Title: Horrificly Picky.

sammyy 0 - September 7, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
Genre: High School / Real life.
Difficulty: Advanced, preferably.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Humans. Only humans, no vampires, no shape shifters/werewolves, faeries, witches .. Well, you get the picture.
Preferred Rating: I wouldn't mind seeing an R rated game out there.
Preferred Number of Members/Activity: Not so many that you lose track of who you were RPing with, but enough so that there's a selection of people to thread with. Oh, and at the risk of sounding like an RP addicted fool, I like when people I thread with reply more than once every 4 or 5 days. I like activity!
Preferred Time where RPG is set in: Modern.

Other Notes:

Okay. I know someone is going to try and convince me to play some Twilight RP .. but I'm really not going to be convinced. I love Twilight, don't get me wrong, but I really don't have imagination to think of vampires and werewolves at the moment. Also, I'm not quite over the disappoint of Breaking Dawn so I'm shying away from Twilight right now.

I'd like the site to be active. I want to be able to find someone to RP with, without them just disappearing. It just bugs me to no end when people do that. I'll consider joining new sites if they look like they have good potential, or they have an amazing plot and what not. So, basically what I'm saying is as long as your site is HUMAN ONLY, and is created with mature people in mind, you can post me a link. Just don't be offended if I say no, I'm really terribly picky.

I like to RP with mature people who are familiar with the English language or at least know how to work spell check. I'm a grammar freak and I like seeing periods at the ends of sentence and capitals at the beginnings. An average post for me is about three paragraphs long, two on a bad day when there's nothing going on in my brain. So, I like people who match my length for the most part.

Oh, and just one other thing. They can be cliche. I don't care if they're celebrity, high school, boarding school, or real life. Okay, that's it. Hit me with your best shot, people!

Well, it's only rated PG-13 and it's intermediate but I figured I'd give it a shot, just in case you were interested.

The Site
The Flipside is a brand new site. With it's first term starting on September 14th, you'll be able to start the fun with the rest of us. Staff positions are open and we're welcoming plenty of new ideas.

The Plot
Baybird High’s students are a bit competitive to say the least.

When the High School announces that they’re going to give the club that raises the most money in the fall fundraiser 2,000 dollars the whole school turns into a warzone. The Cheerleaders won’t talk to the Football Team and the Stage Crew and Drama Club are trying to sabatage eachother!

The Facts
Based in a public school in Vermont “The Flipside” is an original character RP. Make your character and post away. Every 20 IC posts counts as $10 raised for you club. You can RP in classes, the halls and even on the buses to and from school.

Have a look at us too. We started in Rent fandom, post canon, but in the past two years, we've developed into an RL game based in New York which happens to have the canons from that fandom running about. . . You don't need to know a thing about the musical or the movie, since the characters are just characters, nothing more. We're grown up, decent writers, and friendly as can be. Have a look. The banner in my sig's the link.

QUOTE
You're living in America at the end of the millennia. . . and you're not alone.
Alphabet City
We're in the year 1996 and the colorful residents of the East Village in Manhattan are facing the issues which challenge poor Bohemian artists in the mid-90s. Drug abuse, HIV, prostitution, starvation, death, life, and love. However, they find that they aren't alone, friends are all around, and there is always coffee to be drunk, issues to be discussed, and art to be created, good and otherwise. Come join our cast of canon and original characters, featuring a strong sense of community and creativity and find that you're not alone either.
Other notes:Based on the Broadway musical RENT, set post-canon, though slightly AU to keep Angel alive. We have evolved and changed over the past two years from a fandom RP to a RL RP with some fandom characters.  We are lucky to have a great group of OCs who are keeping the plot moving and changing quickly, and we always welcome new writers and OCs with open arms.
We also have a brand new board!  It's pretty and blue and still has that new board smell!!  Come see.  It's pwetty!!!

fame hides her head in the clouds. but being normal starts here

"" RULES | CANON LIST | FACE CLAIM | ADVERTISE | AFFILIATE ""

so lets say your a celebrity. your living the life nothing can go wrong you know it. but sometimes fame is to much especially if your a teenager you cant make your own mistakes with out the world reading about it the next day. now normal life is looking better and better every day. life in la is looking shittier and shittier as each morning comes and your face is in the papers. what if there was a school that promised normalcy where you can go to school with other celebrity teens and normal teens. where only the celebrities know about the schools secret and the normal kids are there for the schools arts program.

---

so now you have four years to be normal get a part time job make friends that youll keep for the rest of your life although they dont know your really the guy they crushed on from the movie. or the girl they fell in love with. or for that matter who they wish they were. they have no idea what they wish to become is something your running away from and that you wish to have their life.

---

even though your running from hollywood you still have to do premieres, make movies, put out records and interviews. right? or else hollywood would suspect something if 50 teen idols picked up and left right? so even though you've escaped your still pulled back in from time to time and when you go you remember why your in the crappy town in Indiana in the first place. stardom isnt all its cracked up to be.

---

but how long can you stay hidden with out hollywood figuring out where your coming from or for that matter the normal students to figure out that your the guy they have the hots for. and run you out of the school? when you fall in love can you trust the girl to keep the secret? or will she blab to her best friend and the entire town know? would you take her to a premiere? give her a wig and protect her identity? so many questions that will be answered.
