Title: Counseling, Anyone?

Avery - August 31, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
Genre: Real Life/Fantasy. Any kind of school, really.
Difficulty: Intermediate or advanced.
Type(s) of Creature(s): Regular humans/humans with magic or powers.
Preferred Rating: Any
Preferred Number of Members/Activity:Any except the boards with a million members. I like new boards, so don’t be afraid!
Preferred Time where RPG is set in:Present/near future.

Other Notes: What I’m looking for is a school rp (realistic or power-enhanced) where I can play a counselor. Maybe a teacher if I get desperate. So if you need staff at your place of education, hit me up.

On a side note, I have a weird little hemophiliac boy I'd love to play. : )

Please, no sites where I have to have a pb. I love them as much as the next person, but I have never been able to find one for either of these characters.

Maybe Lost in a Dream might be for you? It's one of three (currently) games at Dreaming Out Loud, which just opened on Monday, and is centered around people with magical gifts. Also, PBs are totally not required.

What if, one night, you went to sleep and woke up in another
world? A world that in its own way is as real as the one you'd
just left; where actions have consequences, where pain and
hunger and joy are all felt. An unbelievable world of gods
and myth and magic.

For some, it's reality; each night as they drift off to sleep,
they awaken in a world that they cannot resist. An ancient
world of mystery and adventure, just waiting for someone
to take up the challenge. Every night, it is their refuge,
their haven, from a concrete world of deadlines and
disappointments. But what happens when you don't want
to wake up? What happens when you'd rather be
Lost in a Dream?

Set in an original fantasy world. One of several games at
Dreaming Out Loud, a multi-game role-playing site.

One of our schools actually has a counselor, but the other two still need so feel free to join us.
Welcome to the lovely little town of Tottori, population... Well, let’s put it this way; everyone knows absolutely everything about everyone else. Or rather, they would love to. It’s one of those nosy little towns where everyone knows who is hooking up, breaking up, or, even, waking up. Pathetic, right? That’s what many of the inhabitants think but, hey, it’s home and leaving home is definitely harder than one may think when one has been living their childhood. But this isn’t about people growing up and leaving their home town. No... When you are welcomed to you’re also greeted by one of the longest lasting rivalries in the history of the world. Or at least in the world of academia.

user posted image user posted image

May I introduce you to the two most prestigious schools in the country, if not the world. At least, that’s what they think in Tottori and thanks to the outstanding college acceptances, most people would agree with it. There is of course a high school for those who do not attend either of these schools, but those who don’t are frowned upon by the upper crust of Tottori society, namely the people who are somehow involved with either, or even both, of the schools. For Bennet Academy for Young Women and The Darcy School for Young Men are the places to be if you’re someone in Tottori, or if you’d like to become someone. The students at the schools are the best of the best, in some field or another, whether it be wealth, intelligence, artistic ability, etc. But nobody can ever beat the entirety of the student bodies of both schools in their rivalry. Nobody.

user posted image user posted image

When the school’s were founded, they were founded as brother-sister schools and that has never changed. But like all siblings, The Darcy School and Bennet Academy have bickered over every little thing and anytime the two school’s meet, there is always some argument between them and not only in the administration; there is an extremely fierce academic and athletic rivalry between the students of the school. They have meets about once every month, switching off each month between an academic and athletic competition, and the students know one another very well. In fact, the student government of each school meets weekly to discuss joint affairs. If not for the fact that one is located at the South End of Tottori and the other at the North End, one would think that they were the same school. They even have school dances together.

user posted image user posted image

And, since the students are male and female teenagers, well, they ignore the rivalries of their schools in order to fulfill the pleasures of the body and soul. But every so often the rivalry causes some issues in relationships creating so much friction between the male and female student bodies.

Well, here it is. All of the Circumstances in Tottori. And by all, I do mean His and Hers.

In an inexplicable worldwide event,forty-seven extraordinary children were spontaneously born by women who'd previously shown no sign of pregnancy.Millionaire inventor Reginald Hagreeves adopted seven of the children;when asked why, his only explanation was, "To save th world".

These seven children form the Umbrella Academy, a dysfunctional family of superheroes with bizarre powers. Their first adventure at the age of ten pits them against an erratic and deadly Eiffel Tower, piloted by the fearsome zombie-robot Gustave Eiffel. Nearly a decade later, the team disbands, but when Hagreeves unexpectedly dies, these disgruntled siblings reunite just in time to save the world once again
**

