In The Fire
An AU Present Day Harry Potter Roleplay

It was a portkey, the Goblet of Fire was a portkey. Finding themselves in a graveyard, Harry and Cedric gazed around, wondering where they were. A door opened, and Peter Pettigrew stepped out. Raising Voldemort's wand, he fired a spell towards Cedric, but instead hit Harry Potter, killing him instantly. Fearful of what he had just done, Peter ran from the scene......

A new year begins at Hogwarts, and the students are filled with a growing feeling of dread. Lost without Harry Potter, their hero, the students of Hogwarts are left alone, scared, and unsure of what lies ahead of them. As the days pass, Hermione and Ron receive news from the Order, learning about their small progress at catching Peter Pettigrew.

The growing want to help consumes them, and they begin to gather people to help them. The DA rises again, lead by Neville, Hermione, and Ron. These three are the ones that are left to protect Hogwarts, and their the ones that will make sure no one hurts those they love anymore.

This year at Hogwarts won't be like the others. This year, everyone is on their own. This year, the students are In The Fire.

Um, I can't tell from those basic requirement whether an X-Men board is out of the question, but I can tell you that we are well over FOUR years old, so that 'getting past the bumps in the road' thing... totally! We are also active, but keeping in mind Real Life just LOVES to throw stuff at us that takes us away from the board every so often. However, yours truly is on absolutely every day, and being the creator of the board, that is always a good thing.

So, check us out, and more specifically, take a little look at the plot we are currently doing. It's absolutely awesome, and fun, and just... well, it's like nothing we've done before, and I am not being biased here either. One just has to read some of the posts and they'll understand.

Anyways, hope you like what you see, if not... hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere.

A lot has happened over the course of time, strength and growth clearly seen, as a new school year will inevitably bring more of the usual danger a resident of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters often faces. It seriously doesn’t help that Magneto‘s decision to open a new school of his own has seen many new mutants drawn to the Master of Magnetism's ideals. The Brotherhood Superiorum continues to grow strong, however, it's about to become no longer a school. Erik Magnus Lensherr cannot continue to inculcate his anti human ideals into the next generation if he has to constantly be looking after the duties being Principle entails!

No, it's time to simplify things so he can once again focus solely on the dream that mutants WILL one day reign supreme!

Who really wants to take sides though? Who really cares about either of their ideals? If that sounds like you, then DME is where you belong. Mana4X2's own concept created faction, Damien-Myne Enterprises, stretches over several cities, with its main office in New York City. Your boss is Colin Damien Myne, AKA Boilmet, founder and owner of this Freelance faction;; he offers you great accommodation, excellent pay, and the freedom to do whatever you want…

Cross him, though, and your life won’t be worth living! Boilmet will do whatever it takes to make sure nothing gets in the way of furthering his business… NOTHING, not even you.

And then there is talk that the Friends of Humanity are working on something to eradicate mutant kind and that The White Queen is slowly rebuilding the ranks of the Hellfire Club. Will the FoH succeed? Will the new HFC be stronger, or will it once again fall apart like it did the first time?

Who knows, because only time will tell…

fame hides her head in the clouds. but being normal starts here

"" RULES | CANON LIST | FACE CLAIM | ADVERTISE | AFFILIATE ""

so lets say your a celebrity. your living the life nothing can go wrong you know it. but sometimes fame is to much especially if your a teenager you cant make your own mistakes with out the world reading about it the next day. now normal life is looking better and better every day. life in la is looking shittier and shittier as each morning comes and your face is in the papers. what if there was a school that promised normalcy where you can go to school with other celebrity teens and normal teens. where only the celebrities know about the schools secret and the normal kids are there for the schools arts program.

---

so now you have four years to be normal get a part time job make friends that youll keep for the rest of your life although they dont know your really the guy they crushed on from the movie. or the girl they fell in love with. or for that matter who they wish they were. they have no idea what they wish to become is something your running away from and that you wish to have their life.

---

even though your running from hollywood you still have to do premieres, make movies, put out records and interviews. right? or else hollywood would suspect something if 50 teen idols picked up and left right? so even though you've escaped your still pulled back in from time to time and when you go you remember why your in the crappy town in Indiana in the first place. stardom isnt all its cracked up to be.

---

but how long can you stay hidden with out hollywood figuring out where your coming from or for that matter the normal students to figure out that your the guy they have the hots for. and run you out of the school? when you fall in love can you trust the girl to keep the secret? or will she blab to her best friend and the entire town know? would you take her to a premiere? give her a wig and protect her identity? so many questions that will be answered.

