZARDING MAGIC
and we have always been proud of it.

Sorry for not responding early. I don't check this board as often as I used to. >_<

We would love to have you on B3.
As with the others, we don't permit canon relatives. But you could still keep the Black name. There are plenty of students in the younger years for you to play with. We're a friendly bunch, so you won't have to worry about fitting in. =]

We've been open for over a year. We have approximately 25 members, playing over a hundred characters. As far as writing level goes, it's kind of a free-for-all. We have some beginners, a lot of intermediates, and some advanced people. There's no set plot, but there are a number of member-run subplots you can get involved with. =]

We might not be exactly what you're looking for, but you should still check us out.

We've just moved, having decided on a fresh start (and we wanted to leave IPBFree). We're a HP roleplay, starting from Harry's sixth year - although we started from the fourth year on our old board and worked through. Sirius Black is still alive (check out our plot on the site) and I can't see any problem with you character being related since he doesn't sound like a Mary Sue long-lost-daughter. :p

As we've just re-opened, the characters are only those of myself and my co-admin - fifth years and up, and a few adults - but I know that two of my boys would love a little tagalong like your kid. I'm sure we'll get lots of other members too, and I may even take up my high-school-rp character as a third year or something so your kid isn't too alone.

If you're interested, you can find us here: [link].

We are an established forum having been in play for almost two years. Our board is set in the world that J.K. Rowling created in her infamous Harry Potter series. We are partially canon, set in the future. We were established prior to the release of Deathly Hallows and as such, some of our details differ from what happened in the final book.

We boast intricate and unique plots, friendly members and an awesome, tight-knit community. We have a unique time system, a unique system for magical abilities and a brand new, immersive format for classroom conduction. Our members range in age from 13 to 31. Writing ability ranges from complete newbie to incredibly advanced. However, most of our members write at an intermediate level.

p.l.o.t

In 2020, a traitor infiltrated the school. There were quiet attacks in the night and panic was in the minds of all involved, students and staff. No one had any clue who it was and the attacks continued for an entire school year. Then the Traitor made a mistake. They were caught in the act of killing. The charms professor, Marlene Causcree, committed suicide in a cowardly act but no one knew that upon her death, she'd be leaving something far worse behind.

During the spring ceremony for the deceased, those who'd been attacked and marked with a curse, quickly noticed their painful scars vanishing. The symbols carved onto the victims vanished and carved themselves into the stone floor of the Great Hall. The magical force of this exploded the windows of the great hall, causing pandemonium. The symbols, from an ancient language, had arranged themselves as they were to be read. And the message couldn't be more grim. The curse of Europa is imminent, the death of summer.

None knew the meaning of this until a few days later. That's when the snow began. The snow began and it didn't stop. The storm spread outwards from Hogwarts, eventually enveloping the whole of Europe. In 2024, after almost 2 years of endless snow, some wandering students discovered an entrace to a lower chamber. The staff, in exploring it, found the horcrux of an evil wizard that had established his icy lair long before Hogwarts Castle had been built. The story quickly unfolded that only the blood of the youngest heir to his line could revive him since the blood of his servant had already been spilled, in this case, it was when Marlene Causcree's blood had touched the grounds of Hogwarts.

The youngest heir was the granddaughter of the Deputy Headmistress and this evil horcrux was determined to possess her. In a valiant fight, the professors managed to defeat the being, destroy the horcrux and once again restore order to Europe. But while the staff had been fighting, some creatures, born from the snow, had attacked the inhabitants of Hogwarts. Some would never be the same again. The winter finally ended, the snow melted and the sun came out once more.

Everyone thought that the problems at Hogwarts were over but that thinking was short lived. A new creature began to stalk the castle. It looked like a werewolf, but it wasn't. It was snow white, had red eyes and was bigger than a werewolf. And it didn't come at the full moon. It came when there was no moon. And it came to feast upon human flesh. In the spring of 2025, a massacre took place. A few students came upon the destruction in the kitchens where the beast had attacked the house elves. When the students found the scene, the only human was unharmed. And it was the Head Student herself, asleep in the middle of the massacre.

What next awaits the walls of Hogwarts? You can only find out if you join the ranks.

Okay. Now that the big old boring ad is over and done with I'm going to tell you about our site.

There's not a HUGE member base, but there's like 20 of us. There's a lot more characters however....most of us have at least two, some are up to six. The girl who runs it just took the character limit off too, so that number is bound to go up.

Really, HTNE is just a tight-knit community that loves to RP. Honestly, we talk as much OOC as we do IC. Now, I don't want you thinking that we are cliquey and don't like newbies, because I just joined in June and by July felt like I had been there for my whole life. It's just a really really fun plalce to be and the new term just started, so now would be a really good time to join. Please check it out and if you don't join us, than good luck on your search!

Well, my new game Magic is Might sticks to canon, so descendants of Sirius Black wouldn't work, but we're only accepting firsties so he'd certainly fit in! We're set in 2091, 100 years after Harry started at Hogwarts, so any canon characters are portraits or ghosts. Come give us a look. :)

Growing up isn't easy- and despite what some might think,
magic doesn't make it easier. At Hogwarts School of
Witchcraft and Wizardry, a new year has begun, and the
newest set of students faces their greatest challenges yet:
homework, professors, and making friends- oh yeah, and
surviving Peeves. Some things never change.

But outside the secluded, isolated walls of Hogwarts castle,
something is brewing in the wizarding world. The Daily
Prophet reports a break-in at the Department of Mysteries,
only no one will say what is missing. And speaking of
missing- word on everyone's lips is that two prominent
Aurors have vanished, and another has mysteriously lost
his ability to do magic. For the students of Hogwarts, and
the rest of the wizarding community, one fact is becoming
very clear: Magic is Might.

Set in the world of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series;
all original characters. One of several games at
Dreaming Out Loud, a multi-game role-playing site.