user posted imageuser posted image
off course that was years ago.....After saving the world The Rumor and number 5 two of the seven heroes rebuild their childhood house and made it a school for kids with super powers, they would help them control them and teach them how to used them for good. the town where the Umbrella Academy is was renamed Vanya town in honor of number 7 who believed wasn't loved by her own brothers and sister and turned into a villain almost causing the world to end.
user posted imageuser posted image
As the years passed both The rumor and number 5 decided to accept others that didn't had super powers but also creatures such as vampires, werewolves and all the like it seemed like everything was going well but then misfortune hit the Academy as Vanya as well as the apocalypse suite orchestra a orchestra of tainted souls that could kill when they played their instruments struck the city and the academy it was up to the kids to save the day but were encountered with teenagers who were abusing their powers and who had come from horrible environments and were now placing their anger on innocent citizens off course these teenagers where very power and under the control of Vanya they were almost invincible...The rumor and number 5 gather their 3 brothers The kraken, spaceboy, and The seance the five founders of the first Umbrella academy were able to stop The orchestra in time but The Kraken and The rumor died in battle as well as many of the students that's when number 5 decided to make the school strictly for troubled teens with abnormal abilities so that a tragedy like that wouldn't happen again
user posted imageuser posted image
Now the Umbrella Academy is under the rule of 2 headmistresses that were just toddlers when the battle began. In the news there's been disappearances of many muscicians...orchestra musicians and dead bodies have started to appear in the river near the school. Vanya might be dead now but many of her followers aren't. So now is up to the students at Umbrella Academy to decided which path will they take, are they going to use their powers to good and help against the new apocalypse suite or will they choose the dark path and help with the destruction of the earth? only time will tell

**This part is taken directly from the comic series Umbrella Academy by Gerard way.

Counselling would be an interesting addition to School for Scumbags. We're a new site, so we're trying to get the activity up still, and we're rated PG-13.

Welcome to Cairbre Ives Academy

You're here because you're talented in the wrong ways. You know how to pick a lock, hotwire a car. Maybe you can crack a safe, or maybe you've just got a talent for annoying people. You're here because the people who care about you just can't handle you, and want you straightened out before you do something dumb enough to get you thrown in jail. Or maybe you're just here because nobody else will take you. Doesn't matter to us, we're going to rehabilitate you into society.

But not in the way you think.

By the time you leave Cairbre Ives, you'll be a fully functional member of society. JUst not necessarily the society everyone else thinks. By the time you graduate from the Academy, you'll be able to serve in any government agency you care to name. We're not just talking as a spook here either, although there is an element of James Bond to the whole thing. Politics, Economics, even the stuff you need to get you on the NASA space programme; the curriculum at Cairbre Ives is as secretive as it is exciting. So forget grade school and juvenile hall, forget life on the streets and come to Melbourne, Florida. Home to the School for Scumbags

We're new, so our ad isn't quite finished yet, but here's the link: [link].

We're an English boarding school with lots of teaching positions etc. still open. We have PBs but state that they're not compulsory - mainly because I hate being told to have a PB when I don't have one for my character yet. :D

IN A TURNSTILE, BACKWARDS WE FLY, LITTLE ONE, JUST A LITTLE WAY

You thought your life was boring. Dull. Normal. You live in Washington DC and you thought you're life was just a conglomeration of politics, bills, and gas prices. You thought that nothing extraordinary ever happened, that magic was dead, and that fantasy was something found in comic books and role playing games.

Well, you'd be wrong.

Welcome to the Harbor, a portal to another world. Another world, where magic reigns, where magical creatures roam free, and where a dark force is currently ruling. Euphrania, once ruled by two benevolent brothers, is now in ruins, a disagreement between the two sending their world into perpetual darkness. A man of non-royal blood now rules, creating dissent in the people and the very nature of Euphrania. His evil magic is too great to be reckoned with. The only hope for the people of Euphrania is to see a human of true royal blood on the throne once more, but where have they all gone? They've been scattered across Euphrania and the United States. These men and women of royal Euphranian blood are just like you and me, and most will live their life without ever knowing their true place. However, if found by the evil forces of Euphrania, these men and women will no doubt be disposed of... their only hope is to be found first by the good-natured people of Euphrania.

Of course, though, this is not even the beginning. This is the United States, so of course the government has to be involved.

The President has always known of Euphrania, and, since the creation of democracy within the Americas, each president has decided to keep the existence of the other world a secret. But these are different times. These are times of terrorists and murderers and thievery and rape. The current president has decided to create a faction, housed within the CIA, known as the Agency for the Betterment of US / Euphrania Relations, also called-- in a move of foreshadowing, perhaps?-- ABUSER. ABUSER is separated into several divisions, specializing in both research and reconnaissance. ABUSER's agents travel regularly to Euphrania.

But ABUSER is not, as its namesake would suggest, good.

The current President does not like Euphrania. Its existence threatens the very sanity of the world. And so, he has charged ABUSER with luring the people of Euphrania into a false relationship based on camaraderie and trade. When this is achieved, ABUSER will annihilate all of Euphrania, leaving nothing. No traces of the people, places, and magic that once existed. The good people of Euphrania already dislike these newcomers, considering ABUSER has decided to side with the Dark Lord in power for the time being. The Dark Lord has charged ABUSER with several jobs.

One: Destroy all who threaten his will.

Two: Destroy all of supposed royal blood.

Three: Using their technology, attempt to create a replica of a royal human in order to fully capture the throne or Euphrania.

ABUSER is, at the time, fully complying.

Where do you stand? Who are you? 'Cause, man, is this fantasy shit as real as ever, You better pick a side, before a side picks you.

In the Appalachian mountains that are located on the very western edge of the state is located a small town called Clearwater, that was founded next to the Lake that gave the town it's name and on the main trade, Horsemanship. The town is centered all about horses and everything to do with Equine science; From horseback riding to horse racing in Kentucky. The town was founded in 1703 by Donathon Payne who's direct descendant runs his ranch and is the Agriculture Teacher at Clearwater High; But was founded on Ranching.