"Welcome to St Mary's/St Peter's Catholic school. Situated on the outskirts of Little Rock, Arkansas we are devoted to serving God. Our little angels of this school are blessings and each one will learn about the Almighty. Maybe they came here on their own whim, or maybe they have gotten on trou-"
This is the typical letter to these two schools. St Mary's has been designated as the girls' school, and St Peter's for the boys. The schools have seperate classes and campuses, but mix when it's time for clubs and dances. The nuns and ministers all claim their children are saints, but everyone knows what goes down in Catholic schools. Either the sexy uniform of plaid skirts with white shirts and red ties that the girls wear get the boys of St Peter's "excited" or the girls are enticed by the boys habits of smoking behind the bushes. The churches and schools really have no idea that their students don't live by the precious Bible. But by their own motto...

At Boarding school...
...no one can hear you SCREAM

Owen Academy’s atmosphere used to be full of excitement, love, and harmony. Nowadays, however, it is infected with unease, tension, and hatred. When the school first opened, everything was fine. The girls took to singing or dancing while the boys took to band or drawing. Acting was unisex; no one really cared who went into that. Things continued in this manor for a while until one year, several new students came and crossed the unwritten gender boundaries of the school. The popular kids were furious and dubbed these new students “outcasts” because they cast themselves out of society freely.

The popular kids ignored these new students and made sure they knew they weren’t welcomed. For a while, the outcasts took this exile and put up with it all for the love of their art. There were some outcasts, however, that didn’t like this exile. They rebelled by attempting to date popular kids, socializing with them, and being all around rebellious. The popular kids were infuriated by this and retaliated.

They planned what was to be the ultimate prank. They would kidnap an outcast, tie them up, and leave them attached to a tree in the school court-yard. That would get the point across to the outcasts to leave the popular kids alone… or would it?

One of the popular kids involved in this prank took it to a whole new level. He started beating on the outcast- as they were tied to the tree- and ended up severely injuring her. She had several broken ribs, one of which punctured her lung, several deep cuts, and internal bleeding, all of which led up to her death overnight. The school’s dean found the body, still tied to the tree, the next morning and immediately expelled the students who pulled the prank and pressed charges against them.

Ten years later, it is almost the spring semester of 2008. Rumors of a ghost haunting the halls of the academic building flew around the institution like wildfire and sparked the interest of several students. they formed a group and called themselves The Silencers. As a group, they planned a ghost hunt of all of the academic buildings determined to find this ghost and put it to rest.

But the night they went on the hunt, a dark chilly night over winter holidays, something went wrong. No one knows what happened that night, only that it happened in the Acting Building. The students went in, ready to hunt this ghost, but never left. the building, as well as every other inch of the campus, was searched from top to bottom. Not a single trace that the students were ever there was found.

Police were notified and the school was forced to close down for the spring semester. Now, it is summer and the school has been allowed to open it's doors again to students with the promise that rules and policies will be stricter and security will be much heavier. Students are no longer allowed to be out alone at night, all buildings are required to have security guards at all times, and all student organizations must be heavily monitored by staff. There are lists and books on the new restrictions for the school.

The students hate it. They rebel at every possible moment. From practical jokes on teachers to simply outright breaking th rules, it seems the entire student body is banding together against one force: the rules. When students with some of the top creative ability in the country join forces, who knows what will happen. But what was that whisper from around the corner? Was it the legendary ghost, Isabella, waiting patiently for her next victim? Only she knows. Think you can handle it?

"Oi! You're Neville Longbottom, You're the boy that lived!" A ginger haired Ron Wealsey appointed excitedly as Harry Potter sat at his side, not nearly as impressed - he was more wrapped up in the minature Snitch that flew between his fingers - he was going to make the Quidditch team just like his father. The Hogwarts Express was packed and that had been the only empty compartment left - the one that held the boy who lived. "D'you have, you know-" Ron began slowly and sheepishly as Neville shyly lifted up his hair - sure enough there was a flesh colored scare the exact shape as a
lightning bolt...

• I won't hit on the next girl I see. •
• I won't hit on the next girl I see.•

It had all happened so fast – it had passed by and Harry wasn’t able to do anything, and just like Sirius, because of it, Dumbledore was now dead. Hogwarts was without It’s favorite and most beloved Head Master. The funeral had been one of the most dreadful things in a long time – the sad and tear stained faces lined the seats as the Great Albus Dumbledore was laid to rest. It seemed the students of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry was ending early, thus making the summer even longer. The students were ordered the pack their bags as the Train would be picking them up the day after his funeral. Things were supposed to go as planned.

•"Hiya, Harry" •
•”Lavender, you’re looking good today. “•

Hermione Granger was up in the girl’s dorm when things began to go off course. It was all fine – she was tearfully packing her bag to go home and reflecting the year in her mind. To most, she was rather out of it. Slowly she moved her winter cloak as something golden caught her eye. Hermione hadn’t a clue what it was… She didn’t have much gold… Her hands wrapped around the object as she pulled it out – a gasp flew from her lips. No.. She’d returned it back to the head master himself, Dumbledore had taken it straight from her hands, she remembered. Baffled and still beyond upset – Hermione headed over to the boy’s dorms to see Harry and Ron.

