Ok, so this member, member x, joined my board a while ago. He took two of the power roles, RPing was going great, plot and writing were through the roof. One day, he starts making suggestions. Bizarre suggestions that wouldn't -really- work in RP world. Like, he wants his character to turn evil and for every character BOARDWIDE to be out to get him. Obviously, I say no - the way he said it seems too god moddy, and he seems to just want his charrie to have more power. Plus, for every single character to want to kill him? Seems highly unlikely. After causing a fair bit of drama, he leaves, killing a few plots that he had planned out with other members.

First, he joins another site (with the same characters). Later, he forms his own board.

His board lasts for about two weeks before it 'dies', and for whatever reason, he does not keep posting on the other site he is on. Three months later, he rejoins our site with a 'false' name. He creates a new profile, and it all seems great except that his powers are a little OTT. I am a little bit suspicious of him, however I do not say anything to make him feel unwelcome. I send him a standard PM telling him that his powers are too great for the character he has choosen.

He sends one back telling me I'm wrong. I'm a little pissed but being the admin that I am, I give him the benefit of the doubt and let him have his character, with a few tweaks here and there. Its not the strongest character on the board by a long shot, its just too strong for the class he chose. I make him a nice sig, I'm generally trying to be a nice person.

However whenever I stare at his posts, it pisses me right off, and I really want to swing the banhammer. I'm not going to - he hasn't done anything wrong except be arrogant to me (and only me) and destroy plots under his other name. I'm not really going to take any action against him....but I do wish to say this:

SCREW YOU MEMBER X. HOW DARE YOU INSULT MY BOARD AND THEN COME BACK TO IT LIKE YOU DIDN'T SAY A DAMN THING. I DISLIKE YOU. >=[

At this point I probably would have shit a brick x 100 and just banned him already, especially for being such a princess. But since you aren't me, well... I guess not. xD

It's really unfortunate that he turned out like that though, especially if he seemed like a decent writer/person/whatever.

Geez, that guy is annoying. I would have banned him after he left, but that's only me. Kudos for sticking it out.

Better safe than sorry. Ban him.

Some people won't get it until they get banned from a forum. And he obviously is thriving on that sort of stupidity, and didn't learn the first time. Tell him to be about his way.

There's this wonderful thing called an IP ban and I would have used it when he left to prevent this. Though we DID have a player do this SAME exact thing. He made up this creature that NONE of the admins approved of and then had a hissy fit until one of them caved.

He then started to stalk a member, powerplay their character, and then decide it was in his right to kill off an unclaimed canon (in the rules it strictly states that canon deaths must go through the admins first). So we banned him. He came back with the SAME EXACT CHARACTER WITH A DIFFERENT NAME about 3 months later. Of course the IP addresses matched and you know.. hidden emails don't work for admins. Welcome to "How stupid do you think we are".

Pretty much we watched and the first little infraction he committed we were on him.

Some people are morons.

Some people? Try a lot of people. A lot of people, on the internet, are morons. Even people who are not moronic in real life are so on the internet just because its the internet. Its pathetic.


Watch him like a hawk, I say. If he has any power trips coming on, just ban him and be done with it.
