SunnyPie - September 4, 2008 11:02 AM (GMT)
Hello.

I joined a fourm, witch i was advertising in my Signature [Now deleted] And i have jsut been made a mod. i did all the admin colours, i made banner suggestions, a lot of nice stuff, to make the fourm look wonders.

Then thats where i got kicked to mod, replasted by someone eles. my mother notising my annoyced asked why, i said i have no CLUE why i'm a mod now.

and DONT wine to me that its life, that will really just annoy me more.

Kwentra - September 4, 2008 11:25 AM (GMT)
If they did not even talk to you first than that is nothing short of rude. Totally out of order if you ask me. Maybe you should speak to them, find out why you were replaced and such. Might make you feel better at least.

SunnyPie - September 4, 2008 11:31 AM (GMT)
I never got told why. i got up, checked the site, say a psot saying 'New Admin!'

i read it, the girl took my palce, i'v been botted to mod. no PM or e-mail telling me why.

Plus, i'm not even a mod! i have member powers. they have NO CLUE how to put codeing on fourms or ANYTHING well, i'm not going to help.

Cosmic Cookie - September 4, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
Seriously you need to talk to them. Ask them exactly why they did that because you got no warning and, as Kwentra said, that is just plain rude. If you can IM them in anyway or even talk to them on a c-box then do. Because if you email them they could just delete it and ignore it.

If they don't give a sensible answer or just don't reply in a reasonable time then, if I were you, I'd leave the forum completely but that's just my personal view.

December, Esq - September 4, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
Don't talk to them on cbox or you'll pull other people into the argument and make the board look bad. Just PM the lead admin and ask him/her what happened. If it was an accident; fine. If they did it on purpose, pack up your stuff and leave because they don't appreciate the work you put in and only took advantage of you.

SunnyPie - September 4, 2008 05:08 PM (GMT)
Well. i checked all my characters and one had a pm. but it was only telling me i was being moved down to mod for doing something big without there peromsion. the only thing i hadded this week, without person was group colours, and thats very easy to change. i even mentioned it in a site annousment. maybe i shoud leave. but i worked so hard to get it going with them. the other admins dont know how to add new things. like the skins they might change into have sidebars but are completly empty. its just relly annoyed me now, thinking about the stuff i did for them, and they take advantage and kick me down.

Cosmic Cookie - September 4, 2008 06:38 PM (GMT)
Leave. Just leave. You put all of your effort into that site and they repay you by disguarding all that you've done and moving you down to a mod? It's just not fair. And it really shouldn't be your problem now if they can't organise their codes and forums, it's their fault they demoted you and they obviously should have thought it through.

SunnyPie - September 4, 2008 09:10 PM (GMT)
i just checked the site.

I did Pm them this morning, and i just read the reply.

I asked them, soemthing like 'why have i been moved to a mod??'

And the owner said to me

'becuase me and the co-admin came on and found the groups where colourd and found out you where going to change the skin'

I said to them 'i wasent going to change the skin!! i was going to put up a VOTE for it. and yeah, i changed the colours, i made the fourm look nice with them. its called ADMIN DUTIES'

i'm just gonna leave when i get a reply. they OVESLY dont want there fourm to look nice wth colours.

December, Esq - September 4, 2008 11:43 PM (GMT)
Yeah, just leave. If they didn't lay down rules about what you can and can't do, then they shouldn't punish you for something like that. It's not like you renamed the board or something, and they certainly shouldn't demote you over a rumor they heard.

You put in a lot of time and energy, but they didn't appreciate it. Move on.

Ise - September 5, 2008 07:11 AM (GMT)

Ive been on sites like that before. You can work so hard and not get the gratititude. I know this is going to sound strange but perhaps they are threatened by your talents? If they regard themselves as the Main admin, maybe they didn't want anyone else getting credit. They picked on something tiny in order to find an excuse to demote you.

IMMATURITY! is what its' called. You've said that you are going to leave so I really hope you do. Don't let them treat you like that.

They'll realise they've shot themselves in the foot when they need to change something and can't!.

metaphorical - September 5, 2008 11:43 AM (GMT)
To play devil's advocate; you should have perhaps consulted your fellow staff members before deciding to tell the members [through means of a poll] that you were going to completely change the look of the site, if you aren't the main administrator.
It's just one of those things you discuss first.

SunnyPie - September 5, 2008 04:15 PM (GMT)
I wasent going to change the sites skin. The owner told me she dident like the urrent skin, i put up a few i liked and asked others to submit some. I was then going to make a vote for all the skins so the members have there say. i was NOT going to change the skin at all.

If you read my eailer posts you ould of relised that.

They never told me what i can and cannot do. i'm deffently leaving when i get a PM Back.

Cosmic Cookie - September 5, 2008 04:25 PM (GMT)
Good because they obviously don't care. And maybe Ise is right, they might have been jealous of your talents and they didn't want you to be getting the credit when in their minds you may be 'lower' placed than them.

You've made the right choice leaving.

SunnyPie - September 5, 2008 04:28 PM (GMT)
told them to delete everything i did, witch they probaly wont. i'v left.

my poor characters *Sigh*

Anyway, yeah, I'm sorry. That sucks. I hate when people do that. My suggestion to you is to... you know, just... eff them. They don't deserve your talents and they'll regret it sooner or later.

Can you read my post, please? Specifically the bolded section.

She put up a poll asking people to submit new skins and by doing so suggested that the site's skin would be changed. That's a bold move for someone that isn't the owner of the site.

Emma - September 6, 2008 06:55 AM (GMT)
I agree with metaphorical. I would get annoyed if one of my admins started a poll without my knowledge for the members to vote on a skin for the board. The main reason for that? I don't want the members choosing the skin! I don't want anyone but me choosing the skin, because if they choose one I hate I'm not going to go on my own board.

I wouldn't have automatically demoted you for it, though! The only reason one should demote an admin/mod without warning is if they are attempting to sabotage the site using the admin CP, I think. But explaining that they didn't want the skin changed or that they'd prefer to choose it themselves or that the staff would choose rather than the members is far preferable to just sacking you. That's really nasty behaviour and worth leaving for.

oreocookie12 - September 6, 2008 01:04 PM (GMT)
I was under the impression that she put up a poll for the other staff members, and then with their okay was going to put up a poll for the members to vote on which one they liked most.

Please, don't get upset with me - I am just trying to make things a little clearer. If I'm wrong in my assumption, then I'm wrong - but I just wanted to make sure there weren 't any hurt feelings on anyone.

But if I am wrong and she put up the poll for the members to vote and not the staff members, then yes - I can understand the other admins frustration. I wouldn't have demoted her, but I would have messaged her and asked her to make sure to clear big decisions like that with the rest of the staff before doing it. Demotion is a bit overreacting, especially if she's done all that hard work beforehand.

It's perfectly okay. The internet is stupid in the way that it's hard to hear tones of people. ):