• I REALLY won't hit on the next girl I see. •
• I REALLY won't hit on the next girl I see.•

“Hermione, can’t you see! He knew this was going to happen or something… He knew we’d have to fix it, just like before with Sirius!” Harry stated frustrated that she hadn’t agreed off the hop. “No – Harry, we –“
“What if we can save Sirius this time, AND Dumbledore!?” The expression on Ron’s face held complete and sheer confusion , “What the bloody hell are you on about?” A look from Harry quickly shut him up as his eyes turned back to Hermione. She was convinced.

• “Potter! What are you doing?”. •
• “Erm, you’re looking lovely Professor McGonagall….•

“Luna, that’s brilliant!” Neville said in a hushed tone admiring the coin in his hand. The Trio were pressed up against the wall only feet away from them, each of their hands clapped over the others mouths. Both Hermione and Harry’s over Ron’s. Merlin, they were getting too big for the cloak. Neville pocketed the coin and looked into the corridor, in only a matter of moments the two were gone whispering about something else. “No.. This can’t be right.” Hermione said, her face as pale as a ghost. “Hermione, what’s wrong?”

“D-d-idn’t you see? Neville has your scar….”

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

James and Lily Potter never died that night – instead, Neville’s parents were the ones that suffered the killing curse from the Dark lord himself. Harry had instead been raised up in his incredibly loving family, with the help of the egotistical Sirius Black. Many things had changed that night – many that completely altered history. When the Trio had used the time turner, they’d done something wrong – something that completely messed it all up. But what? Merlin only knows.

Come join ‘STRANGER THAN YOUR SYMPATHY.’?For what hopes to be an incredibly interesting role play, that allows absolutely everyone to use their wildest imaginations and create the best characters (And expand upon canons into your own creation.) We’ve all lived through the fabulous novels, but now that they’re sadly done – we need to make our own stories, and really – what better way then altering the original so hugely?

Have a look at us too. We started in Rent fandom, post canon, but in the past two years, we've developed into an RL game based in New York which happens to have the canons from that fandom running about. . . You don't need to know a thing about the musical or the movie, since the characters are just characters, nothing more. We're grown up, decent writers, and friendly as can be. Have a look. The banner in my sig's the link.

You're living in America at the end of the millennia. . . and you're not alone.
Alphabet City
We're in the year 1996 and the colorful residents of the East Village in Manhattan are facing the issues which challenge poor Bohemian artists in the mid-90s. Drug abuse, HIV, prostitution, starvation, death, life, and love. However, they find that they aren't alone, friends are all around, and there is always coffee to be drunk, issues to be discussed, and art to be created, good and otherwise. Come join our cast of canon and original characters, featuring a strong sense of community and creativity and find that you're not alone either.
Other notes:Based on the Broadway musical RENT, set post-canon, though slightly AU to keep Angel alive. We have evolved and changed over the past two years from a fandom RP to a RL RP with some fandom characters.  We are lucky to have a great group of OCs who are keeping the plot moving and changing quickly, and we always welcome new writers and OCs with open arms.
We also have a brand new board!  It's pretty and blue and still has that new board smell!!  Come see.  It's pwetty!!!

Hi muggles and magic,

Check out the Black Pullet, we might catch your fancy.

Genre ◊ The Black Pullet is a Harry Potter AU board, but only in the sense that we do not discuss any of the stories or characters that are dealt with in the books. We have our own issues in Magical Ireland and our own troubles with dark wizards; we have simply borrowed the magic and creatures from Harry Potter. We have a general plot guiding our story as well as admin controlled devices (Newspapers, Gossip, Fate, Radio, Townspeople) that steer things in many new directions. There is freedom to explore your own storylines as well as to react to what is happening around you.

Difficulty ◊ We are listed as advanced, but without the attitude. We want to see good story writers but we don't get upset about typos or patchy grammar. We have no minimum word requirement but we like to see at least two paragraphs. Most of our posts are in the 3-5 paragraph range.

Type(s) of Creature(s) ◊ Right now our characters are all human and three werewolves (who interact as humans), with the odd goblin, house elf or troll thrown in. We are open to any creature in the HP world.

Preferred Rating ◊ We are ‘R’ rated, but mature threads are not on the main board and only the writers themselves can ever read them. Swearing is allowed, with only the F word changed to "feck" (we are in Ireland, after all).

Preferred Number of Members/Activity ◊ We're not huge but we are active. Since March we've been averaging about 12 posts per day. There is nearly always someone around with whom to post. I don't know if that fits your criteria as high activity, but we're certainly not dead.

Preferred Time where RPG is set in ◊ The Black Pullet is set in 1969 and the town is very backward. There's no television -- people get their news by radio or the newspapers. They eschew cars and broom travel in favor of horses, trains and boats. Clothing styles date to around the Edwardian period, though young folks have been wearing more modern styles despite the bad looks the receive. Many who live here are fisherman or farmers. They like their ways and are suspect of those who want to rock the boat.

Note: Some forums are not visible until you are accepted.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me here. You can click on my signature to take you to the Black Pullet. Hope to see you soon.

when we're on the phone and you talk real slow, cause it's late and your momma dont know.

love, lust, hate, fate. in any high school across america you can find those factors, and amarillo boarding academy is no exception. there is all the drama of a public school and then some. when you live in closed quarters with everyone you know, emotions run high. the school has about three hundred students, and it's gaining fast. the acceptance is based on your money and bloodline. basically, you have to be rich and be a child of an alumni to get in. exclusivity is the selling point for the students, along with the athletic programs. the parents are sold on the fact that test scores are abnormally high at the school. maybe that's because there are tons of tutors running around helping the students cheat.

"welcome to amarillo baording academy, home of the rangers."

so where will you fit in? you might have money, but if you're too nice you won't get anywhere. you need to know the right people, and will you?

brand new!

Tulojow Nagde - September 14, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
Genre: Alter-reality HP
Difficulty: we consider ourselves intermediate to advanced, mostly in the components of rp. We don't micromanage post length - we expect members to be able to respond maturely and creatively to the unexpected twists and turns rp is known for. Our average post lengths are between 4 and 6 paragraphs but there are members who post much more and those that post less, but we don't stress over post lengths.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Anything found in HP-verse with room for mythology from other places
Rating: We don't censor our member's writing, but if the post content could be considered offensive, we request it be marked as such and, if necessary, hidden from general viewing.
Number of Members/Activity: Currently, we have about seven to eight individual members (with multiple characters) who are active almost daily. We have about another 8-10 members who are active but not always on daily. Most of our members are older and work or are in college. We aren't teeming and are cozy and welcoming. You'd find threads easily enough, though and we've been open since April and the core group is highly dedicated to the site.
Time RPG is set in: We are set in the book's sixth year.

Other Notes:

I dont know if we count as being as active as you are looking for, but there is plenty of rping to be had and we are a friendly, welcoming group. While I should stop bothering with this analogy since no one has heard of the movie, our site is somewhat of a HP meets the Philidelphia Experiment II. I kind of keep using it in the hopes that, one day, someone will understand it.

In our world, an agent of Voldemort's was sent back in time and eliminated Albus Dumbledore's parents. In a world without Dumbledore, Grindelwald's rise to power was uncontested following world war II. Later, Voldemort's ascension in England was successful in his first attempt. The wizarding race is no longer a secret and the magical world rules in Europe and England. Muggles are enslaved, muggleborns either find hiding and refuge or are exterminated - as are the 'tainted' muggles that produced them. The Death Eaters are highly structured and are the primary law enforcement. There are pockets of resistance groups that are quite the breeding ground for insurgents. With the power struggle between the "two dark lords" Grindelwald and Voldemort, there is plenty of room for a espionage, backstabbing and other subversive activities.

We are a mature and dark site, though we have little of the teenagy angst that are a frequent component of school based HP sites. Our site is steeped in the canon world of Harry Potter but has its own extensive backstory and lore. We are open to ideas, inspirations. The signature below will link you to the site if you are up to taking a look (and I hope you are) and, if you have any questions, you can feel free to I/M me. My logins for AIM/MSN/YIM are in my profile here.

Thanks for looking us over!

If you are looking for active, you might want to check my site out! WR has been open for 4 years, and we are in no way going to close any time soon! There are always people on to RP with.

Wizarding Realm isn't technically a Marauder Era RP. We are an AU site, so we have characters from all generations (at least we have in the past). The plot is very flexible to allow for a wide range of creativity.

Feel free to check us out and ask if you have any questions!

Hum.... well, you asked for Potter -- and you asked for HS... we fall inbetween those, so it's worth a try. Tallygarunga has been running two years and one month now. We've never had to re-start or revamp to boost activity, if you check the Today's Active Topics, you'll see we're certainly not lacking in postee.

Set in the current era, springtime in Australia... there's a whole heap of interesting stuff going down in our board 'plot' which you can read all about by clicking the 'plot' link in the advert. Come check us out!

in a position to do something about it.
Imagine being a werewolf, a vampire, or any other halfblood

Imagine that world turning against you - again.

It's not Tudor, but it's certainly historical! First Impressions is a Jane Austen inspired RP, set in 1818. It hasn't got an actual plot, but the subplots are basically the plots of Jane Austen's novels. However, originals are very welcomed, and though we haven't been open for very long, we already have six or seven, and we'd love to have more. Having read any of her books, or seen any of the movie versions of her books is not necessary.

Good luck finding a site.
